Closed. Bad location and the state ruined this place with the road construction that went on forever. Sad.

You’ll pass Short Bear on the way back from playing the slots in Cherokee! It’s a cute little log cabin full of all the trinkets and baubles you would imagine finding at a tourist stop in Haywood County. PLUS about 40 flavors of Hershey’s hand-​dipped ice cream and old fashioned bottles of soda! We stopped in for milkshakes and sat on the front porch enjoying the breeze after a walk around Lake Junaluska. Bonus: The tables have tic-​tac-​toe and checkerboards painted on them for idling the day away!
