We were a little hesitant stopping here based on the name and the looks but the crawfish omelet and biscuits were delicious! Our kids loved the pancakes. Would definitely recommended for breakfast.

Had been wanting to try Da Kitchen Too since shortly after moving back to the Bay/Waveland area back in April. Finally did yesterday(26October2015) when I had to wait for flood waters to recede from the streets around the parents house. Excellent food at great prices and nice portions. Had the Country Fried Steak that came with 2 eggs, diced potatoes(will also try the grits next time), toast an unsweetened(only way I’m not a good southern boy) iced tea. Also want to go back to try their lunch one day. Will add more once I get to do that. 27October2015. Eating lunch her with father. My shrimp po’ boy generously loaded and his spaghetti(Tuesday lunch special) is a generous portion. Prices still great. Po’ boy delicious with and without the Louisiana’s Pure Crystal Hot Sauce. Father says his spaghetti is good.

So you’re from out of town and want to know what Southern-style comfort food is, right? Well, you’ve come to the right spot. The restaurant itself is unassuming… plenty of regulars(and a table full of cops… that ought to tell you something). Not being from the area at all, my family and I wanted to try out authentic Southern food, so we ordered the following: 1) shrimp Po boy 2) gumbo 3) shrimp pasta(for the kid) 4) liver and onion 5) «something» Katrina 6) Fish and chips First, the servings were RIDICULOUSLY large! Unless you haven’t eaten for four days, I suggest you order sensibly. Second, the amount of seafood piled on was equally ridiculous! They almost seem like they want to get rid of their seafood stock. Lastly, the food tasted great. Don’t come in here expecting French Laundry cuisine… none of the food is delicate. It’s just very wholesome, very filling and very well done. It’s a really good value… and an equally good experience.

You like good home Cajun cooking. You got to come here. All kinds of home cooked dishes and Cajun dishes. They have a excellent lunch specials all the time. The seafood platters are the best and great. The poboys are giant and loaded. Very friendly staff. Go in and say hello to Huey and the girls. If you leave still hungry, there is something wrong with you. They have a great selection of desserts. It is a great place to eat I gar-on-tee.

WARNING: PoBoys are addictive and SERVETWOPEOPLE. Mine was a foot long and held 26(!) fat fresh oysters. We loved this place. Do not be put off by its humble appearance in an older strip center. They serve wonderful fresh gulf seafood prepared simply and served hot. Polite efficient service, nice clean restaurant. Reasonable prices. Kid friendly, nice local place.

Outstanding shrimp salad. more like a platter… I could eat only 1⁄3 of it. brought the left overs home. Not much lettuce but over a lb of grilled small spicy shrimp. Croutons, chopped cucumber, diced fresh tomato & ¼ cup grated cheese. Delicious. not a fancy place but plentiful food & fast service. Jerry had hamburger steak.15 ounces. corn & potatoes for only $ 9.95.

This place has the best onion rings and fried shrimp poboys I’ve ever had. I don’t eat meat just seafood, so I haven’t been able to try a lot of their other stuff. But, the catfish is delicious as is the fried shrimp salad. Seriously this place is delicious!

This is absolutely the best«regular» breakfast in the Bay area with great service. For under $ 5 you get 2 eggs, meat, delicious grits, toast/biscuit & coffee! It is w/chair accessible & although it’s very casual & homey, has gorgeous hand-painted murals on all the walls. My FAVORITE place for breakfast :-)

Wow! Great seafood po-boys! The overstuffed shrimp po-boy is enough for two. Onion rings are as good as they get. Breakfast here is great, too. As their slogan says… «good olé southern cooking».
