Flemings in Radnor Pa. We made a last minute reservation on a Saturday night. Comp valet parking available. Seated right away. Joe C. Was our waiter. He was very nice. The steak was a 12 oz filet Mignon medium well done. Was done to perfection. Very expensive but worth the expense. Nice atmosphere, nice crowd. Did not hang out at the bar. Make sure you put your dessert in early if you order the volcano.

Let me be clear… the food is very good but it’s the customer service(tonight’s waiter was Peter) that makes the meal. I can’t count the number of tines we’ve eaten at Flemings and, frankly, have found reasons to eat at restaurants other than Flemings due to employees. The food is generally outstanding but the attitude of the staff — recently — has been condescending. Tonight’s server, Peter, was refreshing. Food — the Sunday prime rib special — was top of the line. To Fleming’s management, you should clone Peter for more servers like him and keep up with your high food standards. Prime rib special is three courses: choice of salad(both of us had Fleming’s salad), prime rib with a choice of sides and ending with choice of dessert. Nice treat. A return visit. Tonight’s server, David. Impressive food on New Year’s Eve. Smaller filet(6oz.) came with Fleming’s potatoes; we both had same thing. Blue points and Fleming’s salad… yum. Berries and cream plus coffee for dessert. Glad to report that management seems to be going back to the basics of customer service. It doesn’t matter how good your food is if the staff doesn’t complement it. Tonight, all was better than outstanding AND on a holiday evening.

Fleming’s was situated next to the accommodations work put us in for a work trip and we decided to splurge on our last night in town. Like other upscale steakhouses, the décor and service were top notch. Our server displayed endless patience dealing with our indecisive group of 10 when it came to ordering wine, as well as splitting our bill many ways on corporate cards for food and personal cards for alcohol — it was ridiculous but he made it all easy-breezy. So why only 3 stars? My steak was unfortunately overcooked — twice. The first time it was well-done(ordered medium rare plus). The second one was medium and also didn’t come with the peppercorn crust I ordered. It’s always frustrating to have to wait for the remake-steak to come out, especially when everyone else at the table is chowing down. By the time my remake arrived, I was already full on the sides we ordered. They ended up not charging me for my steak but the damage had already been done and overall, I wasn’t blown away with the food. That being said, I’d still come back if work was picking up the bill :)

Went her for the first time last night to celebrate my husband’s birthday. The staff was extraordinary. Everyone that greeted us from the front desk to the restaurant manger to the bus person greeted us by name and wished my husband a Happy Birthday. PLUS and more importantly the food was delicious! Of course we both had steak! My husband had the Rib Eye and I had the Petite Filet. Both were unbelievable. I will truly return

My boyfriend and I visited Fleming’s for the first time last night to celebrate his birthday. We had an 8:00 reservation and I made a note that it was his birthday. After giving our names the hostess was the first one to wish him a happy birthday. We waited a short two minutes before being seated, along the way this hostess also wished my boyfriend a happy birthday. When seated the hostess handed my boyfriend a birthday card! Wine selection was excellent along with their choice of cocktails and beer. The menu had a wonderful variety of food that would satisfy anyone. I had the Farmers Daughter martini, which was Tito’s vodka with fresh strawberries, it was awesome! The waiter was very attentive and polite, and quickly brought our drinks and bread to the table. The bread came with two spreads that we were tempted to take home. I ordered the Alaskan King Crab legs with drawn butter and my boyfriend ordered the New York strip, we got a side of truffle-parsley mashed potatoes to share. Oh my goodness!!! Both of our meals were to die for, his steak was cooked perfectly! And my crab legs had an abundant amount of meat. The manager stopped by to wish my boyfriend a happy birthday Just when we thought we were done, a chocolate lava cake with ice cream and homemade whip cream with a glowing candle was brought out to our table. How wonderful! Extremely impressed with everything at Fleming’s, will be back!

Flemings is an upscale steakhouse in the burbs. It has free valet parking, or if you prefer, you can park it yourself and walk from the spacious lot. Other than that, I feel when you play in that upscale arena you need to be judged against those other restaurants who offer the same thing that its competitors offer everywhere including downtown. I have been fortunate to have eaten at some of the best steakhouses in the USA as well as in the area. I must use those experiences to judge my meal at Flemings. The décor and vibe is nice — a modern and classy twist on the men’s club feel of steakhouses of old. The staff is very accommodating and customer focused. The hostess was great as was our waitress. I had put in my reservation that we were going there for my girlfriends birthday and they not only wished her a happy birthday, they gave her a birthday card, a box of truffles AND a gift certificate for a return visit. HUGE points scored! The modern Cesar salad was tasty. We had creamed spinach, onion rings and their house specialty potatoes. I thought the sides were small in size. The rings were huge and tasty. Potatoes were good. Spinach was ok. The steak was good but it didn’t blow me away. We were paying top dollar so I expect it to be fantastic. The best porterhouse we have ever had was at Quality Steakhouse in NYC. This was ok compared to that. I have also had better steaks downtown. The chocolate lava cake with ice cream was tasty and they included candles to make the birthday celebration an event. We did not have wine(drank Makers Mark Old fashioned) not because we didn’t want wine but the glass and bottle prices were unreasonable for anything good in my opinion. At the end of the night I felt it was a good meal and we were happy we went there. Our first official date as a couple was at Flemings so we wanted to go there a little over a year later. Next year I think we will go somewhere else. I think we can get a better steak, better sides somewhere else for the same price.

Finally came for the Sunday night Prime Rib dinner, which consists of a salad(I had the Fleming’s), prime rib with 3 sauces(au jus, horseradish crème, and cabernet steak sauce), a side(had the Fleming’s potatoes), and dessert(carrot cake) for $ 42. The prime rib was solid: flavorful and cooked to a perfect pinkish-red medium. The Fleming’s potatoes are amazing, as always, and an artery-clogging concoction of thin-sliced potatoes layered with jalapenos, crème, and cheddar and baked. The salad was very good as well with candied pecans, dried cranberries, and a delicious crispy and cheesy crostini croûton. My mom had the braised short ribs with sauteed spinach, which was decent but I felt that the meat was a little on the bland side. Service was great but the oven actually had a malfunction so we didn’t get the wonderful, warm bread! Our server was very apologetic and actually gave us an extra carrot cake slice to make up for the fact that our meal was somewhat lacking in carbs(HA!). The cake was okay but a bit dry so I would recommend going with the chocolate lava or cheesecake options. Despite that glitch, it was a solid meal, as always. Next time, I will likely get the prime rib medium rare but I am a complete carnivore who literally needs to see red.

Great Restraunt. Great Service Great Food. I would defentily recommend this restraint. ForMy meal I got a Caesar salad. This is a different type thought. They have a romain heart with capers, prosciutto, and Caesar Dressing. I personally love it but if you don’t like how that sounds another great option is the French Onion Soup. For your main course I would get a steak no matter what. They have a great steak rub here and is perfectly cooked 100% of the time. For side I would get cream spinach and French Fries. Those two are a great option. If not I would get the mushrooms or the mashed potatoes. Then desert. The two best options here are the lava cake and the carrot cake. However they make it it’s obvious they are doing something right. This is a great choice for Diner I would go here If I were in the mood for a steak dinner.

Those Unilocalers who went here without ordering steak, I hear ya — the french fries here were really lame! But seriously, I will spare the reader with the obvious comparisons to Sullivan’s, Ruth’s Chris, Morton’s, and the Capital Grille — mostly because the only reason I was inspired to go here was a free $ 40 gift card sent to me by my credit card company, and I haven’t been to those other places. Nonetheless… Fleming’s offers valet parking, but as it was a Monday night there was plenty of parking right around the corner, so we walked 50 feet and saved the $ 5-$ 10 tip. We were seated in a small 2 person booth adjacent to the bar with(surprise) red leather seats and plenty of wood paneling. The dining room was dimly lit, giving all the wood trim in the room a warm glow. For starters came fresh bread with a sun-dried tomato or Gorgonzola butter. There was an iPad on the table if you wanted to look more closely at their wine list. When we finished the bread another loaf appeared without having to ask. My guest and I shared the Burrata for our appetizer, which sounds like a new offering from Taco Bell, but is actually a jar of mozzarella and cream — it was paired with charred grape tomatoes and some very tasty wild arugula. Save a little bread and you can keep the party rolling after you finish the few toasted crostinis. Up next, the entrees, a battle of two medium rare ribeyes: the craftsman prime vs. the prime bone-in. I was told the craftsman was a center cut of a ribeye and was thus more tender. It was certainly a thicker piece of meat upon arrival. My guest and I gave the bone-in an A, while I’d give my craftsman a B+ or B. The few bites that were truly delicious came from my sampling of the bone-in. I believe my steak was under-seasoned — at least it was to my taste. As for gristle I counted 3 or 4 times I was struggling with the meat of the craftsman. We also ordered two sides, with the side of fries being truly ordinary as can be, as well as being really lame, while the Fleming’s potatoes were a very tasty scalloped dish with hints of jalapeño. Finally, we tried the molten chocolate cake — note that it must be ordered before the end of the meal, as it takes 20 minutes to prepare. The flavor profile was that of your basic brownie, with a warm, moist to wet(«molten») center. If chocolate lava was supposed to come oozing from that center it sadly houdinied itself from our piece. That being said, the ice cream, fresh cream, raspberries, and pistachios were a nice touch. Overall, some pretty good steaks, even if I got the short end of the steak this time. If their 1600 degree cooking can be topped in Philly I will let you know sometime in the future.

My wife and I were here at Fleming’s this Friday evening(4÷10÷15). Neither of us eat steak and so the choice of Fleming’s appears a bit surprising. It can however be explained by the fact that we had a $ 40 gift card from AmEx and were therefore willing to give this place a shot. I made a reservation through OpenTable for 9 p.m. and once in, I was seated promptly. The matron left a tablet at the table so that I could look through the wine list and order wines but I gave that a pass. Between my wife and I we decided to go with an appetizer — sweet chile calamari, a small plate — Gulf Shrimp and Sea Scallops and a large plate — the Chilean sea bass. Of these three dishes, I enjoyed the sweet chile calamari the most, with the Chilean sea bass a second. I definitely did not enjoy the Gulf Shrimp and Sea Scallops which lacked any flavor and seasoning. I had to season it with more than a pinch of salt, even though it turns out that I am generally a low-salt person. Also, I found the portion sizes quite small. There were only two medium-sized scallops and two shrimps in the small plate and while the entrée included a reasonably-sized portion of the sea bass, it came without any carbs. Neither the small plate nor the entrée came with any sides which is unusual. We also tried out a dessert and went with their chocolate lava cake. That was by far the best dish of the evening and something my wife and I truly enjoyed. It was rich and decadent without being overly sweet. The molten center of Belgian chocolate was delicious and as we finished up the dessert, we remarked that this was the kind of dish which alone might justify a trip to the restaurant. That said, when I think about my overall meal, I would say that the lack of flavor in the small plate combined with the small portion sizes all across the board left me quite unsatisfied. I also found our server, Angela(?) to be attentive but quite unfriendly and cold. Now my commentary needs to be considered along with the fact that I did not have steak here and therefore your experiences should you choose to go may be different. Given my experiences though, I am however unlikely to return to Fleming’s any time soon.

This is a hard review to write. We’ve been to this Flemings 4 times in the last 6 months. The first time we went, in November ’14, it was honestly in my top 5 meals of all time. We went to celebrate our wedding anniversary and it was delicious and worth every penny. The Hubster ordered a dry aged strip cooked medium and it came out perfectly. I ordered the pork chop, which seems like an odd choice for a steakhouse, but it was nothing short of Devine. We ordered a few sides, the creamed corn(fantastic) and potatoes and asparagus. The Flemings potatoes were good but dry, and there was nothing special about the asparagus– I cook them better at home. Dessert was the cheesecake –eh –and the walnut turtle pie, which was the table favorite. Overall, delicious meal and left the restaurant excited to return. Especially since when you go to celebrate a special occasion, they give you a box of truffles and a $ 25 giftcard to return! Fast forward to my birthday at the end of January. I couldn’t wait to celebrate again! When we returned, we had a hiccup or two with our meal, but nothing horrible. We ordered the deliciousness that they call a pork chop, a small plate scallop dish and my husband ordered a bone in strip. The pork chop and the scallop came out fine. My husband got the wrong steak delivered. No bone to be seen… It was still cooked well, but it was not what we ordered. It was mentioned to the server and an apology was given. The manager also came by to apologize, and to offer a change if needed. We declined, as the steak was fine, just not what was ordered. They offered us two complimentary desserts to make up for the error. We had to do the walnut turtle pie again… and this time we tried their lava cake. I’ll be honest, it’s nothing special, although it’s their signature dessert, I didn’t enjoy it at all! We were once again given a $ 25 card and truffles to return since it was my birthday. Now, in March, the Hubster and I went on a date! Sadly, this time we noticed a big menu change! They took several favorites off the menu and it doesn’t look near as fun anymore. We went on a Sunday and I had their prime rib special which is a fantastic deal! A salad, prime rib with a side and dessert for $ 35! Hubster ordered a bone in ribeye. Both main courses were delicious. I had mentioned to our server that the last time we were there, it was my birthday… And I don’t know if he misunderstood but my dessert came out with a candle and he brought me another box of truffles and a $ 25 card. I told him it wasn’t my birthday and he just smiled and said we can celebrate any time! Well, here’s where my big issue came in– and the big reason for 3 rather than 4 stars. We made reservations for Easter Brunch. My family was super excited to eat a different type of meal here! My 2 adults and 2 kids were seated at a table with our server, who didn’t seem pleased that no alcohol would be ordered. He brought out a plate of 5 biscuits for the 4 of us. They were a bit overcooked and salty? Maybe too much baking soda? The kids loved them. Hubster had the prime rib, I had the eggs Benedict, one daughter had the kids filet and my other had the kids French toast. Our starters were a Caesar salad and I had the lobster bisque. Their Caesar is good. The lobster bisque had a great flavor, but the consistency was more like a broth than a bisque. There were two nice pieces of lobster in it. The kids had a nice fruit plate with chantilly cream and chocolate on top. You could tell the fruit had sat in the fridge for a while, though. I had to remind my server about my kids apple juice that never came at the same time that I had asked for more biscuits. There was only one left and my girls each wanted another. The server, Marcello, tried to tell me that they might be all out, but he would see what he could do. I asked him for just one more for each of my kids. I found it odd that they might be all out, since brunch was on for another 2 hours. Main courses came. Hubster’s prime rib was delicious and my daughters steak was great, too. The eggs on my Benedict were definitely not poached and very underdone. Oh, and they were cold, too. I would up removing them from the rest of the dish. The filet on my Benedict was good, though. Now, my daughters French toast was really more of a bread pudding. It was delicious, but different. The kicker was when I looked down and noticed that the foil from the pan lining came out attached to her meal. A very large piece of foil! I notified the server who just grimaced. He packed up our meals and brought dessert. He brought the manager out, who apologized and took the French toast off the check, which was kind. We were also given 2 more $ 25 cards to return. Each meal has gotten progressively worse here and I don’t see them fixing issues. Just trying to appease customers by throwing money and desserts at them and hoping we give them another shot.

Top notch I’m not going to lye it’s pricey but WORTHIT we had birthday for our daughter everyone said happy birthday by her first name very appreciative of us being their. They had a photo booth for everyone for free. The only thing I can say that was a pinch off was we had the grits & pork belly witch really did not have any real meat in it all though it was VERY good. Great choice just remember the price. Tips are its dressy upscale casual.

After reading all of the positive reviews, I had really high expectations for Fleming’s. My family and I had dinner there for the first time this past Sunday, and I’m sad to say I wasn’t overly impressed. Granted, the service was great, and my French Onion soup was amazing, but my Filet Mignon left a lot to be desired. It didn’t have a whole lot of seasoning, and there was a piece of fat that ran through most of the filet… and there should not be any fat in filet whatsoever. Fortunately I had the Fleming potatoes to fill me up. My husband ordered the Ribeye, and he had a few bites of gristle. Really??? For those prices, that should never happen! Now my father order the Prime Rib, and loved every bite, and my mother had the Surf & Turf, and thoroughly enjoyed her meal. I truly wish I had better things to say about my meal. Again, great service, but just an okay meal.

Visited January 25, 2015 The«girls» went out for happy hour and we wound up at this beautiful restaurant. 3 had eaten full meals here before but I had not so I was very pleased when the appetizers I tried were YUMMY. The Happy Hour menu is energetic and exciting in a culinary fashion. The appetizers and cocktails were so high end and reasonably priced it made our get together more enjoyable. I enjoyed: The Tenderloin Carpaccio with a cocktail called«Spiced Zinfadel» Both were imaginative and satisfying. We each took an appetizer bite from each other and the resulting poll yielded 4 of 4 diners were happy with the Appetizers and cocktails.

Sooooooooo good. Great service. Want to go back everyday. I ordered the peppercorn steak and it was really really good. I tried their signature blueberry lemon cocktail and that was really good as well. Tried their strawberry basil and wasn’t a huge fan but it want bad. Their Flemings potatoes was probably my favorite side dish offered at any steak house. I’ve been to many of the steak houses in the city and never been the Flemings before but I’m glad we went. The highlight that puts Flemings above the others is their attention to detail like the complimentary parking, Coat check and the car being brought to you by the time you’re outside the door. You don’t see that kind of service in a lot of places so it’s great to see how much they are thinking of their diners. Can’t wait to be back!

I’ve had my share of good expensive steaks at restaurants from Chicago to Kansas to Nashville and I can say the Ribeye I had at Flemings was the best steak I’ve ever had. The steak was perfectly cooked and seasoned. Nice, hot. Great cut of steak. Service was wonderful too. Attentive, perfectly paced. The whole experience stood out to me as one of the best restaurant experiences I’ve ever had. It actually made me happy! (just don’t sit by the door when it is cold outside-people hold open the door for each other and the wind just blows in). A little noisy too at the beginning of the night.

Prime Ribeye. Best steak on the mainline. Great drinks, atmosphere and service. Right on lancaster avenue with plenty of parking in the back, or valet for convince. Dimly light steak house with great appetizer choices and even better entrees. Crab cakes, ahi tuna and grilled shrimp were all amazing. My prime ribeye was even better. If by miracle you have any room for desert the lava cake is unreal and not to be missed.
