Sam’s has some of the best bagels that I have ever had. I highly recommend the flat bagels if you like a crispy bagel. The French toast bagels are also amazing. I’ve never had any problems here, except sometimes they can be a little cheap with the taylor ham on sandwiches. The cold cut sandwiches are nice and fresh. The coffee is just ok, it’s your standard bagel store coffee nothing special there. Another perk is that these bagels freeze very well. When I was away at college my family would bring me these and I’d freeze and save them. Other reviews have mentioned the bagels are chewy, which I can see but I think with a little toasting this problem is solved.

Great bagels, fresh cold cuts, and good sandwiches that come with chips, cole slaw, and a pickle. Never had a problem here but the place could be a little cleaner and smell a little nicer.

The too dense, too sweet everything bagel with olive cream cheese was blah! The olive cream cheese tasted old. The re was sparsely a smear of it on the bagel. The bagel was way too sweet and the inside texture too dense. There was however a very generous amount of toppings as noted by another reviewer. However that only high point of the bagel was quickly dismissed when a a few of those got stuck in my throat and made me choke.

The bagels here used to be ok, but now the angry, confused, tattooed, over pierced small bagel girl behind the counter needs an attitude adjustment. She clearly has a staring problem and could care less about providing any level of customer service. I hope the management pays attention to this.

Disappointing when you’re super hungry and decide to choose a bagel spot over the diner. Gave it a chance but that was their one and only. Order was less than par. They did not put butter on the toast or utensils/napkins in the bag. I ordered two platters and they only made one of the orders into an actual platter — the other was turned into an egg sandwich. The worst part is that I asked for scrambled eggs with mozz cheese. And they straight up put a mini omelette with UNMELTED cheese in between two white breads. They left out one of the two orders of home fries we placed, which weren’t even well done, how we had asked. The only thing they really got right was the bacon– nice and crispy. But that’s about it and I won’t be returning

Being a Willy P. student a few years back this was our go to Saturday or Sunday morning hangover cure. I think I’ve held on to the fun memories of going there for too long. I work right on Hamburg Tpke and this is a convenient place to stop at in the mornings or for lunch, but they have disappointed me over and over for the past year or so. The entire staff there are completely miserable pretty much at all times. The one female behind the counter is so unfriendly and makes you feel guilty when you are placing order, like its annoying to her that a customer just walked in. The bagels are okay and if the staff was friendlier I would put up with it more. They messed up my two out of two bagels this morning and I decided this is when I stop going there.

Liked the super cinnamon bagel, but the coffee wasn’t to my liking. I’d likely not come back. Though the lady we assume is the owner was lovely.

Great lunch place for wpu and college students on a budget. Why pay $ 4 for a slice of pizza at the student center when you can get a taylor ham and cheese on a bagel and a flat bagel for the same price? One of the few places that have flat bagels, and they are very tasty. A little chewy as you might need to toast it but still very good. Everything and salted are my favs and the bagels are always fresh. Can get busy at lunch times, but the line moves quick.

Staff is not knowledgeable about what’s inside bagels. Just average. Great if you like dense, chewy bagels with a leathery exterior.

First, the good: The store is clean and well-staffed with quick service. The not so good : It was a so-so experience. Over-priced taylor ham, egg, and cheese sandwich was on a bagel that was a bit hard and chewy. Sandwich was very very greasy as well. I probably will not go back.

This is the best bagel shop in Wayne. No other shop comes close. They are always busy and with good reason. I love the flat everything bagel. But you can’t go wrong with any of them. Way better than Bagel Stop.

Great spot for lunch or breakfast! Amazing bagels! They have a full menu of hot and cold sandwiches as well as traditional breakfast dishes. Bagels, flagels, mini bagels; a variety of spreads and cold salads

Been coming here for years. Chicken salad on an everything bagel is one of my favorites beside the Taylor ham and cheese. Nothing sending it over the top. They do open before 6 am. Staff is pretty good, changed a lot over years but most of you know the history. Check soda dates. Guess they don’t go as fAst. Need to keep it fresh.

Sam’s is by far the best deli with the best bagels in north jersey, if not the whole state. The scooped out onion bagel with chicken salad can’t be beat… except maybe by the lox cream cheese, something I never dreamed I’d eat! My family goes out of our way to stop here Sunday mornings, definitely get here early for the freshest bagels.

I came here on Sunday around 1:30 pm and was only able to order bagels with spreads or salad. I dk if they were about to close or what, but multiple people walked out upon hearing this. I had just been at Shop Rite contemplating making a breakfast sandwich or buying one. I opted to get one at Sam’s, but only ended up buying a couple bagels and then going back to Shop Rite to buy Pork Roll. The bagels themselves were ok. My pumpernickel one was a bit hard though.

My absolute favorite bagel spot in the world Bagels are big! and have good elasticity, not to bread tasting. The flat bagels(my fav is sesame) are the best, but you need to get them toasted so they are easier to chew. Lox cream cheese is the BEST and has big chucks on nova in it. Sams is also a great spot for lunch, the H1 and H2(breaded/grilled chicken sand) are really good, and i really like their tuna sandwich on 3 pieces of wheat bread w/let tom, and vinegar.

I don’t know if it’s me, but after returning to Sam’s bagels after I dunno, 15-years…I felt like Roy Munson going back to Scranton(fortunately, I don’t have a hook, but I may or may not have a landlord that calls me her little Roy Toy) Anyway, I have always went toe to toe against anyone talking about bagels, *especially* people from the following locations: 1) Long Island, 2) Marlboro/Manalapan, 3) NYC ex Essa Bagel, and 4) believe or not, Fairlawn NJ. I would defend Sam’s fiercely, laughing at anyone, daring someone to challenge Sam’s because I knew it was the best. I just remembered growing up in Wayne, how unbelievably incredible this place was… Sunday just crushed me. The bagels were good, nothing great. I don’t know, I did show up at like 1:45PM, so possibly they have been out all morning… But they were at the point where I would even consider asking to have them toasted… I mean, don’t get me wrong, they were still good, and far superior to anything in 90% of the country, but Sunday just upset me. It’s kind of like if you go back to your elementary school and you can’t believe how little everything is… Did Sam’s change over time, or did I? I would almost say that now that I am older, I have a more sophisticated palate, but my love for McDonalds has only grown over time, so It can’t be me… I will have to lower my head in shame the next time someone from Long Island starts babbling about their bagels.

Now that I frequently stay over in Wayne, NJ on monday nights. I am in desperate need of finding a good breakfast place on the go. Thank god for sam’s bagel and deli. One onion bagel, hallowed out with chicken salad is my kryptonite. And this place does it well. So good that I’m willing to go into this shopping center that only allows you to make a right out of the parking lot, which is super inconvenient since my friend only lives a block over but to the LEFT. I love that you know the bagels are fresh and can have a clear view of two gentleman rolling out the dough and forming little circles for the bagels. This is an unpretentious place that won’t disappoint.

My favorite bagels ever. Growing up in Wayne, there were about a half dozen bagel places within a 15 minute drive. Sam’s is the best. Were I to make a «top five favorite foods» list, a turkey sandwich on an everything bagel from Sam’s would definitely make the list. If you happen to get a warm bagel right out of the oven… mmmm boy. Now that I live in the Boston area, I buy a few dozen bagels from Sam’s every time I visit NJ, and keep them in the freezer. Even thawed and toasted, they’re still 100x better than the circular bread I’ve had in the Boston area. There are so many things that make them amazing, but one thing that cannot be overlooked is their practice of coating both the top AND bottom of the bagel with whichever topping you choose(everything, poppy, sesame, etc). They also serve«flat bagels,» which I’ve never seen anywhere else.
