Been going to Cici’s in Watertown ever since they opened. But, this morning, I just read the latest report from the Watertown Dept of Health and trust me when I say I’LLNEVEREATTHEREAGAIN! EVER!!! If you read too, I think you’ll feel the same. It’s a real shame! I had no idea the place was so filthy and mismanaged…

Unfortunately, for my son, the Cicero, NY location has closed, making this restaurant more of a rare treat for him, than a place to go after a haircut. So we walk in the door, and the woman behind the register looked a little too complacent to be a hostess. Yet still, we paid for our meal, and got our drinking glasses. At which point, we started walking to our seats. No sooner, did I notice the hostess picking food from the salad bar with her bare fingers, and then go to get gloves; a move that I could have ignored, had my son not asked to go to the restroom. That’s where I really questioned our judgement to go to CiCi’s. My son and walked toward the men’s room, and noticed the large greasy stain on the door, warning us of the potential that inside had for us. It happened to be one of those bathrooms where you hope you don’t have to sit. So my son didn’t. When we approached the sink, to wash his hands, the dirt layered on the back of the basin was both, an indicator that it had not been cleaned, with the customers in mind, but also a clear message to me, that my son’s hands were already cleaner than they would get by touching anything in that room. I walked to the front counter, and spoke to a woman, that appeared to be, at least, a shift manager, judging by the red shirt. I explained the dismal situation in the bathroom to her and the hostess. They both seemed to acknowledge my claim by a simple response. And having gone back to my seat, I noticed that for the next 20 to 30 minutes we were there, they did not much more than stand there talking, and not one single employee approached the restroom. BIGREDFLAGS, when a food establishment shows little or no concern for cleanliness. Will I return? It’s extremely questionable.

I’ve seen commercials for Cici’s Pizza for years and have wondered why they would torture me with commercials of an endless pizza, salad, and pasta buffet only to not have any locations in SoCal. I mean it’s just wrong. But to my surprise there’s a Cici’s Pizza in Watertown, NY and when my sister suggested it she quickly became my favorite sister(sorry, Dru). We went in and ordered the buffet and it was like $ 6. OMG! I walked over to the salad bar to put together a little salad and that’s exactly what was there. Stuff to make a little salad. After I put things into perspective and realized it was a buffet and they weren’t gonna have a slew of salad amazingness, I grabbed some lettuce and some olives and dressing and worked with that. After I pretended to care about what I was shoveling in my mouth after a long day of wine and distillery tasting, I went for the pizza. I grabbed a couple slices of plain cheese and a couple slices of veggie. Yes, I realized I said«a couple» 4 times. Don’t judge. The pizza was good. It wasn’t standout. But then, but then my sister ordered some straight off the menu stuff and she cemented her place as my favorite sister. A spinach artichoke pizza and a BBQ chicken pizza. I didn’t try the BBQ chicken pizza because, ehh, it’s BBQ chicken pizza. But the spinach artichoke pizza was something special. It basically tasted like spinach dip on crust. Bust out the stretchy pants and bring me more of this! I finished all this deliciousness with 32 breadsticks and marinara sauce. Yep, pretty much ate myself into a stupor. If Cici’s were near me I probably would never go, unless I had a bunch of hungry kids. But when I’m in Watertown, I’m allll about Cici’s.

A week ago I went to Cici’s for the first time with friends. I think it was around $ 7 per person. The salad bar was ok, mainly iceburg lettuce and a few toppings, but then pizza is their thing. The pizza was very good, yummy, perfectly cooked crust and a nice variety to choose from, including some tasty meatless ones. There was even a desert pizza. Drinks were ok, I had iced tea. There is a cool game room at the back for the children and young at heart. It was very good for the price. I just found some coupons, too, buy one get one free, so I will be back. ;-)

Had a decent experience. Good food for what you spend. And the cinnamon rolls are wonderful!

Great value for what you get. I love love love the cinnamon buns and could easily make a meal out of them! At this location the staff was really nice and often asked everyone if they were looking for something specific. I thought it was great they were so on top of things.

Ok, let me say it — We love Cici’s Pizza. No this isn’t gourmet pizza made by the little Italiano Family down the road but it is far from bad pizza. Right now it’s about $ 5 for all you can eat and drink. Most places charge $ 1.99 alone for a soda with free refills. Of course this review will become dated over time now. For your $ 5+ you get Soup, Salad, bread-sticks, pasta(marinara and Alfredo sauce, multiple choices of pizza and they’ll make you any kind that is missing, desert pizza, brownies and cinnamon buns.(You can add wings for an up charge.) The staff has been downright friendly and treated us like family. The owner should come watch his staff in disguise and reward them all. Now you have to understand when you come to a place that charges so little for what it offers that the clientele will vary by day and time. This isn’t the restaurant or staff’s fault and might actually be a commentary on the times in which we live but I digress. I mean with the food and the deal, I’m surprised when we go in that it isn’t as busy as the one reviewer says but our experience has been good. The food is not gourmet but it is good fast food. We always find something we like and leave full. I can’t think of very many places that offer this much selection for $ 5. If you don’t like what pizza is up there, just ask and they’ll make you one to order. How in the world could you complain about selection when you can do that and for the price?

Ick. I’ve been to Cici’s before, but not for years. When a new one opened up in Watertown, I thought it was time to renew my acquaintance. Admittedly, it’s a great value. $ 5.79 for all you can eat pizza. But I felt as if we had arrived at the feeding trough. The line of people at the buffet was long and slow. The selection was meager. There were perhaps three or four pizzas to choose from(unlike the 10 – 12 pizzas the ads display). There was pasta but only two sauces. There was a salad bar that consisted mostly of iceberg lettuce. The pizzas, breadsticks, and desserts were ridiculously undercooked… I found the whole experience rather disgusting.

Love the owners of this CiCi’s location and the people are really great. How can you beat a pizza buffet? Lots of pizza choices and the restaurant is really easy to get to.
