This is perhaps the worst tasting frozen yogurt I’ve ever tasted. Very watery stuff kinda tasts like very sweet water.

Frozen yogurt is a favorite in our family, but not at Yogo Novus. The employees were rude and unhelpful. I asked if any of the flavors are gluten free(I am gluten intolerant) and she pointed to a nutrition guide… not going to get that kind of information there. When I asked if she had any other written literature including ingredients or other allergy information, she said no. Their website is very poorly done and does not tell you anything you would need/want to know. The rest of my family did eat there, but no one was terribly impressed with the yogurt, and they were all terribly unimpressed with the service they received. The employees were too busy talking amongst themselves to care about customers and one was eating her dinner of sesame chicken right there by the cash register and the yogurt toppings. I don’t think any of us has any desire to go to Yogo Novus again.

Being, yet another, frozen yogurt chain around the Charlotte area, YogoNovus brings some familiarity to the yogurt scene. Never heard of this chain before(If it is a chain) but they’ve got the ikea furniture, line of yogurt taps and toppings galore like many of the other yogurt joints. A rather small space but houses gratuitous amounts of outdoor seating. I’ll break it down: Pros: Simple topping bar. Not choc-a-bloc stuffed to the rafters with candy and sticky morsels. A very humble arrangement of small cookies, coco nibs, and fresh fruit. This is paramount. Fresh fruit trumps canned fruit. Every time. It shows a lot more dedication to flavor. Cheesecake yogurt is good(Note: in moderation, mind you) Outdoor seating. Need I say more? Perfect for a summer evening. Enjoy the small, Waxhaw sunset and quiet. Cons: Unfortunately, the cons outweigh the pros from last night’s venture. Self Serve. This always, always, always gets so messy. Especially with kids. It can be fun, but really needs to be monitored better. Used cups sitting on the machines, sticky surfaces… Yeah. No thanks. Yogurt flavors are rather weak. Strawberry, original tart and chocolate are all wrong. Very icy and only houses a ghost of flavor. Mainly the texture. More of a «slush yogurt» if you will. Very small indoors. If there’s a line out the door, it’s hard to even pull your own yogurt. Always my least favorite to say, but the staff was very rude. Not only to our group, but other customers and one another. Woman running the cash register held no patience. Definitely something to take into consideration. I give YogoNovus 2 of 5 for some small, fixable issues. In due time, I’m sure they’ll make some changes and be more efficient. Cheers!
