Nice coffee spot in Wauconda. The counter area is quite small, however there is additional seating in the back. Prices are reasonable and the coffee tasted very good! I was there mid morning, and there weren’t many bakery items left so come early if you want a snack with the coffee!

New owner is very nice and has done a lot of remodeling. Great baker too. The coffee is great and the lounge is nice.

Honey Hill has always been top notch! and now the new owner just brightens the place up with her smile and energy. She has updated the décor, which was much needed and it looks great! The coffee and the cakes are as always… GREAT!

I went here for the first time this morning and it was pretty good! I got an iced latte and it was great! I usually go to Whisk but the service is way friendlier at Honey Hill. The man behind the counter was super nice and took the time to ask my brother and I about our day. I’m definitely going to recommend this place to everyone!

It was my first time at honey hill coffee, man was it tasty. I ordered a small cappuccino and had it flavored with the irish cream, i definitely got my moneys worth for the drink. The delightful man behind the counter was so friendly and let me take my time ordering. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who wants a great cup of coffee and friendly service to go with it.

They advertise they’re open 8 to noon on Sundays so we drove over to try it. Got there at 10, door is locked, lights are off, obviously not open. What a waste of my time.

Ok, so I had a really bad headache and wanted a place that had really good and strong coffee. I read the reviews on this place, and figured«Why not?» I’m telling you — service was phenomenal! I wish I’d taken a moment to get his name, but he was very welcoming and polite! Coming from NJ, it’s hard to find people that would take the time to greet heir customers, even if it’s for a moment while receiving service. Top notches for that! He was dealing with another customer at the moment, but other than that small delay, it was five star service from start to finish! And the iced latte with hazelnut flavor and whipped cream I got from there was nothing short of AWESOME! I also ordered a couple slices of cake on recommendation from a couple locals, and I was in awe when I tasted it! I would definitely recommend this coffee shop for anyone visiting the area. It’s money well spent, and great people to make you feel like one of their own!

I’ve been going here since I was in grade school because it’s right down the street from school. Hot chocolate was always the best after school treat — also the best hot chocolate that I have had to date. Now I get all different types of coffee. They have a different flavored coffee everyday, which is a nice way to change it up a bit. OH and their baked goods are the best ever! It’s all home made and another great treat. Honey hill is a great place to go have coffee with friends, sit and just read a book, do homework or grab something on the go!

I very much recommend this local coffee shop to any coffee or tea lover. It has a great personal atmosphere and the baristas are very friendly. They tend to remember your name if you return regularly which is great… adding to the personal feel. I always love driving through the downtown area as well.

I love the coffee drinks here. I got an iced caramel today. Trust me, always get the whipped cream, it’s amazing. As good as the coffee is, the best part of going to Honey Hill is Jeffrey. He is super friendly and great at the art of conversation. Plus he always greets me by name whenever I walk in. How cool is that!

They have the best iced carmel latte! Yum! Always great customer service. The only thing I don’t care for is the whipped cream, and I love whipped cream! It needs some sweetness or flavoring added to it. Other than that, the drinks are delish!

This is by far my favorite coffee house. All the workers are so friendly including the owner Patrick. They know my favorite drink. I dont need to tell them. Also Patrick makes the most delicious deserts. And best part, their HOMEMADE!!! The only time I go elsewhere is when their closed and I am in mood for frozen coffee. If your looking for great and friendly service and great coffee/deserts I suggest give honey hill a try! You wont be disappointed!!!

I’ve only been here once so I am basing this review on that day. We had just finished eating lunch across the street and decided to give Honey Hill a try. I’m not a big coffee drinker after a meal but since we were in the neighborhood and wanted to try them out we went for it. As you enter the shop the counter is right there. There isn’t a whole lot of space to lollygag or mosey around when trying to decide on what you want. Since I like to lollygag when making my decision I felt a little awkward, confused and uncomfortable. This tends to happen to me every once I while. I can’t quite explain it but it does. While trying to decide on what I wanted I noticed that there was seating in the back of the shop down the hallway. This helped us decide to drink our coffee there. The girl behind the counter was very nice and helped my wife in making her decision. She didn’t come off as a know it all or annoyed barista. She struck up a conversation with us while we were making our decision on what to order. I ended up going with a coffee while my wife went with a tea. The odd thing was that my coffee was served in a paper cup rather than a coffee cup. I’m not sure if the washing machine was broken or if this is the normal but it wasn’t what I was expecting. As we entered the back room with our beverages of choice I noticed that it was filled with what seemed to be local artist works of art. They are hung on the walls and the pieces are for sale as they have prices on them(not my type of art). The room kind of reminded me of being in a basement of an old house and sitting on any chairs that they happened to have in the room. The bottom line: I guess you could say that this place is divey. The coffee was fresh and good but served in a coffee paper cup and the staff was very nice.

This is the kind of locally owned business I love to support. Top quality espresso beans brewed properly with an always changing menu of clever coffee drinks. The baked goods are made in house. I visit here often while my daughter attends class nearby. I wish their weekend hours were longer, but no complaints about the quality of food or drink at this comfy café.

I love coming here when I am visiting from Colorado, I can’t get Metropolis coffee in Denver so I only go here when I’m in town. Everyone that works here is amazing, I’ve been in Wauconda for a little over a month and as soon as I walk in, whoever is behind the counter knows my drink. If you’re ever in Wauconda and you want a great cup of coffee and great people, go here. Forget Starbucks.

Let’s start with the most amazing, scrumptious pistachio cake I’ve ever had. My friend ordered a slice of carrot cake and was absolutely amazed. The coffee is excellent. I ordered a pumpkin spice latte that was perfectly balanced; not too sweet, not too bitter. The café seating area is super cozy. We loved that they sell loose leaf tea. One criticism: the source tins are what they let customers smell the tea from. This exposes the tea to air too often, creating a weak brew. Four stars for a café I will definitely be visiting again.
