This review is specifically for headstones only. I generally don’t review, but I’m posting only because I hope others don’t have to deal with the craziness of what I went through during an emotionally charged time.
I’ve used Tri County for random projects over the years but never for typical trophy type of work, so I can’t speak to trophy related jobs. Jason had told me at one point that he started making headstones. Given that he’s always come through with what I’d needed done, I was comfortable to go with him and it also seemed like it was a quicker turn around than a typical memorial shop. WRONG, this mess ending up taking about 3 ½ months to resolve. First it was all kinds of delays from a variety of non sensical reasons, then the stone was etched on a 1″ thick slab and glued onto a cement slab. This was specifically banned by the cemetery and he knew that and we’d discussed it, yet he went ahead and made it that way for reasons unknown. Then it took him another 6 weeks or so after that to get another stone.
My grandmother passed away 5÷11÷14, Jason and I discussed the headstone about 2 weeks later. I paid him ½ deposit to order the stone while I prepped art. I got him art on 6/4/14…I finally dropped off an acceptable headstone today, 9÷18÷14.
Again, I can’t speak to trophy side of the business especially given that he’s the only game in town, but save yourself the heartache and potentially explosive situation and go somewhere else.
