Long wait here at this hospital… doctors are not thorough at explaining things… Methodist is a better option if you can make it there.

My wife and I used Baylor Scott and white. The Doctor was great. The people who worked their were very helpful. And the follow up was amazing. I would definitely recommend this place we loved the service the doctors and the staff. We will be coming back again.

My sister had her appendix out there a couple of weeks ago. The facilities are very nice and the rooms are plenty big. It’s great having a nice hospital in Waxahachie. The waiting rooms have free wifi. As with any hospital experience, the bill was ridiculous, but that’s everywhere now days.

Food in the Hospital Café is ok, but priced like the airport. Try the yogurt parfait if you have a desire for soggy granola. Don’t go onto the patio with your food unless you take something with which to clean your table. Wiping tables appears to be a universal shortcoming at this facility. Medical staff is friendly and helpful, but their favorite response is, «I have to check with the Doctor.» Second favorite is, «Well, what, exactly, do you want me to do about it?» Machines that are supposed to alert the Nurses’ Station DON’T. Bring your hiking shoes. It’s miles between departments and patient rooms. Good luck if you come to see a patient after hours. Extra miles are required to come in through the ER.

Forget what you may have heard. Being unable to breathe SUUUUCCCCKKKSSSS. I unfortunately know this first-hand because I’m an asthmatic. When you’re having a really, really bad asthma attack, the world around you starts getting really small, your chest hurts, you feel panicked, and all you can do is just relax and try to breathe. This fear is heightened even worse when your breathing treatments aren’t cutting it. This is the position I found myself in last week. I had not experienced an attack that bad for years. But, thanks to the talented team and staff, I was able to navigate through a particularly daunting process and I literally left with a smile on my face. The ER staff was amazing, kept cool heads, were extremely empathetic, very sweet, and listened to me despite the machine reading one thing and me experiencing another. If they would have chosen to ignore my symptoms, I would l have ended up in a very bad way. I appreciate their thoroughness. Before I left, I had to write an evaluation on the staff so they heads could see what type of talent they have on their hands. I’ve worked in the medical industry on and off for the longest time, I know stellar bedside manner, I know my rights and I’m not afraid to exercise them. I’m thankful that unlike other experiences I’ve had the the ER in the past at other facilities, compassion and composure seems to be the baseline for how they approach patient care.
