Que preciosa! Visiting DC for the weekend, I just happened to walk by and decided to stop in and look around. My Spanish is rusty, incredibly, social anxiety provokingly rusty, so I tensed up when the staff greeted me with a warm«Hola!» when I walked in the door. However, after seeing that the store had a broad selection of Spanish books in every genre(including a large section of kids books, art books and cook books, for those who are looking for gifts), I screwed up my courage and asked if they would help me find a fairly easy novel in Spanish by a female author. They were very sweet about my Spanish, using a mix of Spanish and English to get the points across — sort of like a mini lesson in Spanish, all for the cost of a book. They also have lectures and presentations in the store, a great opportunity for people who live in the DC area to improve their language skills.
