My morning vanilla latte was excellent. The lemon-blueberry muffin was the best I’ve ever had. It was HUGE, loaded with blueberries and very flavorful — not too sweet and not too bland. Now that I’ve placed this review — the early risers will probably eat them all I miss the Caribou in Brookfield — but the drive to Peet’s isn’t all that bad now that the road construction is over — and the coffee and treats are worth the longer drive. The staff at Peet’s is always competent and friendly. Also — try the Mayan Mocha and the Dirty Chai — both are winners!

I thought I’d visit this place and try their pumpkin latte, especially since I had a $ 1 off coupon. This was my first time here. The staff were generally friendly, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting, especially on the rainy day. The barista seemed competent, which customers can take for granted in the corporate boom of coffee shops. This was the good. The bad was the pumpkin latte itself. It was overly sugary, and tasted incredibly artificial. Any coffee flavor was lost in the sea of syrup and sugar. I could barely drink any of it, and I had to cleanse my palate with a cup of black coffee when I got to the office. The barista did a great job, however, I think it’s just a horrendous recipe. The blame is not on this location, but the chain’s recipe for this drink. Give this place a try, but be weary of the sugary drinks, especially their pumpkin latte.

Amazing lattes and very friendly staff! As a Collectivo fan, this is some more coffee done WELL in the Milwaukee area! It’s quickly become my favorite coffee shop!

Great atmosphere, wonderful service, delicious coffee. A bit small and I’ll admit I miss Caribou but still a decent place to go :)

A fine, California-based coffee purveyor that I like patronizing when I’m out west. Problem is, I’m not out west. Peet’s marches east with their franchising efforts, and I can’t say that’s a bad thing. After all, they make a pretty good cup of coffee and I really dig their beans, but in the 414, I’m going to Hawthorne Coffee Roasters, Valentine, Colectivo, Stone Creek or Anodyne for my caffeine fix. Sorry, Peet’s, them’s the facts. Perhaps that’s why you’re located near the border of Milwaukee and Waukesha counties – those west of Hwy 100 need to get some good coffee in their lives and if anyone can bring them over to our side, it’s probably you. Nonetheless, keep doing what you’re doing because between me and you(and Caribou and Starbucks), you’re the best!

Decided to stop into Peet’s for the first time after a drive down to Waukesha. The location is perfect for a coffee shop, nestled right between Mayfair and an extremely busy road. When I walked in you could feel right away at home with the wholesale coffee beans and the friendly staff. We really liked the décor, especially the industrial light fixture above the large table. People working here seem like they enjoy their job which reflects onto the customer. I asked the barista his recommendation on his favorite bean and he was knowledgeable and easy to talk too. I was surprised to realize that this isn’t a local brand since the staff seem so friendly. I got the dark roast house blend and it was very rich and smooth. Definitely will be back when I’m in the Wauwatosa area. BTW, the girlfriend is in love with the Maple Latte.

Nice change-up from Starbucks. To my knowledge, this is the only Peet’s around town. They’ve got some great specialty coffees in addition to their house brews that I think is worth a try cause they’re pretty tasty. I got the Pumpkin Latte after the cashier rather easily convinced me to buy it. Thank you Connor, it was delicious as ever. The people that work here seem really great and fun, so that’s worth coming here all by itself. I do think the coffee shop is a little small, so you might have a little trouble finding some good space if you need to meet up with a few people. Other than that though, I would probably rate this 5 stars.

Awesome! I’m a former addict of a large chain of popular coffee shops, but this is sooo much better! The drinks aren’t cloyingly sweet nor do they fill you up like a meal. They are just super delicious coffee beverages. The salted caramel mocha is amazing as is the service. If I lived closer I would be here all the time. Love it!

This location recently changed from a Caribou Coffee to a Peet’s, and I love it! Yummy coffee — they still have eggnog lattes during the holidays(Starbucks does not — boo hiss!). Every time I go in the staff is friendly and helpful. They often chat with me while they make my drink. My drinks are always good and the bakery items are fresh and tasty. Try the chocolate croissant — yum! It’s been getting busier and busier as people discover its awesomeness, so visit now while you don’t have to wait too long to experience all the tasty goodness this location has to offer.

Finally Peet’s has made it to Milwaukee! I love Peet’s(and have for years). This Tosa location is an awesome example of why I love this place. It is really a beautiful location with a good amount of seating. Clean, bright, and inviting. A perfect place to grab a cup of coffee to relax. I have been to easily over 20 locations and this is in my top 3.(My local store on Fillmore Street in San Francisco is my favorite). I was only in town for a day, but when I heard about this location, I took a special trip over to grab some coffee. What did I get? My usual: Large, iced, whole milk, caramel latte. They have a specific way to melt the caramel sauce appropriately into the iced latte. Some locations are better at this than others. I am proud to say that this Tosa location nailed it. MMMmmmmm. Creamy caramel and coffee goodness to slurp through my straw. If you have not tried on, just indulge at least once… If you are in the market for beans I recommend Major Dickason’s blend. I use it for making espresso drinks at home(but one can use it for making regular coffee as well). I have had coffee from Stumptown, Blue Bottle, Alterra(Colectivo), Philz, Intelligentsia, Four Barrel, etc, etc, and I always end up going back to Major Dickason’s as my bean of choice for home brewed coffee. The staff was incredibly friendly(per usual with Peet’s coffee). Service was quick and accurate. If you have never been there, stop on by for some awesome coffee.

Your roasted coffee is rich and lovely. I will be back to buy bags of coffee. Colectivo– watch out. This coffee is better.

Leaving this 4 stars for now but I’ll be back. I ran into Peets all over San Francisco last year but as a Starbucks was across from our hotel, I never quite made it there. I was intrigued by the selection of coconut and other specialty frappucino-like drinks(called«frio“here) i kept seeing in their ads. So imagine my surprise when i came across a stand giving out samples and coupons for free drinks at summerfest, to announce their new tosa location. As others have mentioned, its in a bit of an odd location, in the old caribou coffee store in a strip mall it shares with«jojos martini lounge»(i always feel ridiculous just saying that for some reason), & the western outpost of world of beer. Staff was super nice, latte was excellent(even did a little design on top with the milk.) You can get a soy OR almond milk latte, matcha green tea, and yes, tons of coconut drinks(on a little sign to the right !) They sell k cups here too and were running some specials. Im hoping they make it a little further east(even if only to the village part of tosa) but either way I’ll probably be back — latte and the croissant i had really hit the spot!

Peet’s is something I was spoiled with when I was working in CA for a couple of months. The coffee is amazing and the service we received is A+. Really, for a place that just opened, you’d expect more growing pains. We went on Saturday morning on our way to the Waukesha Farmer’s Market and there were only a couple people there. It’s as if people don’t know it’s there yet… on the corner of Bluemound and Mayfair Rd. We were greeted immediately and discussed what we wanted while we were at the counter. The staff offered us a sample of the iced coffee and explained to us how they make it, which was awesome because everyone makes it differently. My friend ordered a pound of coffee and they ground it there for him. They even let him know that if it was too finely ground, he could bring it back for a new pound AND keep the old pound. What kind of awesome return policy is that?! We both ordered iced coffees and chatted with the staff a bit. I’m really impressed that they seemed so confident in their products and they have only been open about a week. If you’re looking for some delicious coffee, check out Peet’s. It’s a refreshing change from Starbucks and Colectivo — we just need one to open up closer to the lake and my friend and I will be all set!

Love Peet’s!!! Coffee is so good!!! Also the new blended Frio drinks are delicious!!! Been waiting for one of these to open up here in Wisconsin since we first had it in San Francisco. Renewed addiction here we come!!! P. S. The dark roasts are so good for those that love the full flavor and a little kick.

My first visit. The owner of Peet’s bought a bunch of Caribou coffee locations and this one is now open in Wauwatosa! And this is only the second outlet in Wisconsin. Location is not that great because it is on a very busy intersection. Parking was available — there is no drive-thru. This venue is smallish — and not many soft seats to lounge in. Staff was very friendly. I had a fantastic cup of their dark roast. They will grind you a pound of your choice of coffee or tea to take home. Let me end by publicly stating I am biased. I started drinking Peet’s at their original location on Vine Street in Berkeley. Hard core coffee! In the ’90’s Peet’s was always considered superior in NorCal to the«corporate» Starbucks chain, and to this day it has always been my fav brew. My wife has always preferred their tea.(Note: Peet’s is now owned by a German holding company.) I have had their coffee in Madtown(UW — Student Union) and have purchased java on their web site. But because of the ubiquity of their competitor’s outlets, I usually end up at one of them. But I shall return to Peet’s in Tosa.

Definitely a lighter and brighter space than the old café. It reminds me a little of Magnolia’s Café in NYC. The staff is friendly, helpful, and very welcoming. The pastries aren’t anything special though and the coffee seems pretty standard. It’s a great location and space for a small meeting but, if you’re looking for something that’s going to leave you wanting to come back for more, this place falls short.
