Hotel staff was great. Our waitress was rude. We overheard her complaining about our requests for ketchup and a few other things. Very unprofessional.

At $ 24, this wasn’t a bad brunch buffet option. I’ve lived in DC for 2 years now and there doesn’t seem to be many places that offer brunch buffets. First, the restaurant is on the bottom floor of the Hyatt hotel. The ambiance is pretty nice. I went on a Sunday at around 1. They close up around 2 but the omelette station ended at 1:30. There weren’t that many people so there was no wait and the service wasn’t too bad. But I can see how it may lag if there were a lot more guests. They didn’t seem to have too many servers. Omelette: If you’re going to order the omelette, be mindful of the fact that they may give you a lot of cheese. The lady just smothered it. Not sure if there are a lot of Midwestern tourists that roll through but it was just too much for me. They also have your traditional sausage, scrambled eggs, and bacon. However there wasn’t too much variety. They had grits and small pancakes and bagels but anything with bread seemed a bit dry. Having fruit and different juices was not bad though. Overall I’d come back only if they changed the variety of their menu or lowered the price or was starving and wanted a a brunch buffet and I didn’t want to go to Farmers Fishers Bakers.

Fabulous!!! We went to the Grand Café for Easter Brunch. There was an excellent selection, and everything was hot and fresh! The omelet station gave us a delicious ham and turkey omelet! Service was superb — I highly recommend Trinh: she was attentive but not intrusive — always had a smile on her face and a kind word — just what was needed for a great Easter Brunch get together with friends. Can’t give enough kudos!

Delicious and the best service! Everyone is happy to help, they have a full buffet and a fantastic omelet station. I can’t say enough good things about this place. Well worth it and ask for Trinh for your server, she’s the best!

Very good brunch with great staff and selection! Great omelets! I’ll give it a 4 because of limited gluten-free vegetarian options for my wife. But otherwise enjoyed this greatly!

Enjoyed their all you can eat brunch café. I also enjoyed having a quiet brunch in the city with reasonably priced good food, good service minus a long weight. I loved their homemade granola, my server let me take some to go. I also loved the maple pecan danish! Mmmm mmmm good!

The made to order omelet bar, the fresh fruits, the pastries, really make this place shine. The staff is professional and courteous and very helpful. Even the best breakfast buffets can get tiresome, but the Grand Café has the little touches — like the awesome home-made granola — that really make it fantastic. Highly recommended.

I have a love/hate relationship with breakfast buffets and I always beat myself up after getting up for my third plate or so. As with most buffets they have your egg, cereal, fruits, and meats sections. Nothing too special but the great thing about this place is merely the convenience. If you stay at the Hyatt, then come on down get your breakfast and start your day off right. I’m sure you’ll burn off most of the calories walking around the National mall.

The Grand Café, located at the Grand Hyatt Washington Hotel, offers the best breakfast buffet value I have seen in years. We stayed at the hotel, and had breakfast there on Saturday and Sunday. The buffet-style breakfast offers a wide variety of food, including an omelette station where you can have them do your favorite styled eggs, as well as the traditional American-style breakfast(cereal, eggs, potatoes, sausages, pancakes/French toast, fruits, et cetera). The service was excellent. The location is great(just a few blocks away from the White House and other landmarks). The ambience is soothing as there is a pool of water around the area of the restaurant. At $ 20 per person, this is probably the best value in town. Go, give it a try! I wish I were there now for another«power breakfast!».

The Grand Café is the breakfast joint in the Grand Hyatt Washington Hotel. They offer a breakfast buffet — which IMHO is very overpriced. $ 20.00 for the buffet. The bacon was very good — thick meaty pieces of bacon, the scrambled eggs were just okay, the turkey hash and breakfast potatoes were just blah. They also do lunch and brunch here. I’d find other places to eat for breakfast — either a muffin at Starbucks or something else.
