Even though I gave it 3 stars, and I’ll get to that later, it was some of the best pizza I have ever eaten. I got a slice called«meat delight.» It had sausage, pepperoni, onions, green peppers, and mushrooms. They heat it up in front of you, and it takes no time until you can enjoy the pizza yourself. If the pizza was so great, why didn’t I give it 5 stars? That’s because the service was subpar. There is no menu to order from, you just pick your pizza, so I don’t know what you’d do if you didn’t want pizza. When I paid, the cashier was clearly inexperienced. When I arrived to the checkout table, with no line, it took her a while to realize I was even there. I needed to say, «excuse me» before I got any service. It also took her a while to count the bills and coins for my change. With my pizza, I ordered a small root beer. The soda machines face the employees, so they serve the drinks. She filled the entire cup with ice, so I didn’t get very much root beer. Overall Sbarros at Union Station has great pizza, with poor service.

Stopped by here and picked up a slice of pizza and pepperoni stick at 2:30 on a Friday. The pizza looked like it had been sitting out since the lunch rush. The sauce was dried out and the cheese was rubbery. The cheese had a weird taste to it. Not impressed, even for a $ 10 fast food lunch, especially considering I started to feel sick a couple hours later and had to sprint to a bathroom.

I was summoned with a friendly«Mom, can you get me some pizza please», so while I was on my way out from Union Station to the pizza joint by my house, I came up on Sbarro. I’ve never really paid attention to the location until today, as it’s in a perfect place for a quick grab n go before hopping on Metro or the trains. Before I placed her order, I turned into Foodie-Gate to investigate the various food stations they had to offer & the layout. Great options within this small interior pizzeria. The hot bar, was amass of steamed veggies, garlic bread, rice, antipasti, roasted potatoes, rotisserie chicken, & baked chicken concoctions, to say the least. The cold bar had a colorful arrangement of salads-3−5 different ways, fresh fruit, crudités, whole fruits, pasta salads & more. The pasta bar had the originals of chicken vesuvio, parmesan & old fashion s’ghetti & meatballs. The baked ziti looked scrumptious. Then of course, the pizza station had a variety of pizzas — NY& Sicilian pies & strombolis. I don’t recall having so much fun in oohing & aahing at an Italian eatery I really can’t partake & enjoy in. Hence, my eyes were just as satisfied & I knew my Daughter would be satisfied. The staff was on a constant flow in keeping the dinning area up to par, which was pretty spacious, again for being an interior restaurant. & everyone behind the stations were friendly & glove wearing ready to go. There is a small language barrier, as it wasn’t Italian, hence they smiled, so all good to me. This place is a high mark if you want something different from the heavy fast food options throughout the Food Court & Deli’s. The price point was good for a slice & side, no drink needed. & when Daughter ate her lunch, she was golden… got the comment though, «it’s definitely not Boston pizza, but its suffice & tastes pretty OK». Well heck, give me my $ money back & go back to school & eat all the pizza you want, is what I wanted to tell her LOL. Yet I stayed silent. She was smiling while she was stuffing her face so happy Daughter, happy mommy.

Mice!!! I wish I could give no stars! Disgusting and so unhygienic! My friends told me not to eat from here as they have seen mice here a several times. I find the calzone good that’s why I ate from here; until I saw it with my own eyes. There are rats people. Please be careful! And when I went and complained to the workers there, who hardly spoke or understood English, they said to me thank you have a good day like trained parrots. They didn’t even understand what a mouse was! I tried sign language but realized they are too dumb to even understand that and therefore I left. That was the last day at sbarro at Union station for me!

This is the worst pizza I have ever eaten. The term cardboard pizza was invented for pizza like this. Scratch that, that’s an insult to cardboard. I really don’t know how this place has survived here for that long. I guess they probably rely on a constant stream of new visitors U Station. They say«there’s no such thing as bad pizza», however Sbarro’s is the one true exception. The dough is thick and devoid of any good pizza taste. The dough texture is more like a sponge, a soggy sponge. The cheese tastes highly processed and no flavor. The tomato sauce seems dried and old, with no zest. You know when you eat something so bad, that it leaves such a bad taste in your mouth that you don’t ever want to eat that type of food again? That is what Sbarro’s did to me, I love pizza, but I went on a pizza hiatus for awhile b/c everytime I thought of pizza, that spongey pizza from Sbarro’s came to mind. I finally broke that by eating at the delicious Duccini’s. If I ever wanted to ween off of pizza again, I will just take a bite out of Sbarro’s pizza.

Great location right outside of the Amtrak waiting area. Right before the escalators up to the bus departures. Great for a last minute stop before leaving. I had a 10ish bus departure very grateful to see a pizza place open in the morning. Not only did they have breakfast selections, totally unexpected, such as sausage, bacon, eggs, etc. But also breakfast pizza. There was a bacon egg and cheese slice that I decided on. I also saw an Italian buffet bar as well(after I ordered and paid!!) They have chips and chip type Snacks if you are looking for those as well as bottled beverages for easy bag carrying. Regular pizza slices were not available for another 20 min. Wish I had the time to wait for some as that is what I was hoping to get.

This location in downtown DC is just as good as the location in NYC Times Square. I like the fact that they offer pizza shop items for breakfast. The sausage, egg, and cheese pizza roll is great. I also like the fact that you can get a huge slice of their thin crust pizza topped with stuff like bacon, egg, and cheese. I don’t know any other pizza shop serving breakfast items like this in this city. the pizza here is all very good, affordable for the area, and you can get in and out of this place fast, even when it’s busy. Aside from breakfast, they have a regular thin crust pizza that is pretty close to being NYC style. Huge soft slices of pie that fold over in your hand when you eat it, so good. I like they’re stuffed pizza too. Overall, this place has great pizza but the breakfast items are my favorite. I will be going back here for sure the next time I catch a train to NY.

A-Ok sbarro. Everything tastes as you would expect. Staff is friendly and moves you along just fine. The seating area can get a little messy with tables not being as clean as you might expect, but nothing too bad. I don’t mind sitting there. Love my Sbarros!

Filling food that’s a little pricey. I got the philly cheese steak stuffed pizza which wasn’t to my liking but my friends, who got pepperoni were fine with theirs. Good if you need good in a pinch.

The food was okay, but definitely wasn’t worth the price. Back in my home town, we had one in our local mall and I honestly don’t remember it being that bad. The pizza was lacking and so what my husband’s steak and cheese calzone. The service was alright, even though we kept getting some weird stares from some of the employees. I was upset when I found an Indian place downstairs that was pretty decent. Also, what pizza place serves fried rice on a buffet?

Located in the very busy Union Station amongst 175 other stores. seemed like a good consistent call. Especially at 4pm, being our first meal, since a 9am breakfast in Virginia . As usual, plenty of pizza /pasta choices. I chose a slice combo, which included 1 large slice of pepperoni /sausage pizza, a bowl of baked zitti & a beverage. $ 7.89 The bride chose the buffet bar at $ 6.99 per pound She got grilled veggies, 2 grilled chicken breasts, pasta &2 meatballs. $ 7.25 Everything was very good & flavorful. The bonus was sitting along the aisle, people watching commuters come & go & try to make there connecting trains, buses & other modes of transportation I even spotted former U of M basketball coach Tommy Amakker. but he pretended not to hear me. Typical Sbarro location, plus a by-the-pound food bar. For a location in a train station, however, it is very difficult if not impossible to navigate with luggage, as space for luggage was apparently not incorporated into the design of this place.

Decent, yet overpriced pizza conveniently located in Union Station. When asking for water, they literally grabbed a cup and poured me lukewarm water from the sink. Thanks.

Great Sbarros This is a nice place. This is on the main floor of Union Station right smack next to the gates to board the trains. It’s a great location. It gets a lot of foot traffic. If you’re on your way, then you can stop here and get something quick. They have a seating area so you can eat it there and chillax if you want. They have the typical Sbarros menu. As you enter they have pizzas displayed that you can order by the slice. They’re pre-cooked, and the dude just sticks it in the oven for a few minutes to heat it up. They also have things that look like strombolis or calzones. You can get something on the side like meatballs or past. They also have a buffet you can get food by the pound. They also have a breakfast buffet. I’ve never eaten from the buffet. I only get pizza slices because I’m usually just rushing through. But it’s good on-the-go food, and the people are nice.

This location wins points for having a lot of space, but the lines are long, and the pizza is kind of blah. I got spinach and mushroom, and it was just weird: soggy spinach, rubbery texture. I mean, it was edible, but I’d never go out of my way to eat it again.

Ive been here a few times, but not real sure why i keep coming back maybe out of convenience? i don’t know, but the food here is atrocious. The pizza is usually always cold or at least room temp even after they shove it back in the oven. I bought breakfast here this morning. $ 6 for something I was barely able to swallow. I don’t usually bad talk businesses, especially ones that are still in business because obviously they are doing something right to still be collecting our money. I was disappointed this morning when i bought scrambled eggs, hash browns, a biscuit and sausage because they put it in a nice plate and covered it with a tight fitting top so i could take it to work, but they never offered me a bag. Yes, I understand the extremely absurd 5 cent a bag law in DC(that’s a completely different rant that i wont get into right now) anyway, they never even asked if I wanted the 5cent bag. So, on my walk to work from Union Station with my book bag, purse and now covered breakfast plate in tow I made the couple block trek to work, dodging traffic and illegally crossing streets and in all balancing this plate that if I happened to drop it I would have wasted my $ 6.(luckily I didn’t drop it) All in all the place is in a prime location to be a great chain restaurant, but they are failing miserably. The employees have no personality or customer service training. They act as if they don’t want to be there, I say if they don’t want to be there i am positive there are people looking for work who would serve pizza with a smile. Avoid this place if you can, its overpriced and just a joke.

I have been critical of soho’s buffet on 14 and F for its lukewarm, boarderline cold food. This place is buffet done RIGHT!!! I was hungry but in need some more savory fare than what the Au Bön Pan. Then I saw Sbarro. I’m not a huge pizza fan, but I thought, «let me just look at the buffet.» OMG. There were fresh vegetables, nice starch and meat options, and salad. I selected at cucumber and tomato salad, baked chicken and a pastat dish. Everthing was appropiately HEATED and good. Even the bread, which I thought was going to be tough and stale. Turned out to be very soft on the inside. This was definitely a buffet done right. Pluses include there is a lot of seating, it’s near to the trains so you can hear any important announcements. Lastly it was it is well lit and good for reading. This place gets the green light.
