Better than last time, even. We ordered the plate of chile verde, a delicious roasted pork in green sauce. The portion was enormous. That didn’t stop us from polishing off three tasty and full tacos as well, though. Corn tortillas perfectly grilled put these tacos over the top. Probably as close to authentic as is possible in waynesville. Service remains superb.

I think Marissa is being too kind with 3 stars. But, then again she didn’t taste that chili relleno ;). I was not impressed with this place. The food was bland, service was a miss and the cheese dip was watery. I actually left cheese on my plate here… I don’t think that has ever happened before… Like, in my life… So, yea i’d definitely say skip it. There’s got to be better Mexican food in the area.

As a girl from the city I am spoiled by great types of delicious Mexican food. While this place wasn’t terrible it did leave a lot of be desired. The best thing I ate was the was bean burrito and the toastada wasn’t bad. The biggest thing was that the queso was watery and the chili relleno was inedible. My other big issue was the service. We could have walked out without paying because no one bothered to bring us the check and no was at the register either when we did finally get our check. I am willing to give this place another shot but I’ll be looking for other Mexican places in the mean time.

Sure, the place is not much to look at, but the food was very good. I was shopping and decided to get some Mexican take out. Just happened upon Las Palmas and thought I’d give it a try. The gentleman who took my order was very friendly. I ordered 3 soft tacos, rice, beans and a chicken burrito. He said it would be ready in 10 minutes. I shopped in the shopping center for a bit and returned in exactly 10 minutes. My order was ready, and when I got home(only 5 min. drive) it was still piping hot. My teenage son(who is very critical) gave it 2 thumbs up. The chicken burrito was very tasty. I will definitely be returning.

Pretty bland. Cheap prices and fast service are about the only thing going for them but you can get that at Taco Bell and the food is better. The salsa wasn’t much more than tomato purée. I asked for something spicier and was brought reconstituted dried peppers. The taco meat had no flavor except for an abundance of salt. The Chile Rellenó was filled with cheese and covered with a cheese sauce made from the same cheese. The guacamole was tasty but the consistency was very thin, more like a dressing for the iceberg lettuce. El Pobre is still the best in town with Los Amigos second.
