The Crossing Restaurant

This is a nice place for us to come on days we get tired of the places we normally go to – wait that doesn’t sound like a compliment but it is. By the time we get here on Saturdays they’ve started serving lunch. I like the BLT Club sandwich when I have a lunch and usually go with one of the specials when I want breakfast.

My favorite breakfast spot in Waukesha. If I want pancakes this is where I go! Great specials, lots of windows so lots of natural light, service is great– fast and friendly.

Great little place for breakfast. Nothing fancy, but good solid food. Service was friendly and I like that all the employees help each other out; especially making sure everyone’s coffee mugs were filled.

Stopped in after an interview. Had Chicken Cesar wrap. It was very good. came with a bowl of chili which hit the spot, and was tasty, on this cool spring day. People were friendly. staff was busy, but I got my food in a good timely manner. Reminded me of the warm family dinners but with modern faculties. It is clean too.

I have been trying to get here for a while now but with the closing at 1 pm on the weekends I just never got there so I decided to go for breakfast instead which works much better.
At 6:55 am I was the first one in and my choice of seating was anywhere I wanted. The place is in a strip mall in a cool corner of the building. The place has a fresh modern look with high ceilings and exposed ducting. The dark seating was a nice contrast with the wall colors.
I posted the menu since there is no online menu. The menu has breakfast, sandwiches, wraps, salads etc and a daily special board as you walk in.
I was the only one there for the first 10 minutes before people started coming so my service was great. I would have the crossing skillet with two eggs and toast, see my pictures.
The skillet was bacon, ham, sausage and not breakfast sausage with mushrooms, green peppers, onions and hash browns topped with two perfect sunny eggs and cheese. The skillet was very good and fresh tasting to say the least. I liked how the soft and crispy hash browns contrasted with the fresh/​crisp vegetables with the melty cheese holding it all together. This skillet was very tasty but the sour dough toast was very weak and if I was blind folded I would have said its white bread.
Overall my breakfast was very solid even though I was trying to get in for lunch but that just has not worked out. I would defiantly recommend the breakfast here and I would rock it again.

I first heard about this restaurant from my cousin who lives near by, who highly recommended it.
I have been here a few times now, and have always had ‘breakfast for lunch’. I like places that do breakfast all day.
My first impression of the place was how clean everything was, especially what I could see of the kitchen from the ‘lunch counter’ (a great touch for this kind of place i might ad).
The service has been fantastic both times I have been there, and the food was very good, made just the way I ordered it (not exactly off the menu) and was reasonably priced.
This week when I was eating at the counter, a guy was poking around behind the counter, and in the kitchen. I thought he was taking inventory, but it turns out he was the health inspector.
He and the owner had their meeting at the end of the counter next to me, and let me just say, I will DEFINITELY be coming back ! Their report was excellent, and the inspector was going on and on about how clean the kitchen was.
The location is a bit tucked away, but it is decidedly worth going out of your way to stop in.

I really enjoy coming to this place, as the staff are extremely nice, the food is excellent, and the prices are very fair. They make a great breakfast in particular. It is a very comfortable environment, and whenever I’m in town I like to stop by for breakfast or lunch. Highly recommend!

Breakfast was quite good. Not too greasy. Service fine. Coffee awful. Like water. I loved my gyro omelette.

A local family gathering spot that satisfies your stomach nicely. The main breakfast menu is eggs but there are a few other things. The corn beef hash was good and so was the sour dough toast. When you are hungry for breakfast and in the Waukesha area come by for some good eggs.

Great place in the area for a quick and delicious breakfast. We traveled to the area for a basketball tournament and were unfamiliar with the surroundings. Unilocal reviews led us to this spot and we were very pleased.
Service is Excellent, food is tasty and brought out quickly. This is the place to go for an all around pleasant experience!

Service great and so was the food. Found the place on the way back from the wrong address ordeal. If you’re looking for it, it’s at 119 waterway rd and it’s in the same stop as Jimmy John’s and the snack depot.

We have always come to this restaurant for their great breakfasts, but on a fluke driving by at night, we decided to come for their Friday fish fry. We were not disappointed and so glad we came for dinner. Hands down, one of the best fried fish fries around (and I grew up here, having been to many a Friday night fish fry). The potato pancakes were HOMEMADE and very delicious. We will now be coming for breakfast and dinner (now I’m eager to try lunch). The waitstaff are always very accommodating, considerate, and fast. It’s a very kid-​friendly place, too (love the booths). Always a great experience here and glad it’s close to home!

I have been eating here regularly for some time and have always had a good experience. Convenient location from work and it is great for getting «real» food quickly at a good value. Even when they are busy they turn the tables well for the lunch crowd that needs to get back to work. Or you can sit and enjoy a bottomless cup of coffee while having a casual working lunch.
They have a wide range of daily specials from traditional american, tex mex and a good fish fry on Friday.
The restaurant and bathrooms are always clean and the staff are friendly and give great service. Breakfast all day is a big plus!

A nice breakfast place with good food and good service. We had a nice Mothers Day breakfast.

Nice little spot where you will get a good meal most of the time. Had one bad experience out of maybe 20 visits. They served me a cold lunch special and instead of redoing the dish, they microwaved it. A big pet peeve and the owner didn’t think it was a big deal and never apologized afterwards. She actually seemed rather cold to me when I went to pay and never even apologized. Not sure if she was embarrassed, upset that I complained about them warming my dish in the microwave, or just felt it wasn’t a big deal. Wish they would have handled it better but they are not a bad choice if you are in the area and want some breakfast.

Excellent, consistent quality, breakfast and lunch 7 days per week. Great Friday night fish fry.

Let’s get right to it. The Crossing is clean, quick, and really delicious.
Coworkers and I went for lunch on a Friday. There were 6 of us and it was busy. The hostess was able to put together a table right away. While she was arranging the table, no less than three other employees inquired if we needed help and were being taken care of. A good start.
I had a hard time deciding between the tuna melt and the fried shrimp special. I went with the fried shrimp and then started regretting my decision as I saw a bevy of tuna melts rolling out to people around me. All regrets went out the window when my big plate of shrimp and crinkle cut fries arrived. Just a delicious fish fry all the way around. I also got to sample some coworker’s salads — fresh and tasty. Everyone left very happy with our meal. We will definitely be back.

This is a great tucked away place.

Great diner style breakfast food with quick service. The eggs were perfectly scrambled to a nice and fluffy texture. The bacon was thick and crisp. And most importantly the coffee refills were frequent and numerous.
