Starbucks

Great Starbucks! Lots of tourists since it’s so close to the White House… which meant a lot of confused people milling about in the coffee shop. The baristas were great, efficient, and quick. My tall iced mocha was perfect and tasted so good. Exactly what I needed on a hot, humid day. The Starbucks has a smallish seating area, full of tourists and business people working remote on their laptops.

This Starbucks is just the worst. They are always out of basics, like whipped cream, and they do not make drinks correctly. Do yourself a favor and walk one block up to the Starbucks on NY Ave and 14^th street.

This to Starbucks and there customer service where there is non, when in store or over the phone. It’s unbelievable when you call company that you have there app and your money is desapering, and they say it’s not our bussnise, and when in store you order your coffee you are waiting but first you have to wait for them to finish there conversation, enough said, I guess that what happen when there is only one coffee company around,

I visited this Starbucks several times.
This my first formal review. Good customer service. My orders serviced correct & timely. Just like today grande latte whole milk, raw sugar & whipped cream.

The place is clean but the music is too loud. I didn’t like the music either since they played country music. Not my type of café music. I ordered a hazeulnut latte. My cashier was nice and friendly. The barista went ahead to make the ones after me which i didn’t know why so I though she forgot my drink but she didn’t. My drink was cooler than the usual lattes I’ve by had before. Honestly, I went here to sit down asap to finish some work.

I’m not sure on how this location received two stars… The baristas don’t know how to make any drinks. I asked for an iced espresso con panna and the barista said they do not make those at that location because he didn’t want to put the ice in the drink.

So I ordered a shakened tall sweetened green tea lemonade. And that was made without the classic or lemonade.
I love Starbucks, but this is by far the worst Starbucks I have ever been too. I will probably never come back to this location. Places that «proudly brew» Starbucks make better drinks than this location.
Please save your time and money from this location.

The store was out of multiple hot food items today, but they still had them all on display.
…If you’re out of the item, then pull it off of the display.
This kind of staff laziness creates a cruddy customer experience.

I ordered 5 frappuccinos, the whipped cream on top of them was horrible.
Even when I asked they were like you ordered what you got.
Java chip comes with this it is the caramel you are talking about.

Very unfriendly and disgustingly unclean Starbucks. The worst Starbucks experience ever.

This is the worst Starbucks that I ever visited. The entire staff was «hanging out» instead of working, despite there being customers. It was not clean and things were not organized. There was a long line and the staff continued to talk to each other as if no one was there… even doing stuff on their phone! No greetings or genuine remarks towards their customers. Stay away from this Starbucks.

I actually consider myself a «regular» here.
I’m always in a happy mood when I enter. When I leave, I’m mildly disturbed.
Today, was no exception. Again, my experience depends on who’s at the register. Some days, it’s like I’m interrupting them from personal conversations. Other days, it’s like they would rather be somewhere else.
It’s a cold day. Snow is all over the streets. My husband drops me off at the corner so I can go in, grab our coffees and dash back out so he can drive me one block to my office.
I’m third in line, she speaks to everyone in front of me. It’s my turn. She’s just looking at me dead in the eyes.
I say «hi»
She’s just looking.
I say «hi» again.
Still she’s looking.
I just stand there.
She says «I said hi, dang»
lol
Really not funny, cuz now I’ve created a line FORCING this chick to speak to me BEFORE I spend my $money$.
I place my order, being kind and saying thank you. She’s annoyed, I can tell. I really don’t care.
There are a few more coffee shops in the area. I don’t have to come here.
Just so I can have a better experience, I ‘m going to stop doing things out of convenience.

Wow, what horrible customer service at this Starbucks. I walked in around 630PM, the café was quiet fairly quiet and no one was in line for coffee. Upon walking in and standing at the cash registers, I didn’t get a welcome or even an acknowledgement I was there waiting. The server behind the counter ignored me for a good 3 minutes. Adding to my frustration was the other employee was just standing there flirting with what looked to be his girlfriend and didn’t even try to show any effort in taking my order. Extremely frustrating.

Ugh the line! And they always mess up my order…
But funny staff.

The Starbucks usually has a fair share of chaos is is not the cleanest in DC, but I have to say that their baristas know how to make the best drinks. The best caramel macchiato, caramel brulee latte, and gingerbread latte that I’ve ever drank have come from this store. For some reason, the drinks that I get at other DC stores just don’t compare. Now, if there wasn’t as much arguing behind the bar, this would be the perfect store!

Huge, huge line. Fast service though… was pleasantly surprised. Also had some good outdoor seating.

What do you do when you’re playing the tourist in DC and it’s so hot that you’re melting (to quote Mrs Doubtfire) «like a snowcone in Phoenix»? You make a pit stop at this Starbucks.
They had the AC blasting on full, making the room not only blissfully cold but refreshingly well-​circulated. The employees were all efficient and friendly and the whole space was very clean and well-​kept.
It helps that it’s a couple blocks from the White House — people don’t seem overwhelmingly aware of it, making it easy to snag a table and linger for a while as you recover.

Nice Starbucks in an old and venerable former bank lobby. I can see how some folks would be put off by the noise as the acoustics are those of an old bank building.
Still, I was pleased by the breakfast, the service and the employees. No problems. For a Starbucks, it’s a nice place.

I had to double check to make sure I was at the same location as the one referred to in the other reviews. I’ve always found the staff here to be nice and energetic. They handle weird orders with a smile. As I’m sitting here, the music is at a volume that allows the many people here to have conversations. All the trash cans are at ok levels and the Men’s room is clean.

The coffee is like Starbucks coffee anywhere. If you like it (and I do), you’ll like this too.
Staff is meh. Not very friendly even when they aren’t busy.
Line in the AM — WAY TO LONG on almost every day
What has basically stopped me from going to this Starbucks location however is the fruit flies that my colleagues and I have seen buzzing around in the pastry case on many occasions. Ewwww icky. And when pointed out to the staff — they seemed generally unconcerned with the issue. Combined with the bout of extreme unwellness/​possible food poisoning I got one time — just not going to chance this location any more.
There’s another Starbucks a block up 14^th at New York Ave. if you need this particular seattle java fix.
