We stopped here for lunch while on a short vacation with our kids. It was so delicious!!! Everything fresh. We all tried different items from the menu and everyone loved their meal. Great place! Wish we had one in Richmond Virginia.

Where I like the nearest Mediterranean restaurant is 40 – 50 miles away. So I am no expert on Mediterranean food. This place looks more like a fast food place and has no waitstaff. But the food is excellent. My wife and I got different things so we could share and tray stuff, everything was good. We loved the cous-cous and hummas

Ive ate here a lot and have never once had a grumpy server or someone who looks like they want to jump off a cliff(like Noodles Co.) The food is always good and the service is quick. 10⁄10.

Did you know that Roti has an app where you can gather points and get a free plate/sandwich/sides. But Roti may not have the most technologically advanced app. I say this because we have to submit a picture of our receipt and then points get added to our account the next day. A little tedious right? The good thing is that you can submit up to two receipts a day, so snap up your friend’s receipt too! I LOVE the food at Roti, but the thing I noticed about this location is that their food is a lot fresher during lunch time than in the evening. Which makes sense because of the high turnover during lunch time in Rosslyn. The long lines moves fairly quickly, although no line can move as fast as the lines in the nearby Chopt and Chipotle.

Always a safe bet to hit up Roti for lunch. They have great vegetarian options and the portions are ample enough to more than fill you up. The prices are reasonable and the service is quick. It can get extremely crowded at lunch and the wait can be lengthy.

Good food for a quick dinner. Chipotle like is probably the best description of it. Nothing fancy, but everything is good and fresh. The falafel is organic and tasty.

Service and quality have both dropped here dramatically over the past few months, and I am sad to say I will no longer be visiting this location, which I have long considered my go-to lunch spot. I’ll be blunt: portion sizes have shrunk to a size that no longer justifies $ 10. They don’t even put enough lettuce on the plate to give the impression it’s full… more like someone already ate half their lunch. Their tiny serving spoons might aim at the idea you’re receiving a heaping helping, but no one is fooled. And the lettuce is about as dry and wilty as it gets without actually leaving it in the sun. Unfortunately, my mine aim at lunch isn’t culinary flavor, it’s not being hungry in an hour. And Roti just can’t deliver like it used to.

Fresh food and served quickly. Like most places on Penn Ave, it gets very busy at lunch. Try to hit in the off hours if possible. Their chicken and hummus is the best thing on the menu. The seating area can be pretty tight at lunchtime.

Used this restaurant for catering for a business meeting – great service and very flexible for last minute planning. On other occasions, for personal meals, a staff member, «Marque» in the DC Pennsylvania Ave location, was superrrrrr helpful, even by bringing out my take out bag to my car during a rainstorm, all because I didn’t want to park and run in and wait to pick it up. Yea, a little bratty on my part, but I was very thankful for him. That’s the epitome of a valued employee, just in case his boss is reading! Highly recommend this place for meals and catering!

Great Place, pretty much like Cava Meza Grill if you are a fan of that or a Mediterranean Chipotle. I had the chicken/steak rice bowl, they have plenty of things to add to it like hummus and red peppers. Seemed pretty healthy and tasted good. The line moves fast so know what you want before you get to the counter when they are busy.

This place knows what it’s about. It’s quick, staffed well for the downtown lunch rush, and has some good food. I like to get there slightly before the big rush but observe that the line moves fairly quickly even though it’s out the door by 12:15. The Chicken Roti rice plate is my favorite. Their hummus is okay, the chicken is always flavorful, pita bread is a little bland and could be improved but it does the trick. I enjoy Roti mainly because it’s a nice change from the sandwich and fast food scene.

I was looking for a healthy lunch option having exhausted Sweetgreen runs. I got the salad with chicken kabob and wasn’t impressed. Very Americanized version of Mediterranean food. To compare, Medi in Shirlington is 50 times better. Maybe if I’d never had Medi, I’d be more impressed but in general you can get a better«salad» type of bowl at Chipotle.

My favorite lunch place, especially since it’s right across from my office. What I usually get: Rice plate Chicken roti Red pepper sauce Tomato/cucumber Cous cous Mixed veggies Love when the bread comes out hot and fresh. Solid amount of food for the price.

Overall, its a convenient, low calorie moderately priced Mediterranean joint. I have had very limited menu items, but never had a bad experience. It gets pretty packed around lunch since many of us near the White House frequent 17th and Penn daily. Super fast service — Get into it!

For what you are getting at a price below $ 10, this place has some top nosh flavors! I had the chicken pita and was very satisfied. I would not recommend going here for an anniversary or honeymoon.

4.5 stars. Maybe 5. It’s quick, and it fills me up for $ 8 + tax. I get the salad with all the sides, and the spicy sauce. I couldn’t even finish the pita and hummus. Best sides — eggplant and red cabbage. Adequate seating.

Like how the band Dragonforce basically plays the same damn song over and over again under a different name, Roti food is essentially the same«taste» with minor variants here-and-there. That being said, it’s pretty good stuff. Roti is Chipotle with a Mediterranean hat on. You pick a base carb(a rice plate is generally the best) and top it with a meat(all are awesome — I recommend the steak or falafel) and sides(I recommend the tomatoes, cous cous, and snap peas). On top of it all, you get a somewhat overly generous helping of spicy or savory sauce — I recommend the roasted red pepper. That, plus a tasty pita bread, is about $ 8 – 10. Don’t bother with the cookies, they tend to be too dry to be palatable. This place is a good go-to lunch place, but I tired of it quickly, especially since I used to live in the same building.

This is a local fast casual chain that should go global– the concept is fantastic and the food is delicious and affordable Mediterranean cuisine. It’s the perfect place if you’re looking for a quick bite of something fresh. Like others have said, the concept is build-your-own plate, sandwich or salad, similar to Chipotle. The best bang for your buck will be the platter, and it comes with pita bread as well. My favorites: the eggplant, the falafel, the mixed veggies and their tzatziki sauce(but just add a little).

So, they took away the loyalty card that they used to have a couple years ago, but the food is still as good as back then. Fast moving line and you get to pick btw plates, salads or sandwiches and adding limited toppings to each. Really good lunch place overall.

If I ever come back to DC, this is a place where I will go back to. At first thinking of what to write for this review, I couldn’t really find the words to describe this place. Lets just say, I’m addicted. During lunch, and downtown in D.C. this place was busy. Packed. All of the above. Roti can only be found in only a few cities so it’s definitely a place to check out if you’re in town. If you ever had a mission style burrito from Chipotle or where it was created, and will always be in my thoughts as the best, Taqueria La Cumbre(and for some reason I can’t find the review… or I never wrote it because I just started using Unilocal.) Roti takes on their style of burrito. Except, it’s full of mediterranean goodness. Note, this is only for the Steak Laffa Wrap as I thought it was the easiest to handle due to the time we had for lunch and that it was easy to eat outside on the benches considering that the restaurant itself was extremely packed. So, what did I get? I got a Steak Laffa Wrap with onions, tomatoes/cucumbers, hummus, light sauce, olives, and couscous. And what came after that, was pure ecstasy and full of flavor with every bite. I was thinking hummus wasn’t going to go with it well, but surprisingly it completely blew my tastebuds away. Oh, only if I did live near here I would definitely be back for more. What do I suggest you to do for lunch today? Go here and eat.
