I will preface my update with the fact that I usually go easy on reviews for mom and pop places because I give them the benefit of the doubt and they work REALLY hard for their livelihood. That said, I cannot hold back on this review. The business operation and food is so horrible here, that it feels like the owners are straight up disrespecting all their customers by serving them disgusting low quality«food» that I would hesitate to even give to my dog. To start: I haven’t been to this place in a few years and was desparately hungry at 12noon on Sunday. I thought, it’ll be healthier to eat here vs fast food bc the ingredients are whole and fresh. At noon, they only had 4 – 5 choices, many of them looked like they had been sitting there drying out for some time. I asked for white rice, general’s chicken and broccolli chicken and an order of pot stickers. First, all portions were small, smaller than what Panda Express would give out. They were served on a styrofoam plate with dividers and it didn’t even fill the tiny dividers! The white rice was the poorest quality texas long grain rice. The broccolli chicken had a REALLY funky taste to it that I could not recognize. It truly made me wonder what it was because it was so funky. I shudder to imagine. The order of potstickers was 3 for $ 4. When he told the chef to make an order I heard the deep fryer drop(I know this order was for me I was the only one in the place). I thought, I hope those aren’t my postickers bc that is NOT how you make them. When they arrived, I was right. 4 big potstickers deep fried, when I bit into them, each had extremely raw dough inside. The worst, was the General Tsao’s chicken. There were about 2 larger bites and 4 small bits. I at the small one first, weird, where’s the chicken? I ate the next few small pieces, no chicken. I thought, what a rip off! At least the big one should have chicken. I cut into it to check. ALLDOUGH with the tiniest sliver of chicken! WTF!!! I paid money for this??? Add a bottle of «Kirkland» water to my bill and it was $ 12.50. I could not BELIEVE the crap these people are selling. It was the biggest slap to the face as a patron to order food that had NOTHINGINIT and was cooked all wrong. They are blatantly cheating people out of their money. These people could easily go to Panda Express and order the same food and get a larger portion, FRESH ingrediants cooked RIGHT. I also am highly concerned about that«funky taste» I got from some of the food. I was amazed that I did not get food poisoning… shudder… Note: I am chinese and grew up eating, cooking, chinese food everyday. Now I know SC county does not compare to SJ/SF, I am not comparing this place with those expectations as I’ve lived in SC for 10 years now. This review is measured/written in comparison to other fast food chinese places.

My wife and I stopped by for lunch the other day. We had seen the restaurant as we drove through the city of Freedom. Curious to try a different restaurant, we stopped by. There was just one car in the parking lot in the middle of lunch time(red flag) As we entered, the interior of the restaurant appeared dirty and run down. The display area where the ‘buffet — style’ was located, looked old(along with the food) The girl working there wasn’t very helpful. She appeared to have a difficult time understanding and answering questions. The food that was on display did not look appealing at all.(should have left at that moment) but I decided to have the teriyaki chicken, beef and broccoli. Which the serving was more broccoli than beef. My wife did not want the orange chicken that was obviously there for quite some time and asked the girl if she could have a fresh order made, with the orange sauce on the side. She smiled and didn’t quite understand what we had asked. So my wife asked again, and the girl just stared back at us with a blank look on her face. She called on an old asian man that was behind the counter to help her figure out a response to this very simple question. He was unable to understand her. Contagious. So I finally stepped in and asked the old asian man if we could please get a fresh order of orange chicken with the sauce of the side. I spoke slow and used hand gestures, it seemed to work. The food was HORRIBLE! And I’m being kind. Probably the worst Chinese food I’ve had in recent memory. Aside from tasting old, the seasoning was awful! The rice was as tasty as a cardboard box. My stomach began to feel upset almost immediately. The Asian guy shows up fifteen minutes later with the fresh order of orange chicken and about a gallon of orange sauce on the side. The asian man then says to my wife«I’ve been cooking here for over twenty years and no one has ever asked for a fresh order like you guys did» huh? Weird. Anyhow, The orange chicken was not so bad. It was decent. But I can’t believe that this place has been in business for that long. We were not impressed. We will not return ever again. I do not recommend it but you be your own judge.

This place is pretty good I’m not gonna lie. Me and my gf always go because simply their chow-mein is wayyyyy better than panda. It makes you feel a little more at home and not at some fake Chinese food place.

Chinese fast food! Dont have to wait, just pick your 3 items for about $ 5! Food isnt always fresh but if you want fresh you dont go get fast food right? My family & i enjoy it, plus the owners are very nice & always recognize us, sign of great service.

This place is not good, plain and simple. Went on a Monday holiday, it had a fair amount of patrons, so it was not a freshness issue. The name is a lie, there’s is nothing Cantonese about the dishes. They’re simply re-hashed dishes found at any old crappy Chinese joint, meat and veggies, egg rolls, noodles, etc. Everything was either salty/sugarly or bland. I was very disappointed. The two item combo meals were around $ 5. Eggrolls, Potsickers, Fried shrimp were about $ 4 an order.

–started going to this place since the late 1990’s –it was close to my work before so my bestfriend at the time and i would be regulars –3 item combo plate fan here for $ 4.99. i would get steamed rice, ribs, and chow mein, she would get friend rice, orange chicken and then chicken bbq. additional item is $ 1.50 –the first review is from the kid of the owner lol –the place is small but clean –chinese fast food, great idea! point at it and you’re set to go! –i have not been here a lot recently but the lady owner still recognizes me and asks what i’m up to –try the ribs, my favorite there –local so i’m very happy to support that –i tell people about it, it’s fast and affordable =THISPLACEJUSTBRINGSBACKGOODHAPPYMEMORIES

Watsonville is known for it’s Mexican food. Bottom line! Where can you get good Chinese food. Hong Kong. It’s been around for quite sometime and might be the only place around where you can find a meal for under 4 bucks! The best part is that you can taste the quality and it’s fast.
