I just spent 30 minutes of wasted time at DSW. I wanted to make a purchase however they don’t take personal checks. I didn’t see this on the door. I don’t believe in cc and don’t have a debit card for book keeping. For a business they could easily have a check scanner like SAMs club of Costco. At minimum, post a sign on your door that checks are not welcome so neither of our times are wasted. In all fairness, I was asked if they could hold the shoes. No, I’d rather spend my $ 100 elsewhere…

I’ll give them props for variety, that’s for sure. Flats, wedges, heels, booties, boots, purses…2 loooooong aisles of flats followed by 2 more of heels? My kind of store!
They sell men’s and kids shoes here too.
Although I didn’t find what I actually came in here for, I saw several pairs of shoes that I would have liked to go home with. I did not buy anything because, PRIORITIES, people!
I’m sure I’ll be back again sometime; if not this location, then one closer to me, but, I was quite happy with the overall selection.

DSW has moved to Mayfair Collection — the new strip mall at Burleigh & I-​45. It’s looks like a good move for them — to me, the space seems larger than what they had previously. That may be because everything is on one floor instead of being split up but the overall flow is much improved.
Selection, like any discounter, will be hit or miss. You’ll do best if you come in with a general idea of what you want rather than hoping for a super-​specific style. The new location seems better organized than in the past and for the most part, there was a wide range of sizes available.
Know your prices, though — sometimes the same pair can be found cheaper during sales at Boston Store or Macy’s.
