Use to love coming here until I discovered that the bread has azodicarbonamide(the yoga mat cleaner chemical). I asked the person behind the counter what brand they used and was informed it was Piantedosi. I then went to the website of the bread company and confirmed in the ingredients list that their bread has azodicarbonamide. It’s a shame as their food taste good. I’m not sure they’re even aware of the azodicarbonamide.

best chicken fingers and chicken wings on the block. Try the hot wings, they’re dry crispy things not like the traditional buffalo wings everyone has. And they have shoestring french fries which you don’t find too often. Good fried food and roast beef. other review’s are accurate. The guy behind the counter is gruff, but nice guy once you get to know him. He’s there to run a business not be your best friend.

For such a small shop it turns out a large taste. A must try is their roast beef sandwich with cheese and BBQ sauce.

A great place that is easy to overlook. The roast beef sandwiches are great and comparable to some of my locations such as Harrison’s is N. Andover and Kelly’s in Revere. Other recommended items are the chicken parm and the fries.

This place is a hidden gem! My boyfriend and I live a few blocks from this take out restaurant and we order from them on a monthly basis. It’s not a sit down restaurant and there is not much to see as far as décor, however, the food is amazing! We highly recommend the roast beef sub and the chicken parm sub. We are both Italians, and I’ll admit, we can get picky about our Italian dishes. This place does not disappoint! The trophy goes to their onion rings for being the most delicious onion rings I have ever had. Kudos Mimi’s!

Lived down the street from Mimi’s in Watertown for almost a year before I gave this place a try, What a mistake that was! It certainly doesn’t look like much from the outside, but the food has always been great every time I place an order. They have a wide array of options to choose from, but I keep coming back for the Cheese-steak and the Roast Beef Sandwiches. Mimi’s has HUGE portions and the fries are always hot and crispy! Give this place a try. You will not be disappointed.

I’ve lived in Watertown my whole entire life. I always drove by Mimi’s but always said to myself who would go in there. WOW was I wrong, I came home craving roast beef, it was either the deli at Stop & Shop for some Boars Head. Thank God I went with option B. I’ve deprived myself for 30 years for not going here. The Beef was perfect, BBQ sauce phenomenal. My only complaint was my roll was not stale but not fresh either. I wish they had onion rolls as well. But I’ll definitely be back. A Lot!

Mimi’s Roast Beef & Seafood has become staple in Watertown for comfort food. I’m sure they have great salads and some other light or healthy options, but it’s not why you order from there. Your order there for their Chicken Finger Sub w/extra cheese and bbq sauce. You order their Chicken Finger Dinners that will fill you up for a day. They also make a mean Taco(order it without tomato). Of all the times over the years I have ordered from there, I have never tried the Roast Beef Sandwhich. I’m sure it’s good, but I never had one. Delivery can take a while especially during the dinner hours and on weekends. Take out is always reliable. I have only had a few mix ups when doing take out, but nothing to complain about. They do have a $ 2 delivery charge. Throughout half days in high school or during exams, this was the place to go for lunch with friends. A great place for takeout on any night and a place where you can never have to worry about. Check it out.

When you need a quick roast beef fix, this is the place to go. Prices can’t be beat, and sometimes the beef is real nice and juicy. It does vary a bit, but when it hits, it is out of this world. Also the Haddock sub is awesome. Can’t go wrong with the fried clams either. Too bad they are not open on Sundays or they would get even more business.

They have the best french fries EVER. As long as you like them crispy that is. I can’t say I’ve sampled everything on the menu but I’ve never been disappointed with the food I get. As others have pointed out… this is a take out/delivery place. I never set the bar very high for take out/delivery places but I would say this place exceeds my expectations on take out.

I’ve never had a bad experience with Mimi’s. The food has always been excellent, the service fast and friendly, and the menu is modestly priced. I love the roast beef sandwiches and subs. The only reason why I rate it 4 stars instead of 5 stars is because I wish that they carried a wider selection of toppings for their subs(e.g. black olives).

This place is terrible… I have worked down the street from this place for almost 6 years now and now I know why I never bothered eating here all this time… The sandwiches are(roast beef to be specific) are pretty small and not really fresh when you compare it to other places… The owner whose also the cook is a pretty moody looking guy and he got upset when I asked him if I could have some extra ketchup in my togo bag… he argued that he already put enough in the sandwich… I mean come on MALAKA(greek) why are you so cheapp?

This place is close but I have been there only twice. It took awhile before I even realized it was there. I had the roast beef both times. Very rare like the other reviews note. He asks what you want on it, but doesn’t tell you what the choices are. I didn’t know he had good barbeque sauce until I read it in another review. No horseradish for roast beef? The guy who was working both times(is it Mimi?) is not real friendly. Kind of barks at you. You’d expect a little more in a small shop like this. He doesn’t seem to want the business. I paid $ 7.80 for a RB sub and soda.

Prices are ok, but the quality of the sandwiches and platters are outstanding – you get what you pay for. The portions are over the top and the quality of the meat is always very impressive(nothing worse than biting into a cheesesteak and getting a mouthful of gristle, right?). So spend that extra single dollar and enjoy a serious quality cheesesteak, chicken finger sub, or(very) tasty fish and chips! I’ve been going there for almost a year about every other week.

Every time I’m in Waltham, I make a point to stop here and get a junior roast beef sandwich with cheese and mayo. YUM! It’s super tiny inside, but there are seats, which is nice. They make an amazing roast beef sandwich. Amazing. Their cheeseburgers and fries are yummy too, but once I was introduced to the junior roast beef sandwiches, there was no turning back. Just thinking about Mimi’s makes me crave it. Mmmm…

I used to eat here two sometimes three times every week when I worked/lived in Watertown. This is pretty much strictly a take out/delivery place. He has three lunch counter stools, but nobody ever eats inside(it’s very small). The menu is pretty standard as far as subs/dinners go. He makes a good steak and cheese. His onion rings are good solid rings not«strings»; the fries are like McDonald’s fries. What makes Mimi stand out are the following items: 1) Salads. Nothing spectacular about the veggies themselves(fresh every day, but be warned the tomatoes are not always great), but add a GIANT scoop of tuna to one and now you have a salad and a sandwich(he gives you a pita) for 5 bucks(and the salad isn’t a puny little side salad). For a little more $, you can get really good grilled chicken or steak. The Greek Salad is excellent(tons of feta), and so is his house greek dressing 2) Roast Beef Sandwiches. This is Mimi’s signature special. Again, fresh cooked every day by the man himself, very delicious. It’s pretty rare though so if that’s not your bag you might want to try something else. If you do get it GETTHESAUCE! He makes the best barbecue sauce I’ve ever had, with just the right amount of spice to it. 3) Haddock dinner. Essentially fish and chips(though I believe he throws in a few onion rings, I can’t recall), unlike so many other places of this ilk, Mimi takes a fresh piece of fish, breads it and puts it in the fryer. This is made to order. It’s consistently excellent. 4) Mimi himself. He’s a really, really nice guy and takes much pride in his business.
