I like old school pizza places, and this one is old school. I am not a huge fan of their pizzas. there are definitely better pizzas to be had that are very close by if you are looking for that. However, their grinders are fantastic. inexpensive, long and fresh. They must make the bread there for the sandwiches, and they skimp on nothing. Also, their pasta dishes are worth a stop in. I have had the ziti and meatballs with red sauce(delicious) and I have had the cavatelli, broccoli and sausage. The Cavatelli dish is one of the best examples of this dish I have ever had anywhere. Home, out, at a friend’s house, grandma’s place(don’t tell her I said it) you can’t make it better. Just the right mix of starch and spice and meat and broccoli and olive oil. Prices are great, the service was good, and the smells of an old-school pizza joint can’t be beat. Stop in and try it, I promise you won’t be disappointed.

A great pizza place. Probably the best around. They deliver and have a nice seating area inside. Parking was a bit tough, but manageable. Pizza was very thick and for 14 bucks, you can get an extra large and take home the rest. My girl ordered a gluten free pizza and said it was the best gf pizza she ever had. They also do grinders and pasta(as well as gf pasta), but the pizza is so good, I get it every time. Staff was very friendly. They had little Easter decorations at the tables to keep things fresh and promote a family environment. If you live in the area, or are looking for a good thick crust pizza stop on by John’s.

I would say the pizza is more of a Greek style… thick crust, cheesy, and sweeter sauce. Being a pizza snob, unfortunately I can’t say that I was a fan of the pizza at this place. I thought the sauce was a little too sweet. As for the service, it was good. And I like that they sell fried dough!
