Awesome food! We had the big Stanley and granny Peggy. The sandwiches are huge and we got a side order of fries. They are fresh cut and have a unique dipping sauce with them.

Stopped in for breakfast while on vacation and they have some of the best breakfast sandwiches and wraps I’ve ever had, as well as great deli options. I highly recommend stopping at this place.

This place was a great find. Stopped by due to a local restaurant only taking cash and glad we did. This place has everything you need plus more. Great spot to pick up that item you forgot and not have to trek all the way to food lion in Avon.
The beer selection is great, the deli is amazing and the sandwiches were very large and freshly made to order.
The best part about this place was the people. Very friendly and very welcoming. Will be visiting multiple times while down here.

Really good deli, nice people very good selection deli is a little slow but good once you get it! It’s only .5 miles from our house so it’s a nice walk if you need one! It’s open from 7 – 12 daily so if you need a last minute bag of ice for the beach or some firewood to build a fire this is your place!

Excellent hearty sandwiches at a fair price!
In our short visit to the outer banks, this shop quickly became our favorite. We stopped in for a few quick items and ended up trying the sandwiches. We were hooked. I had the Granny Peggy, a huge helping of turkey, brie, apples and a delicious red pepper aioli. My other half got the Ron Swanson, an appropriately named roast beef and cheddar, piled high with tender meat. They use Boars Head meats and cheeses, which is always a winner in my book… Tasty and less fillers. The cold sandwiches were perfect for staying in the cooler on a trek to the beach.
I also picked up some fresh fruit (avocados! Hard to find without a drive down here!), some classic candy (big league chew, giant pez, dots, etc) and a $.50 pirate eye patch for my nephew. Made his night!
On our way back home, we made sure to stop and get a famous breakfast burrito (wake and bake) which was soft, huge, and stuffed full of a little bit of everything breakfast in a perfect mix with just a hint of spice from the chipotle sauce. We were in heaven. Also grabbed two more sammys for the cooler (told you we loved them!) The Zack Morris (divinely delicious chicken salad) and the Mr Hermann (reuben… without kraut per my request). Again, all delicious.
To boot, the staff was super friendly and they had some nice local art in the walls for sale. Grocery wise, they fill the gap of other local stores, providing more unique or trendy items us city dwellers are more accustomed to seeing.
I wish the waves market well and hope to see them year after year!

If you like delicious pop culture themed sandwiches on homemade bread, Rolling Stones pinball machines, funky soda selections, shirtless young men and a wall o’ beer… Have I got the place for you… The password is «Dude! That’s my sandwich bruh?!»
Definitely stop here! Richard Swanson and Zack Morris were bomb and the kids sandwiches come with animal crackers and fresh thin sliced apples.

The deli is really great. Their sandwiches are very tasty and are served late into the night. I like the fries, which are very close to true frites, but I would prefer the white sauce to be a little less sweet. The market is well stocked with all the provisions you could need.
