Pizza Boli’s

Ordered their pizza for the first time and was pleasantly surprised. We got two large hand tossed pizzas, one with pepperoni and black olives and the other with bacon, sausage and pepperoni. Was pleased with both. Several different kinds of crust and a good selection of toppings to choose from.
Used a coupon to get the three topping for a great price. Used Eat 24 to get it delivered and it all worked out great. Got here in a reasonable time. Definitely will be ordering from here again. Gonna try the stromboli next time.

This place has always been hit-​or-​miss in my experience. I mainly keep going back because it is conveniently located near me and because they offer pizza by the slice. They also sell onion rings, which have never disappointed.
When their pizza game is strong, they make a delicious, gooey/​cheesy New York-​style pie. But whether they are having one of those «game is strong» days is a toss-​up.
Same goes for their customer service and speed. Some days I speak with über-​friendly employees and other days I am «helped» by people who act as though my business is a major inconvenience, even when there are no other customers. On a couple of occasions I have ordered full pizzas, but for the most part I just order the standard small cheese slice. No frills, no special requests. Sometimes I get my slice within 60 seconds, but on a couple of visits it has taken 40 minutes.
This place has a lot of potential, and some days they are totally great. But consistency would be an improvement.

Twice I have ordered food & never received my order. The first time the young lady had a smart mouth & the second time they took my card # & never entered the order. I’m waiting for my bank statement as we speak. I will never order anything from this establishment again. The staff is rude & inept… Don’t waste your time if you are hungry… the only thing that will be delivered is excuses. If I could give a half a star I would. No customer service skills whatsoever.

I ordered the hot chicken wings and garlic bread. Everything was really good. The delivery was fast and the cost is reasonable.

I have been ordering from Pizza Boli for about 5 years but lately the service has become undependable. They constantly forget items from your order (garlic sauce for pizza, blue cheese for wings, pepperoncinis in the Greek salads). Then when you call them to tell them that they forgot certain items they apologize and say they will do one of two things. 1– they will bring the item right away (which they NEVER will) or 2– say they will give you a free soda the next time you order and that they will put it in their computer under your address (which is also a bold lie because it’s never in the computer the next time you order). The food is alright across the board but go there to pick it up yourself to make sure you get exactly what you want.

I placed the wrong order but the pizza given to me was good. Its a little to thick for my taste. Not a bad place though

My friends and i (kate and meagan) ordered some food from here for delivery to our hotel room. It got here in the time they said it would, and arrived hot. I ordered the full chicken parm sub, kate ordered a half cold cut sub and 5 wings, and meagan ordered breadsticks.
The food looked all right, except meagan’s «breadsticks» was literally just a cheese-​less, sauce-​less pizza. It was just a circular pie of bread, and it was hilarious. You should order this just for the lol’s.
Moving on, I could tell from bite 1 of my sub that this was not going to end well for my bowels. It swallowed so easily, though. Even halfway through the sub, my intestines were ready to revolt. We were visiting DC from all over the states, ready to experience the city, but we had no idea what was in store for us. The Boli’s bowel backlash was barbaric. We had a show at Echostage later that night! We COULDN’T have disastrous diarrhea develop! Boli’s didn’t give a single fuck. That chicken parmesan tore through my gastrointestinal system like a hot knife through butter. The cold cuts carved kate up like a christmas craigslist killer. Meagan was sick before eating, so she continued to be sick, but she’s one of those sympathy-​sickers, so us getting sick made her feel even more sick, know what I mean?
I am writing this review 5 days later, and no joke, i am still emptying the remnants of that chicken parmesan. If you want an alternative to laxatives, i recommend Pizza Boli’s.

So very truly thankful for this place. Lol I called 13 minutes before closing time & they still answered and took my order! Usually most places wouldn’t answer just because it’s almost time to clock out. OH! AND not to mention they delivered to my neighborhood although I was supposed to call the one closer to me but still came through in less than an hour! I wish I had more cash to tip the driver. The person who answered the phone was extremely friendly as well. They definitely came through just in time for my 1 am greasy cravings. I had the cheese steak, sooo sooo good: P

I called the customer service number I was told, and within a few minutes received a return phone call. The area representative apologized profusely and said he would essentially give some professional development to the driver in question. And, he sent me a coupon for what amounts to be a free meal. The coupon arrived within a few days. I was pleased with this level of customer service.

Never Again… Sad to say
Have been a pretty loyal customer for a very long time, years, but this last experience was unbelievable. Ordered online at 1:40pm on a Saturday … Wings, shrimp basket, xxl thin crust chicken & spinach pizza cut in squares. Food came at about 2:20 opened the pizza and it was the wrong pizza just a plain chicken pizza (no spinach, no thin crust no squares) delivery man had already sped off. I call them immediately to let them know and they fumble on the phone put me on hold for a while, another person gets on the phone and says okay we see the problem we’re bringing your pizza. Okay cool no problem! so half hour goes by its now going on 3 pm I call back to check the status the girl says deliveries left out 10 mins ago then she realizes im the same person who called about the wrong pizza. im told to hold on again… okay. A man gets on the phone again and says the same thing «im going to bring your pizza myself» but he continued to say that they made me a thin crust pizza even though it was the wrong pizza (almost as if they wanted me to settle with the one I already had) So I had to tell him numerous times the pizza I asked for and the pizza I got. Regardless if they considered it still «thin crust» which it really wasn’t for real, I still got the wrong pizza and missing a topping that was PAID FOR. 45 minutes happen to go by I call AGAIN… Young man answers and says deliveries went out 20 minutes ago, I tell him well I only live a couple blocks it takes 2 minutes to drive to. Get put on hold again… I ask if after all this time can I keep the now cold as a brick pizza given the fact all they were gonna do was throw it away, they say NO… Okay just bring my pizza please. it come at 4PM. Chicken and spinach pizza, no squares, barely thin crust. By this time the family is starving so I kept the pizza but called them to let them no they just lost a good customer.
VERY DISAPPOINTED

I’ve generally found this Pizza Bolis to be good. Their pizza is above average, and definitely nicer than the huge chain restaurants. I’ve also found that they generally deliver on time. On the negative side, their driver doesn’t actually bring the pizza to your door — he just sits in his car and expects you to come to him. It’s ridiculous.
Overall, it’s a good experience, and they’re my «go-​to» for pizza in the NE area.

I am really pissed! I called for delivery pizza at 5:03 pm to feed myself and 2 toddler grandchildren. I was told 30 minutes. I expected that and had figured that into my order time. I had to call them back hour later and was told it was on its way! 30 minutes later (1 ½ hours after my original order time) my pizza showed up and was stone cold! I even asked the driver if it was hot! He told me «oh yes very hot» It should have been free after all that time and being cold. Will never order from them again!

Ordered 2 Gyro platters online. When I arrived 30 minutes later, I still had to wait another 20 minutes. Their waiting area is dirty and has a «couch» that is ripped with the stuffing coming out if it. The cashier was rude and the food wasn’t that good.

This review is purely for Bolis vs. pizza in the same class. I’m never going to compare it to Menomale or 2 Amys, which are IMO the best pizza places in DC. The conversation about gourmet pizza places is totally separate (as is the product/​occasion) as «fast food» pizza, so this review I think rightly stacks Bolis against other pizza «in class» — local chains like Todays Pizza and Mille and Als, as well as national chains like Dominos, Pizza Hut, and Papa Johns. And Bolis blows them all away. The $ 8.99 XL pickup special is the best pickup deal in DC. The pizza actually tastes good too – the crust has a chewy, crispy consistency, the cheese is pretty flavorful, and the sauce isn’t too sweet. Bolis is easily the best fast food pizza in DC, and it’s not even close.

I ordered a chicken cheese steak sandwich and a Mountain Dew. My order took atleast an hour if not more and once it was delivered I asked the total again and the driver tried to get me for an extra $ 2…no bueno and then to top it off he gave me a Pepsi… smh…never again with these people!!!

I’ve gotten two pizza orders here. I had not been a fan of any Pizza Boli’s before, but I must admit that these were very good pizzas. Fast friendly delivery, too. I’ll certainly order again.
Update: Many orders later and they’re still great. Really friendly, capable. Large menu of good items besides just pizza. I usually do pickup but I haven’t had any bad experiences with delivery — I hope it’s just a temporary problem.

Ordered a large pizza for delivery. After an hour I called wondering where the pizza was and they assured me it would be here any minute. 30 minutes later the driver finally showed up. 90 minutes. Really? Of course the pizza was cold. The driver said there were only two drivers and they were understaffed. I suppose they could have told me this when I ordered, but they didn’t. The pizza did have the correct toppings, and wasn’t bad after reheating. Odds are that we won’t order from them again.
