Impressive. Good drinks. Good prices. Nice place to meet friends and have a few beers before the place gets busy.

This place is bizarre. It’s not very successful, but should be — it’s super-nice inside, refurbished and, as my friend said«extremely sexy.» The drinks are cheap, at least on Fridays — $ 3 a beer, for any bottle, even moderate-nice beers like Sam Adams and Red Stripe, and $ 5 for Yager bombs, if that’s the way you go…

I’ve been to the upstairs part of Mirrors for two separate parties: Blue Stockholm, a feel-good hiphop one-off and Rebirth, a deep house weekly party. Stockholm’s party was pre-renovation but even then the place looked pretty good and felt cozy. It had a lot of velvet and leather couches with a big bar. The dancefloor was not that big but worked for the night. Rebirth, on the other hand, had the benefit of a completely remodeled space. It had hardwood floors, lush curtains, plasma tv, and pool table. The bar was a little smaller but the anviance was fantastic. The Rebirth party has since stopped but I’m sure whatever event gets the space, it will be a good time provided the music/vibe is good. Not the best parking at all though, with Ibiza and Fur getting most of the good spots. Pay parking across the street with free street parking if you get there early enough. There is a downstairs event that has gogo parties but I’ve never been. Overall a good addition to New York Avenue.
