Trying out new salons always makes me nervous. It’d been awhile since I had my hair done so I was willing to spend a good amount on what I wanted. I wanted a bayalage more natural look and booked an appointment with a level 5 stylist. The salon came from recommendation from someone who typically saw a level 3 stylist so figured 1. Going to the highest level and 2. There is pricing specifically on the site for balayage and ombré so the salon should specialize in how to do it. Wrong. $ 160 later I walked out with a choppy hair cut and blonde highlights on the underneath of my hair nothing close to what I wanted. I brought in a picture and said I wanted it exactly like the picture. Dark brown with a gradual caramel balayage. I’m emphasized I wanted it to look natural but noticeable. I wanted my natural color to be a bit darker brown so there was color done on the top of my hair and a bit throughout to «blend» it but what I ended up with was dark brown on the top of my hair and chunky blonde highlights under neath. The color was not supposed to be just underneath my hair. I hesitated writing this review because the stylist was really sweet and we got along great but at the end of the day I was there to have my hair done and shelled out quite a but of money. I understand it’s not going to be EXACTLY like the picture but my hair literally could not be further from it. I asked friends and family what they thought and they said it didn’t look BAD but it was nothing like what I wanted to any capacity. My hair is long and I didn’t want any length taken off just a trim, and my layers touched up. My hair’s layers are horribly choppy and there is literally nothing natural about how it looks. When talking with the stylist they explained to me ahead of time exactly what they were going to do after I showed them what I wanted and it sounded like EXACTLY what I wanted so I was excited to see the result. At the salon I said I loved it and I was thankful but it wasn’t until I got home and over the next few days through styling my hair I realized how much it wasn’t like the picture nor what I wanted. I’m not horribly picky or hard to please to be honest but it’s gotten to the point that I’m ready to just dye over it myself and have someone recut my hair because I don’t feel confident at all. Such a disappointment :(especially for a salon that advertises pricing on these types of services. I’m giving it 2 stars because the staff was all friendly and the salon was nice but ultimately the services were not what I wanted.

I still love Cody and Company Salon. Katie is my longtime stylist. She always gives me an awesome haircut and coloring. In fact, I went there today at lunch to get my haircut. It turned out perfect. I have never had a problem with a service, product or customer service. I love the location. The salon has a homey feel. I have a hard time believing the one star reviews from people that have not posted any other reviews. Linda the owner will always take care of a problem if there is one.

I’m deeply saddened to write this but I have given up on Cody and Company. Not because of the fabulous stylist, Taylor. But because of the lack of care each time I’ve called for an appointment since April. Something clearly has changed. I’ve not been greeted kindly, warmly or with any sense of customer service. When there was difficulty making an appointment the person answering the phone just said, «She’s not available»…then dead air… I waited and asked what my options were. She didn’t seem to know. The last time this occurred I asked if I could see someone else for a cut. I’m not sure what happened but she finally said yes and I made an appointment. Half an hour later it hit me: I don’t have to go through this every time. I can go elsewhere. It’s like a lightbulb went off. I called back and cancelled my appointment. The stylists at C&C deserve better support. I hope they will get it.

Bad haircut. Should have listened to reviews I saw other places online. Bad environment. Hairstylist seems to not care at all about me or my business. They have Aveda yes, but so does everyone else.
