This is an AWSOME business! They are very personable but not only that they go out of their way to help in any form necessary.
My daughter has a broken coccyx and couldn’t move without having excruciating pain. They have delivered on the same day for an extra charge and also went out of their way to find her a heating pad, since that is one of the items they don’t carry.
I am in another country and there was nobody nearby that could help.
Urban Grocery called me to notify me of status of order and helped better than if there was family around. THEY ARE GREAT!!!

This place was heaven sent! I HATE walking to the the bus stop with all of my reusable grocery bags, getting on the bus, doing my grocery shopping, waiting for the bus while my arms nearly fall off from the weight of my recently acquired groceries, etc. I was fed up and decided to give this place a try. I didn’t regret it. Richard was very patient in walking me through my first order. For anyone hesitant about trying a grocery delivery service should be comforted in knowing that this places is very affordable. You only have to place a minimum order of $ 50.00 (which is what I would normally spend) and then pay a $ 9.00 delivery charge. In my book, $ 9.00 is worth not having to deal with crazies on the bus to and from the grocery store.

Quality grocery shopping delivered to your door! Having just moved to DC with my family, including my 5 week old son, grocery shopping seemed like such a daunting task. Then I found Urban Grocery. The website is simple and easy to navigate, and the customer service is great! I love that it’s family run! Richard called me to let me know that they got my order, and even asked before substituting items. I’ve never been totally sold on online shopping, as I’m very picky about my meats and produce. I am now, though. I now have a fully stocked kitchen, without all the hassle. Thank you, Urban Grocery!

I am very pleased with Urban Grocery’s service. They were nice and personable when I called with questions prior to submitting my order. They even gave me a discount because it was my first time ordering. My groceries arrived on time (which was impressive because it had snowed the day before!) and they were very pleasant to deal with.
In addition to the above reasons, I am switching to this grocery delivery service after using Peapod for so long because the quality of produce is so much better and they have far more organic options.
