My son was a student at Boston College and went in for a haircut a week before graduation. He gave them a shot because they were open on a Sunday and went in with the idea of just asking for his hair to be «cleaned up» for the big day. My son had the female barber– she was really nice, took her sweet time, and gave him a beautiful haircut. There was a lot of detail to the cut and well worth the $ 30. The shop is low end, but the cut is very high end. It’s been 3 weeks since then and the cut still looks great. We wish we found them sooner– it’s just a few miles from the school.

I walked into this barbershop after reading the reviews. First, the place reeked of weed. It was dirty and the cutting tools looked like they could use a cleaning. Glenn is a very nice man, but answered his phone twice while cutting my hair. Also, he has VERY shaky hands. I feel bad because given his age he probably has a neurological condition, but would you want someone coming at your head with a scissor who was shaking everywhere? He spent about 15 – 20 minutes on my hair like anywhere else does, but unlike other places he charges $ 30 (hair cuttery next door charges $ 17 and it’s a very clean facility) cash only. To summarize; shaky hands, answers phone, gives an average cut at an above average price. The only reason he has any stars is because he really is a nice guy. I highly recommend going elsewhere

Michelle is a genius! So dope to have a female barber in my neighborhood. I love that this place is a family owned biz. Glenn is such a nice guy and his family is really nice and welcoming. Bonus points for being LGBT friendly. I’ve definitely gotten haircuts at «trendier» places in the city but this place is so much better, hands down. Won’t go anywhere else.

I recently moved to the area and sought the advice of Unilocal to steer me to a barber that would suffice. Not only did his work suffice, but after Glenn was done with his artistry I was left with nothing less than the best cut I can remember. I’ll definitely be a recurring customer, and if you’re looking for a new spot, I’d highly suggest giving Glenn’s a try.

GO HERE!!! Any man needing a haircut needs to be going to Glenn. I finally stopped in today after walkin by 100 times. Definitely a bit expensive for me, but totally worth every penny!
This guy is the REAL DEAL– Old school barber. I havent found anyone to give me a cut this good in years. Perfectly even, took his time to catch every spot just perfect.
Seriiusly– Newbury St ‘stylists’ cannot compare to this serious Man’s Barber.

This place is nice. The atmosphere is great and when you go there you can just hang out and talk while you are waiting and its feels like no big deal. They do a good job cutting hair and will always go back and fix something you are not satisfied with.
