This place is amazing! We were all blown away by the food and service. We all (5 of us) ordered the dinner special… Prime rib, shrimp skewer, crab cake and slaw. We all ordered our prime rib differently and they all came out perfect. The shrimp was cooked well and the crab cake was ridiculous! It was the best crab cake I’ve ever had! I had to ask the waiter what was in it. He didn’t know, so the chef came out and told us. He was very friendly and appreciate our kind words about his take on crab cakes. If you like crab cakes, this is the place to go! Overall our services was great and friendly. The food… fantastic! Next time i’m in Waves, I’ll make sure that is on the to-​do list for dinner.

Amazing crab cakes and service. I feel bad I was thrown off about the tipping because there’s a tip
bucket and you order food from the bar. I didn’t tip as I should have. The draft beer was excellent as well. What a great hidden gem!

We stopped in here because they were advertising coffee — and it was well worth it! It was one of the best coffee’s we’ve had in a long time — honestly! The owner (I think) cooked us both up custom delightful coffee beverages, gave us a lot of tips on what to do, where to go and what to see. Glad we stopped in and never underestimate the power of advertising coffee on your marquee sign!

I ate lunch at Watermen’s last week. The sesame crusted ahi tuna with the wasabi cream sauce was heaven sent. Unfortunately, the «medium rare» was a little too done for my preferences, but the taste was right on! My boyfriend also enjoyed his burger, but his citrus slaw was a bit «blah.» The place was pretty empty, and we were served quickly. The quality and quantity was appropriate for the price. The view of the water from the picnic tables outback was nice too. I’d imagine this is a really fun place with live music and the outdoor bar.

This is the first place we are out while vacationing at the obx. It’s also prob the best spot around to eat with a good view and great food and entertainment. They have a bunch of water sports your can get into in the back like kiting and jet skiing. The place is open and has plenty of tables for hanging out. The food was also amazing. We knew the area is known for seafood and this place couldn’t have been any better at providing great seafood. I honestly forgot which type of sandwich I got, but it was definitely fresh and on point. Thing I love about seafood is that it can be filling but also light on the stomach. I had a great time here wit my cousins and we enjoyed watching people kite in the back. Would recommend coming here if you’re staying in the Outerbanks.

This place has an awesome, laid back atmosphere. The chips and salsa were insanely good, although a little pricey for the amount you get ($ 9). I had the blackened Mahi Mahi dinner and my husband had the burger. Both very delicious. The view is fantastic. You order and pay and someone brings your food out. So although it’s not an actual dining restaurant with waiter/​waitress type service, it definitely has the feel.

Great place to sit outside for lunch on the OBX! We went with our whole family — party of 16. Vegetarian, kids and folks that need GF options and everyone was happy. Lots of flys or I would have given it 5 stars.

Me and my wife went on a Tuesday which is 2 for 1 fajita night and we had both the mahi and tuna with the tuna bites as an appetizer.
Excellent food, beer and exceptional service! Will return.

Off the main road, on the sound side nice place to stop for lunch. Casual and large to accommodate any size group. I got the Mahi Mahi wrap, good spice and cilantro sauce on the side. The side I selected was the slaw, it did not have much taste at all, but the wrap and my husband’s crab cake sandwich made it worth the price and trip.

Omg… the Tuna sandwich is by far the best tuna sandwich I have ever had… a full 8oz of rare locally caught yellowfin Tuna. Everything is made from scratch… well everything except the Tortilla chips. If you are in the OBX, this place is a must.

Best guacamole ever! The food is really great here, creative and fresh. I had tuna, while my husband had crab cake and kids had burritos. There is also a kids menu with good prices and that is greatly appreciated.

This place is very cool. Modern and the ideal beach life setting. I ordered the Buffalo Chicken Wrap and I loved it! Great flavors. They also have rentals and a surf/​clothing shop! At night they have a live band as well. Check it out.

Great meal, great service and awesome variety of drinks and beer! I especially loved the Coconut Curry Chicken Salad Wrap. Our team was in the NBA Finals and we appreciate the TV’s inside so we could keep track of the game. Beautiful views of the sunset. We’ll definitely go back.

Staying in Salvo, this is the best restaurant in this area. I don’t understand if people bring your food /​drinks to you, why you have to get up to go order every time you need something. Other than that the place is great. Been twice probably will go back soon.

Good location. The restaurant was position perfectly for my son to watch the kiteboarding.
Good food. The BBQ chicken burrito was very flavorful and spicy without being too spicy.

Although we were a bit intimidated coming in with 3 kids including an infant, we had a great experience. The staff is friendly, welcoming and helpful. The food is outstanding (we tried the surf ‘n turf, seafood platter and watermen’s burger, with wonderful fresh grilled veggies, yummy tortilla chips and garlic mashed potatoes). And according to our 7 year old and my husband, the Pb & J is awesome!
It was foggy when we came, so we didn’t get to enjoy the view, but I’m sure it’s a lot of fun to watch the water sports on a fair day. The atmosphere is clean, modern and hip, but comfortable.

We ate twice here on our week-​long stay in Rodanthe. When I’m on vacation, I never go to the same spot twice. It’s THAT good. The fresh blackened tuna bites were absolutely fantastic. Do yourself a favor and get some. The first night, I had the ribs and they did not disappoint. The order was huge, and the flavor & sauce were on time!
The second night we went there, our whole group went. There were 8 of us, and they accomodated us just fine. I had the crab cakes, and they were absolutely out of this world as well. Everyone in our group loved their food, and especially the tuna bites!
We weren’t there on a live music night either time, but the outdoor area overlooking the sound is a really cool spot. The service both nights was fantastic, fast and very friendly. I will definitely come here every time I come to the OBX.
