This is a great store! The owner is very very nice and helpful. I needed something for my wife and she helped me pick something out. There were some greatly designed clothes and accessories from what I assume were high end brands but the prices were in my range. It was a very pleasant shopping experience and my wife loved her gift! We will go back when we visit again.

Upstairs at 7th is truly one of the lovliest boutiques in all of DC! The owner, Ricki is so kind & inviting…& encouraging too steer you into trying items & once you do… you’re sold! Her taste is extraordinary!

The clothes are lovely, no doubt. But they are priced higher than other stores in DC which carry the same inventory. If the owner had offered to match the other price, it would have been gracious, and created a relationship for further shopping. But we were ignored. It’s really too bad, we wanted to purchase outfits but the combination of being overcharged and not treated nicely left us no option but to leave.

Fantastic clothing for the fashionable 35+ year old woman and great purses, jewelry and scarves for women of any age.
If you watch Bill Cunningham’s ‘On the Street’ or follow Ari Seth Cohen’s blog ‘Advanced Style’ you’ve seen some of these designs before.
Prices are very reasonable ($ 55 purse, $ 40 bracelet, $ 155 dress).

Upstairs on 7th is one of DC biggest hidden secrets. When you think of DC you don’t necessarily think of avant-​garde fashion but U7 has an amazing array of really funky, quirky, and unique clothing. The store also has amazing accessories and jewels that will let you stand in any crowd. You must visit! :)

U7 is wonderful! I’m just sorry haven’t visited for a while. I’ve purchased a few outfits from U7. They are comfortable, sophisticated, and don’t make me look like a woman in her fifties trying to be young. The owner is interactive. She actually has a personality which is something you don’t find in a lot of DC metro area merchants. Shopping here has always been a pleasant experience for me.

This place was amazing! I stumbled upon it quite by accident, but what a unique collection of things.
To be honest, I’ve never heard of most brands the store carries. But, then again, brands pop up so quickly now that it’s a full time job to keep abreast of the newest and hottest designers! The important thing to me is that the clothes look and feel great, and that the quality is there. Check, check and check.

A hidden gem is what I would call this store! I coordinated an event here last night and everyone loved it! The owner, Ricki Peltzman, is just the sweetest woman. The clothes are definitely something you wouldn’t find in any other boutique in Washington, D.C. — and there are pieces for everyone, even stunning jewlery for as low as $ 30! Aside from the clothes — the venue was perfect and very conducive to hosting an event. The store is located inside the Thurman Arnold Building — very nice space. I plan to purchase a bag from U7 for my mother as a Christmas gift — the handbags are HAWT… Ricki even carries the Big Buddha line!!!
