Walgreens

Pharmacies are pretty straight forward. You go in you provide your prescription and insurance information and you provided your medication shortly afterwards.
That doesn’t seem to be the case for this cozy Walgreens tucked away in Howard University Hospital. I provided the required insurance and prescriptions and a seemed well. After waiting twenty minutes of waiting I decide to buy drinks. Only once I checked in to make another purchase did they inform me that there is an issue with the insurance information. When I asked them if they had started filling the prescription they informed me that they couldn’t until the insurance information was clear. This would be fine but no one bothered to inform me that there was an issue, although I’ve been sitting here for twenty minutes. When I asked them about it the pharmacist gave me a lot of attitude and made it seem as if they were doing me a favor by filling the prescription in the first place. It was so strange and out of character for a pharmacy. I then had to wait another thirty minutes to have my order filled when it should have been completed in twenty.
Overall this place is clean tidy and well maintained. However, the attitude of the pharmacist and staff makes it seem reasonable to drive further away for better service.
