Service was poor but the Reuben platter was great! Food came out almost too quick, didn’t get to touch our salads before we had entrees(and the check) on the table. Probably won’t make the drive out to this Cracker Barrell again though.

Pretty bad service, I went for breakfast, got my food before I got my coffee, and then was ignored. I had to ask a busboy for a glass of milk. The food was meh, I got pancakes and they were smothered in the fruit topping and whip cream to the point that it was falling off the plate. A subpar experience even for a chain restaurant, Will not be going back to this establishment

I’ve grown up with Cracker Barrel… It’s as close as I’ll get to a nice Southern meal in this empty little town. It was great to see the food finally hit puberty seeing as I found a hair growing in my fried apples. I lifted an apple slice up like a marionette string on a puppet with my fork a few times to make sure I wasn’t seeing things. To my delight, it was indeed a nice long hair embedded in my fried apples. Lightning didn’t only strike once but I was genuinely impressed when I unknowingly found a second(short ._.) hair crinkled up UNDER my sweet potato that I’d already consumed despite being a trooper and not losing my appetite with the first hair. I had an experience I’ll never forget. Thanks, Cracker Barrel.

I love chicken fried steak. I love the Mac n cheese, potatoes, gravy. The coffee. The consistency is what I like, I love cracker barrel. Please come to Toronto.

I gave it five stars, not because the food is 5 star material per say, but the service is always wonderful. I love the gift shop and their constantly changing selection. It’s a great place to find something unique in this area. It’s very fresh and inviting and a change to the usual restaurants u find in watertown. Even though it is a chain restaurant, it’s still the best one out of the rest offered here.

Cracker Barrel is Cracker Barrel. They’re all the same, reliable comfort food. BUT… there are way too many FRIED items on the menu and their choices haven’t changed in years. At this location they didn’t seem to budge on the menu items, preparing them only as stated on menu. BUT, when you walk into the store — you already know what you’re there for, so there are no surprises. I do like the assortment of vintage style candies in the general store part of the business — and they always have interesting giftable items for travelers.

Went to cracker barrell for dinner after not having been there for 10 years. I had the chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes and gravy, fried, apples, mac n cheese, and coleslaw. We got our muffins and biscuits during the meal. I feel like you should get them while you wait. They were ok, biscuits a little overcooked. When my food came out I was told they had no more coleslaw so I got steak fries instead. The chicken fried steak was really good, the mashed potatoes and gravy were really good and the fried apples were really good. The mac n cheese looked and tasted as if it came out of a box and the steak fries were limp and soggy. There is a store connected where they sell a bunch of odd stuff and candy. It’s pretty cool to look thru and I got like 10 candy cane sticks for $ 1.

Visited this location again recently and had a terrible time. There were four of us at the table and we each got our meals at very different times. My friend who only ordered a salad got her meal last and after a few bites found a long kinky hair in her food. Needless to say we all lost our appetites, but our server only claimed that it was impossible for the hair to be there and then brought her out another salad… she wouldn’t take it off their bill. In my book finding a hair or bug in your food means you should not have to pay, but maybe I’m old fashioned.

Loved the healthy food options with the turkey sausage and egg beaters. Thanks for having these options.

Although the service was good, the food sure wasn’t.

Food is ok. Service was decent. Find it annoying that I have to right through shoppers in their store area in the front to go pay my bill before I leave.

I think my opinion of Cracker Barrel is slightly jaded. Since I live in SoCal, I’m not used to this«country» style of food. All I know is that whenever I get a chance to travel somewhere and have the Cracker Barrel, I get a little excited. I mean, seriously. They have hush puppies and tons of gravy. Where else can someone who poses as fit and health conscious go off on biscuits and the like? I’m not going to break down my meal. It’s country food so think biscuits and gravy, a lot of deep fried stuff, and pretty big portions. Since I am picky about my mac n cheese, I steer clear of the mac n cheese here. Really. It tastes like blue box stuff. And I have to be honest, the vegetables are probably overcooked so all nutritional value is more than likely gone. But, I don’t go to Cracker Barrel for nutritional value. If you’re a local, this probably isn’t the greatest place. But, if you’re a tourist, stop in and at least check it out. Just go ahead and be fat for the day. The old guy on the sign won’t tell anyone.

If you like frozen fish patties and instant potato flakes in a loud enviroment than this restaurant is for you. My fish was tasteless, bland and frankly tasted like it came out of a cardboard box. The mashed potatoes were instant and the vegetables were overcooked and out of a can. Where I grew up that isn’t what we called country cooking! The best part of the dining was looking at the interesting antiques and our server was polite and helpful. Though, I sure wouldn’t go back for the food.

I’d really only give 3.5 stars if I knew how. But, I don’t know what it is with cracker barrel and my family but I seem to always get the crotchety old waitress no matter where the location. The food is always great, but our dining atmosphere always seems to be unwelcome. I love the cleanliness and good old country food(I am a southerner) but just never get that real welcome feeling. Overall the food is the most important and you can’t argue they serve great food. **Updated: ate there the other day and finally had a server that was friendly and she checked on us frequently. Food was great as usual.**

My husband and I decided to go out for breakfast this past Sunday morning and wound up at Cracker Barrel. We were«greeted» by a lack luster hostess who reminded me of a zombie going through the motions. Ugh. Anyway, we were seated and our server came over to our table and took our drink order. We ordered coffee and water and gave her our breakfast selections. My husband wanted to modify his order because he doesn’t eat eggs. Well, I think this completely confused our waitress. She gave an excuse along the lines of «I don’t normally work breakfast». What?! You can get breakfast at any time at Cracker Barrel! She walked away to the kitchen and NEVER came back. We wound up leaving. I thouoght about talking to a manager, but I just wanted to leave. I am so put off at the bad service we received there, I don’t think I will go back. At least not to the Watertown location.

Reliable. It’s a chain, so you know what to expect, but compared to some of the locations that are on more traveled roads, this one is bit more boring. The staff is nice and the place is never packed, so it’s a good place to go when you just want to be seated right away. I’ve been to about 4 or 5 other Cracker Barrels and the food here wasn’t quite as good as I was used to, but nothing awful. If you’ve never gone to a Cracker Barrel before, you’ll end up wandering through the toy section smirking :)

Went here with friends while visiting over the holidays. The parking lot was packed, so I assumed we’d be there forever, but the couple we met up with had already been seated! Our personal waitress was totally clueless and literally walked away while we were asking for things, but another waitress(Chelsea) picked up her slack, which was great. The line waiting to pay the cashier, however, took a long time since you’re in line with people buying stuff from the store. For a crowded Christmas Eve morning, the service was decent and the food, as always, was amazing.

I was really happy to see a cracker barrel in such a small town, we loved it, the food was good the service was good, and the little store was awesome, I love the fact they serve real maple syrup

Where to begin. I had been to a cracker barrel somewhere in the midwest on a roadtrip once, and remember it being pretty good. Now maybe that was due to the fact that my tastebuds were not nearly as developed then, or maybe the place has just gone downhill. Who knows. I was visiting family in upstate NY and we got around to several restaurants while I was there. I was excited to go to Cracker Barrel since I had good experience before and I knew they had an awesome Old Country Store attached to it. So we arrive for breakfast and the place is packed! Normally a good sign. The menu looked good, everything seemed like it came in HUGE portions, so my sister decided to split the Sunrise Sampler which comes with:(taken from their website) Two Eggs* cooked to order with Grits, Sawmill Gravy, Homemade Buttermilk Biscuits, real Butter and the best Preserves, Jam n’ Apple Butter(on request) we could find. ~plus~ Fried Apples and Hashbrown Casserole ~and~ Sampling of Smoked Sausage, Country Ham and Thick Sliced Bacon So I think to any normal person that sounds like a LOT of food, which is why we split it. However when it all came out we looked at each other like«This is it?» The portions were tiny! None of us could believe it. On top of that the food wasn’t very good, I think I’d take a breakfast at Denny’s any day of the week over this place(And I’m NOT a fan of Denny’s). They have a peg game at the table for you to play while you wait, which is fun. for a few minutes… and they did have a pretty delicious apple cider slush also our female food server was wayyy overly friendly, she kept putting her hand on my shoulder EVERYTIME she came to our table. my family was convinced she was hitting on me, I guess that’s just how they do it up there =) Now the only reason I gave them 2 stars was because of the Old Country Store. It’s just the cutest! They have all kinds of things ranging from old school candy to Christmas & Halloween decorations and Burt’s Bees products too! So needless to say the only reason I would ever visit a cracker barrel again would be for the store.
