Three stars only because my second biggest restaurant peeve is getting all your food at once! Service was good with this one exception. The portions were huge! Prices were average. Special dinners and lunches come with free dessert. The tiramisu pudding is outrageously delish. I had a totally vegetarian meal-not on purpose, I just went with a totally different choice of foods. Broccoli and cheese soup was hot and very good. I also had a side salad that was so fresh it was still crisp the next day. Great French dressing, was the thickest I have seen in a long time. They also served a chick pea salad with fresh herbs that was very good. A basket of hot fresh bread and rolls was also served. My main course was the Penne with Portobello mushrooms in a creamy mushroom sauce. It was good but the penne was too soft and the sauce had a bit of a flour flavor to it. Dessert was the bread pudding which was just ok. More custard would have been welcomed. I would try them again for sure.

If I could give them no stars, I would. My husband and I haven’t been to this diner in a couple of years because of how busy we’ve both been so we decided to go back because we remembered how much we liked it a few years ago when we were in the area. In short, the place was nothing like it was. The diner was dingy and dirty. We waited about 5 minutes as both hostesses looked at us but didn’t acknowledge us. Once we were seated, the booth was dirty, the table was still wet from the dingy rag the bus boy used to clean the table. We should have just gotten up and left right then and there. My husband and I both ordered a cheeseburger deluxe and a soda. My Sprite tasted flat and medicinal like the soda lines hadn’t ever been cleaned. Our burgers came quickly and our server was pleasant(the only good part of the night). Our buns were soggy from the lettuce and tomato that they put on the burger instead of on the side. The burgers tasted okay, but something wasn’t quite right. The French fries tasted like band aids – the oil hadn’t been changed in quite a while. To make a long story short, within an hour of eating there my husband and I were terribly sick. Needless to say, we’re never going back to this place – they’re nothing like the original Park West on route 46 – even though the Park Wayne is run by the owner’s son of the Park West. Very disappointing.

I got a french onion which was pretty gross. Extremely salty. It tasted like they put a piece of texas toast in the soup with garlic instead of onion. For the price, the quality sucks. Only plus is they serve alcohol. Otherwise, go elsewhere.

My wife and I ordered the Monterrey Jack Cheese Burger that comes with Avocado, which is normally good. However, this time after eating part of the burger and it wasn’t tasting the same, we realize that there is NOAVOCADO. The waiter forgot to tell us they are out of Avocados. So, after we asked, the were willing to take 50 cents off of each burger. It didn’t taste the same. Sorry to complain, but I expect to get what I ordered.

I ordered pick up from Park Wayne diner. I’ve never been here before and checked Unilocal longing for a Greek salad with anchovies. I called and asked if their Greek Salad came with anchovies and the woman on the phone advised it did not but they were willing to put them on for me. So sure! I figured I’d still give this place a go(even with the lackluster of good reviews). We ordered 2 salads for pickup. The arugula chicken portabello mushroom salad and(as previously mentioned) the Greek salad. The portabello mushroom salad was pretty good! however, the Greek salad really missed the mark. The dressing was tasteless and essentially just oil. The ingredients were ok, in regards to freshness, at best and the feta cheese was certainly not crumble Greek feta, almost creamy and a bit tangy instead of salty. I mean, the place didn’t do anything wrong but I doubt I’ll order salad from there again. 2 stars for the accommodation of the anchovies.

I always come here in the middle of the night while visiting my friend at university and the waitress is the sweetest doll face ever so it pains me to write this review. But Jesus Hail Mary and Joseph the food is not up to par my friends. The way I went about rating this place was I reduced 1 star for each of our meals plus the giant cookie because I almost broke a tooth biting into that shit.

Went here three weeks ago… sandwich was served with a spoiled and discolored tomato. Tried again yesterday with a party of 3. Breakfast Pitza was served with a burnt pita bread… waffle fries on another plate were mushy and eggs very overdone.\ This place was great when first opened… but now the volume of food is still there BUT the quality has gone downhill. Managers on duty were just hanging… did not go out of their way to make sure customers were happy.

Skip this place head to prompton on route 23. The service is appalling, our waitress forgot us and the drinks and I watched a customer self serve because it took too long. The food took forever to come out and when it was bland. Where was out waitress, sitting down with friends having a good old chat then got up and walked around again chatting with friends or the front desk staff — that and she was a grump. Oh I forgot you don’t care, we live in a world where you deserve a tip. This place also needs a good clean, the carpets looks like they were last shampooed in the 2000’s I use to like this place. It’s now on my avoid list because honestly there’s a lot of other okay places to eat in Wayne.

How the mighty have fallen. This used to be my go-to spot during long tireless nights of studying. I would have a tuna melt, along with their famous split pea soup. Their split pea soup with biscuits renewed my faith in humanity. SO good. But over the years, the quality in food and service declined. A shame. I will still come back here, but not with the same anticipation I used to come here with.

I love this diner. The food is awsome and so are the people. The waffles are the best anywhere. Soups are delicious. Elmer is the best waiter ever. Oh and a huge plus. THEYDELIVER!

This is by far my favorite diner in the area. Their dinner specials are amazing… everything is super sized. Entrees are flavorful, really good price for the amount of food. Love the random appetizer they give you at dinner before the meal, it’s a different treat every time, last time it was pasta salad and chickpeas. Seafood bisque soup is AMAZING, but only on the menu on Saturday! Also, their burgers are a win-win. Wish their breakfast menu was bigger!

I ordered a chicken sandwich with mozzarella and french fries to go. They must have thought that I wanted my fries on my sandwich, because that’s where they were. The chicken was very dry, and the sandwich which was served open would not even close because they placed the chicken on completely incorrectly. I basically had to pick apart the sandwich and salvage what I could. I will not be ordering lunch from here again, EVER!

As far as diners go, I would skip this one. The service is so so, the food is so so, the cleanliness of the condiment table carousels is questionable. The only redeeming quality of this diner is that the portions are large.

My favorite diner ever. They have the biggest and yummiest salads and the best breakfast menu. This is my go to restaurant in Wayne. The servers are all great and the food is always consistently amazing. Only thing I wish is that they delivered. They used to deliver but don’t anymore. I’m a single mom and sometimes it’s really annoying and inconvenient to have to do go pickup your food. Please start delivering again!

Called ahead with a large party, first, they didn’t greet us, next they basically shoved us in the back. Finally, after I actually got a table, they didn’t give us a menu, and just dumped our water onto the edge of the table, and made US pass the waters. Finally when we got our menus, I got a Bacon cheddar cheese burger with grilled onions… When it came out, it was instantly soggy. The burger got so messy, that I had to eat it with my fork and knife… Not a great restaurant. Service and food wise. If you have to eat somewhere, this isn’t the worst place I’ve been, but still…

Every time I have gone here something DISGUSTING occurred. The first time I went, my water was served with lemons that looked like they were rolled around on the floor and then plopped into my drink. The next time I was there, they seated me far back away from the main seating area(which had numerous available seating). The waiter hardly came over. The most recent time I have been there it was the worst of all!!! The service was AWFUL! When walking in around 11:30 am, my sister and I stood there for a while before a tall, almost-drunk looking waiter with light brown hair hesitatingly came over to grab menus for us without even acknowledging our presence. This waiter was very rude. No introductions, made faces and walked away. When the food was served, it was a NIGHTMARE! Chef Ramsey would have been horrified. There was a NASTY clump of hair just sitting on the bread. And it wasn’t just hair but it had LINT on it!(Who knows what’s in the food that we CAN’T see). When we told the waiter that we were uncomfortable eating here anymore, he took it very personally. He said, «Just because of the hair?!» which is hilarious. So he violently grabbed whatever food was on the table and demanded, «Wait here.» Social protocol would have us sitting in our booth until the waiter came back(with or without the manager, we weren’t sure), but I’m not one to listen to those rules so we got up and proceeded to the front of the diner where I saw our waiter whispering stupidly to his mom. oops! I mean the manager. NEVER Again.

I’m a Wayne girl. When the KGD(Wayne terminology) closed down to make way for Park Wayne, it was very bittersweet for me, as it probably was for many Wayners.(I just said that). On one hand, my high school burger/fries joint was leaving me! On the other hand, Park West on route 3 is(was) a great diner so now that their family was taking over my beloved King George, maybe I had something cool to look forward to. KGD certainly could have benefitted from some cosmetic upgrading. When it first opened, I was excited to see the renovations. Everything was clean and shiny. Food was really fresh and service was good. Lots of extra tables now that the creepy old bar in the back now was extra dining space. Sorry to report, everything’s gone downhill in the few years Park Wayne has taken over. What started out as good is now fairly crappy. Service noticeably declined as has management. It’s evident at the front desk/register. Holy attitude! Food slipped big time. Not gross, just not close to what it was. Prefer to drive an extra 10 minutes to the smaller and tastier Oakland Diner. Sorry, guys.
