We had a great experience here. Vern(younger employee who works in hardware at night) was especially helpful, but each employee was friendly. They made key copies, suggested tools, knew exactly where items were, etc. We were there for an hour before closing; they didn’t rush us.

We used to shop Home Depot for all our home projects and repair needs. From gardening, sprinkler system and fencing to paint supplies and tools. Our lot sits lower than the street. Which means we have to use a sump pump to pump our sewer to the street. Well, it went out. So we of course went to Home Depot to buy it. The guy in plumbing showed me the one I needed. He suggested we buy the extended warranty on it. So we did. The warranty on it was 1 year. Less than a year later the pump went out. We called the manufacturer and the said we would have to ship it to them and they would either fix it or replace it if they couldn’t fix it. I explained our situation and let them know we need it now. They suggested taking it back to the store because they could get credit from the manufacturer. Since I live in Hurricane, I called first. I spoke with the manager, Lisa. I told her my situation and she said because it was past 90 days, they couldn’t do anything at the store level. That I would have to go through the manufacturer. I told her what they said and she still told me I have to do it through them. I ended up calling Lowe’s to see if maybe they could help. I explained the whole situation to their manager. And he was awesome! He told me since they carry that same brand, to bring it in and her would switch it out for me! That he would have no problem getting credit from the manufacturer! He said as long as I do all my future shopping with Lowe’s! Because Home Depot left me out to dry when it mattered most, I no longer shop there and I don’t recommend them to anyone!!! I wish there was an option to give zero stars because that us what this Home Depot deserves!

We have had a very disappointing experience. We had our washer and dryer installed today and the installer’s who you hired hooked the drainage hose into the wrong area, instead of one that was clearly piped. This caused flooding literally into our walls. My brand new carpets in my bedroom, hallway and front room are soaked, the baseboards, the bathroom cabinets. Not to mention I had to leave work for a few hours today. The best answer we could get from the installers was«well we put it where we thought it went and didn’t look at the other area». If your not going to do something right, don’t do it at all. Tatiana from Home Depot has told us that someone will call us with in 48 business hours. DOYOUNOTUNDERSTANDHOWMUCHDAMAGETHATCANDOTO A HOUSE??? We had to call our insurance company and have them start fixing everything… So now we are stuck in our brand new home that we have literally lived in for 24 hours with loud fans that I won’t be able to sleep through blaring in my ears! I am very disappointed and upset. I don’t spend nearly $ 1400.00 at a store to have my new home ruined and my work and sleep disrupted. Our insurance adjuster told us he has had a few similar claims this year from a subcontractor that Home Depot uses and thinks its probably the same company. We are so inconvenienced and upset! This has caused extreme anxiety for me! We barely got an apology.

Be careful when you order from this store. They promised our washer and never fulfilled their promise. The washer they got in was apparently damaged and they didnt get another washer in for us. We even went in and complained and nothing was done. 3 weeks without a good washer. Are they going to do anything about it? Who knows? I called in and they said«well you should have ordered it in April and you would have got it.» Was our issue in April? No! They did nothing for us. They made an excuse and said its our fault for not ordering earlier. Our mistake as the buyer? No, they are a store they make a promise they should fulfill it. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. Heck you could get a washer on Amazon cheaper and faster.

Everyone makes mistakes right? No worries because it’s how you handle the problem that matters. Washington UT HOme Depot FAILED big time. Mistake? They installed the wrong wood floors. Easy mistake – there are two products with the same name– she simply entered the wrong code on the store computer when processing our quote. Their remedy? The local manager denied that it was their mistake. The employee remembered what we had wanted(it was the only sample we took) and admitted to us she made the mistake). The following day, the store manager and flooring manager then blackballed us from speaking to her or the installer– saying she was«sick» or the installer was«at a funeral»(which we later learned was a lie of course.) They are trying to charge us more money now to get the right floor. Unbelievable! Meanwhile, we incurred expenses of living in a motel and holding off our furniture delivery etc etc. It got worse– While meeting with Washington UT store management, the flooring manager bullied me! I had said«Home Depot WILL honor their price and make this right.».(they do in California atleast) His response, as he stood over me… He leaned forward and said«NOBODY tells ME what I will or won’t do!» squinting his eye at me even. I excused myself with my heart squeezing from his bullying and threatening posture. When I passed by him on my way out he said«THANKs” —(for leaving.) My husband was in a horrible position to stay back and deal with them, and worrying about me. DISGUSTING customer service from a national chain! I’ll never go back to that store again. The wonderful Santa Clara store seems to be making up for it as they are so so helpful and opposite in their attitude. Other women have since told me they get that kind of bullying in the Washington UT store too. We are now taking this up to corporate level as the store manager is not even responsive to our emails. BTW– the mistake was made in 2 houses– and we can’t disturb our tenant to get the right floor installed– so we are screwed on that one no matter what — NOSTARS for Washington UTAHHOMEDEPOT. I think the management there should be fired for how they are handling a simple mistake that we would have forgiven them for– if they’d made right by us.
