Amazing facility, nice and clean. Came in today my appointment was on time, Karen was the desk clerk. Nice sweet and helped a lot. MA Paula was so helpful. And Dr. Jasmin was really easy to talk to. Best customer service I have experienced in a long time .

Horrific, no one knows whats going on here. The doctors are incompetent and if you call the place and ask for medical records they will transfer you from person to person until you give up then give you fake numbers to call! Do not go here!

This place was recommended to me as I had to do a physical for my insurance by a certain date. The facility was clean and the receptionist was friendly. Though I was told it was a walk in facility and on arrival there was only one other person there I was told I had to make an appointment for another day which I did. Only to get a call on the day of my appointment saying they had to cancel, when I explained again that I had made the appointment because of this deadline I had and asked if there was anyone else who could see me on that day. the gentleman was very abrupt and hostile and said no and if I didn’t want to go the following week (after my deadline) he couldn’t help me and hung up the phone. Basically he has ruined the experience for me even if had been slightly more understanding or compassionate I would have been less offended but I won’t be going back there, if this is how they handle patients I won’t be one.

Due to a string of bad luck this year, I have been into this urgent care a few times, both for primary and urgent care. The intake nurses are very friendly and helpful, and the PA (Kelly) is great. However, I have only had extremely negative experiences with the doctors here.
I was prescribed the wrong dose of my medication not once, not twice, but THREE times. The doctor wasn’t even aware — I only found out because I ran out of the medication six days too early, after the doctor did not answer my phone calls or messages. After multiple more calls, I explained the dosage I should have been prescribed and I was assured that the right amount would be sent in that night. It was not — but rather the wrong dose was sent in again.
As a patient, I count on my doctors to send in the correct amount of a medication that I know very little about. This incident likely impeded my recovery and could potentially have a longer term effect on my condition. I find it unacceptable that I can calculate the correct dosage, but the doctor cannot. I will not be returning.

As I feel like medical care is highly important, I decided it was important to write this review. I came in for an ear infection and pain in my throat and the physicians assistant and nurse discounted my pain. The nurse was extremely rude when taking the strep test and complained when i was chocking while she was taking it. She then went to flush my ear and continued to say that no one else ever feels pain with the procedure. She also made me feel bad when I was crying when I am fairly confident that she ruptured my ear drum. The physicians assistant then prescribed medication that was not covered by insurance. I also waited over an hour after my appointment time and overheard nurses and doctors talking about candy instead of helping patients. I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy.

As many others have noted, even if you have an appointment, be prepared to wait. I’ve gone to this place three times over the past year and a half or so, once for a physical and a couple of times for minor sports-​related injuries. Each time I’ve made an appointment, called to confirm it and then been made to wait for up to an hour to be seen (usually 30 to 40min in the waiting room and another 20min in the exam room). Pretty annoying if you’re working a regular job and .
I’ve also only been properly billed here 1 out of 3 times. The first time they entered in the wrong doctor and exam info, the second time was fine, the third time they sent a bill claiming it was past due without having sent a previous notice.
The quality of medical care seems average, so no major concerns there — but everything else about this clinic screams poor management.

My review is specifically for Dr. Martine F. Jasmin. She is a rude, arrogant, self-​absorbed, a know-​it-​all and a lazy physician that doesn’t care about providing quality care to patients. Is she even familiar with the term patient-​centered care and what it means to provide quality care? I visited the urgent care facilities regarding an unexpected allergic reaction. After I communicated what my symptoms were and my past experience and observation with the symptoms, she appeared disinterested and simply did not have patience in regards to the questions and concerns I had. I felt like I was an inconvenience to her. I asked her to review my past notes/​history to see what previous doctors had recommended for treatment, and she said «it takes a lot of time to go into the online files.» I immediately became concerned and distrusting of her advice and her prognosis — which doctor wouldn’t want to review my medical history? This was the worst service I’ve ever received from a doctor! This facility has gone downhill! I won’t be visiting this facility anymore — the doctors seem uncaring and the medical assistants are very rude and unprofessional. Everyone there now has an attitude, and bathroom and the visiting rooms were not cleaned and sanitary! You’ve been warned.

This review is specifically about Dr. Martine Jasmin. I had a negative and scary experience after taking a legal substance in DC. I don’t have a primary care doctor, so I considered this a push to go get one and to tell them about this experience.
Dr. Jasmin was disrespectful and judgmental. Within but a couple of minutes of my explaining why I was there, she looked at me incredulously and said «what did you expect would happen?!» Entirely writing me off. She thought my reason for coming in was ridiculous and said «I feel like I’m in some kind of hidden camera show.»
What I experienced was traumatic, it was very hard for me to discuss and hard for me to do something about it. I decided to seek help even though I never usually go to the doctor and this woman did not create a safe environment for me. It is very vulnerable to go to the doctor and ask for help. It is a doctor’s ethical responsibility to help the patients that come in to see them and listen to them as human beings.
Within 3 minutes, I felt uncomfortable, judged, upset, ashamed. This woman is a menace to patients. Beware that if she doesnt like why you’re coming in, she will belittle you and disrespect you.

Be prepared for a very long wait — currently an hour into a wait for a 9:30 appointment (not counting the 15 mins I arrived early). All to see a doctor for 2 minutes.
Other than that’s its a convenient location next to the metro if you just need simple things like travel immunizations, or a z-​pack of antibiotics. But I’m debating just going to the clinic in CVS or Walgreens next time!

These folks are great and got me right in to see a health care professional last month, when I was sure I had the flu. They screened me and PA Kelly Thelin, who was very charming and had great bedside manners, got me a tamaflu prescription straight away and sent me off to recover. Got in fast, everyone was really nice and it was good experience.

Waited over an hour and a half to be seen on a Sunday. In the first 90 minutes I was there, they called only two out of ten patients.
Nurse/​medical assistant was rude and looked absolutely miserable. Also, there was a giant TV mounted to the wall in the exam room that was airing a football game. This was kind of odd, but maybe it had something to do with the excessive wait time?
My rapid strep test was negative, but the doctor prescribed me antibiotics anyway because my throat «looked like it had strep.» He also said that the rapid strep test only tests for strep A. That’s true… but that’s because strep A is the type of streptococcus that causes strep throat.
Doctor sent my prescription to the Walgreens next door even though I had listed a different pharmacy on my admit form. The Walgreens was disgusting and had terrible customer service.
The doctor’ office called me over a week later. Woman on the phone said my throat culture was negative for strep and advised me not to take the antibiotic the doctor had prescribed. I had already been done with the antibiotic for two days.

TL;DR — Can be okay for immediate care that requires absolutely no follow up whatsoever. Avoid for anything that will require ANY ongoing care — even if as basic as getting lab results or a medication refill.
I really don’t like to rate medical facilities poorly, as I don’t think I can necessarily speak of substandard medical care per say, but the follow up service I keep receiving here has left me no choice and others should be warned as well in case it’s for something more serious. Someone at this office needs to be made aware of the inadequacies and fix them.
Coming in here and other locations of this business for urgent care needs has been very simple and efficient. I’m very certain now that this has only been because it has required absolutely no follow up from the office once I leave their building. I’ve used the company for many sick visits before and they recently started marketing themselves as a primary care facility as well — which I’d ideally love to have within the same building. So I made a (now seeming extremely poor) decision to come here for my annual woman’s health check up to get a prescription for birth control. The follow up from this office has been legitimately awful. I was seen 6 months ago and am STILL having issues with getting my birth control prescription accurately submitted to my CVS.
My initial exam actually had to be rescheduled because this office had just switched systems and I ended up waiting more than a hour just to get into an exam room for my appointment. I was also originally triaged and it came as a surprise to the triaging tech that I was actually in for an appointment, not to see immediate care. When I came back in for my rescheduled exam, I told Abi that I do continuous cycling (I skip the placebo week of the packs) and need to have 4 monthly packs prescribed to actually equate to a 3 month supply for me. I have only received the correct number of packs with the proper usage directions once and even getting that wasn’t an easy task. It wasn’t correct the first time it was sent to CVS either. At this point, I should have only needed to deal with refilling this prescription twice (at maximum), but I’ve dealt with it 5 times due to errors that are not my fault. I have called this office many times to give the front desk staff crystal clear instructions on what exactly I need for my prescription to no avail. I have sent them multiple extremely detailed emails stating what I need for my prescription to be filled properly to no avail.
I also had lab work taken during my exam in May and wasn’t contacted until 3 weeks later with results and it’s not because I didn’t try to get them. When the blood was taken from me, the phlebotomist let me know that results would be back within 3 – 5 days. I emailed the office twice after the two week mark without results and never heard back. So then I started to call. Each time when I called, the front desk staff acknowledged that the lab results were in, but that they couldn’t relay them to me. That’s fine, I understand that they aren’t doctors and cannot interpret them. But they also made no efforts to actually get my interpreted results to me. The only thing they offered me was to walk in, wait who knows how long to be seen, get payment for another exam, and have a practitioner interpret the results then. Really? I set expectations for them to be relayed to me via phone before COB, but, of course, did not hear back. It got to the point where I asked for the results to just be emailed to me so I could take them elsewhere for interpretation — they were never sent to me. I had to call back three days in a row literally demanding to get my results. Abi finally called me back after hours when I called twice the third day. It’s completely unacceptable to wait 3 weeks for results that had been sitting in my file for the majority of the time I was waiting.
The final straw is that I requested refills for the tablets (that have still only been correctly filled once) on 11÷04÷15 via CVS at 12:42 am with a requested pick up date of 11÷06÷15 (two weeks before I was to run out of the medication). This office had still not responded to CVS as of 11÷12÷15, so I called requesting the refills be called in. The front desk staffer I talked to said it would be called in that day. I made sure to also tell her it needed to be the 4 packs with previous usage directions. To her credit, tablets were called in… but the only thing correct about the whole thing was that birth control was called into CVS. It shouldn’t take 10+ days to respond to refill requests accurately. I had to call three more times between 11÷12÷15 and now for the correct quantity and directions to be sent to CVS. It’s seriously NOT this hard to get a prescription sent to a pharmacy correctly. This office also sometimes just doesn’t answer incoming calls and you get a message saying they’re closed when they aren’t.

By far the worst experience I’ve ever had while trying to be seen by a doctor, including emergency rooms. In fact, that probably would have been faster. It took two hours to be called back to be seen just by a nurse, and another 45 before I had any real contact with the Doctor. The doctor (not sure of his name, but it was on Porter drive. He never introduced himself) was brusque and rude. I came in for a sore throat and fever and shivered in their office for the three hours I was there, not offered any water through coughing, no blankets available. The nurse was 20 minutes late, walking in after 6 people were waiting to be triaged. When doc finally did show up, he knocked, opened the door, waved, then walked away for another two minutes. He made a strange comment about my age, told me to take Advil with food and was out the door. Sure, there are TVs in the clinic rooms and no plastic ferns in sight, but you can’t get away with bad patient care just because I can watch the Property Brothers while I wait two hours and forty five minutes to be seen.
I am a person who is in doctors offices frequently. I know quality care and I can manage in less than satisfactory of offices. But DC Immediate Care was a totally terrible experience that wasn’t salvageable by any standards. I’ll never go back.

Great for urgent care, but not primary care. I went after an accident and they did it all — xrays, shots and sutures plus good referrals to specialist. Less than 300 and never went to the hospital. They did my annual physical a year later and were extremely thorough, and insurance covered whole thing. But the follow up to the lab tests was non-​existent so I was clueless. They said a new system will fix that but I think they just see everybody as a walk in.

Following the instruction from the reply of the billing department, email them my issue and related proof. No one reply me since 29 Aug, 2015. That email is a fake one. Don’t waste your time. I will try to get the phone later see if it is also a fake one.

This clinic is incompetent ! A complaint with the medical board is in process. This Clinic never followed up regarding labs that they told me they were running, each time I called or emailed I got a different story and no one seemed to know what was going on. I waited a week only to be told they didn’t do them despite being told each time I contacted them that these were «in process». I was told If I wanted to come back I could do them then! Never in my life have I had such a poor experience in the medical field. Completely unprofessional

I’ve been coming to this clinic for almost a year. In the beginning it was great, short wait times, easy appointments and wonderful staff. However the past 4 appointments have been not so good. For the past 3 appointments I’ve made I’ve been given one appointment time only to get a confirmation that’s a completely different time — they’ve been anywhere from 15 minutes to an hour off. And as everyone else has said, you will wait. Even with an appointment, you will wait at least 30 minutes either in the waiting room or the exam room — or it’s a particularly bad day, both. It’s also difficult, even if you have regular appointments here to feel any personal connection to the doctors as they see so many patients that they never remember you. And most of the time you see a different doctor every visit.

The first time I came here, it was great! However, the last two times, I have come here, I have been forgotten and left in the waiting room for over an hour.
One thing is they will let you sit in the waiting room forever before they triage you… How do they know who is the most urgent and who isn’t. This place is confused… Is it urgent or primary care? They sure do not have ANY sense of urgency!
If you make an appointment, this place is fine… But if you need to be seen quickly, DO NOT COME HERE. They don’t care how sick you are, they will see people in order… So someone with a stubbed toe will be seen before someone running a high fever and throwing up!

I feel compelled to update my review — but to be clear, this is only a review of the billing practices. I have received good medical care here and have visited on a few occasions, but will not do so any longer. After my last visit, I have spent the past 7 months trying to deal with simple billing questions which have gone unanswered, ignored and into the void of a badly run process.
I visited this location in December 2014. Shortly after, I received a bill from Medical Faculty Associates. There was no communication or indication that the bill was for my services received at DC Immediate & Primary Care. However, it was the only doctor’s appt. I had in December so it was not hard to deduce what it was for. I tried calling the office, but they don’t handle billing. I emailed the email address on the website for DC Immediate & Primary Care with my questions, and never received a response. I called MFA and spoke to a very nice woman who explained that they were taking over the billing and would look into my questions (there were duplicate items listed on the bill and I do not understand why certain items were not covered by my insurance). 7 months later, I have spoken to the nice woman at MFA several times and she has never had an update for me. She was calm, professional and sympathetic, but each time a new bill came in and I called — there was no information for me.
Finally, this week, I have received a threatening invoice indicating that this is my final notice and they will send it to collections if I don’t pay. So I give up. The bill is not large, it will not hinder me financially. They have worn me down. I can’t spend any more time trying to get this sorted. I will pay the stupid bill. BUT, I will not return to this location. These billing practices are simply wrong. I am in a position to pay — but what if I were not? I still do not know if these charges are fair or appropriate. I cannot get any answers and I am tired of trying.

So, when I could no longer afford the $ 200 concierge at One Medical (yay nonprofit employment, although seriously guys, One Medical might have been worth the $ 200), I needed a new primary care doctor to touch base with as I have an HMO. I had one previous experience with this location as I didn’t have insurance for awhile and needed treatment for a UTI. They were pretty decent then — very good at being like «this will be $ 40» before doing my treatment. And they’re close to an end of town I’m in a lot. So I switched PCPs to here.
First they like, don’t know how to deal with HMOs. Even though they accept my insurance in HMO form, I had to be like NO REALLY you actually have to write me a referral for the dermatologist. «Are you sure you need a referral?» Yes, I’m very sure. Thank you. Took an extra thirty minutes to get someone to figure out a referral form.
Second, the doctor they had me see for my annual was… friendly in the car salesman way. I’ve seen better ones there, but this guy did the wonderful pedantic talk down to you thing that we all love to hate about doctors. Not all were like that — went in another time for back pain and she was great.
Third, I never went back to get my blood work done, but they charged me (and my insurance) for it anyway. It took me two months to get them to fix that so they could not charge me the $ 20 they should not have charged me.
Fourth, I had a killer freakin’ yeast infection in the middle of nowhere. Monistat just wasn’t covering it (ladies, you know what I’m talking about). I have an established history of killer yeast infections about once or twice a year that take awhile to get rid of, although a round of diflucan will usually handle it. Every other doctor I go to knows this, if they haven’t encountered it, I make sure to cover it in any annual. Which I did with car salesman dude. Just called asking for a script for diflucan to be sent to where I am — I’m two hours away and rural, there’s no way I can make it up to the office in two weeks. They’re my PCP. This has been done by every previous PCP I’ve ever had. They won’t write one without seeing me first. FOR A YEAST INFECTION. For a woman with an established history of them!
Yea, changing my PCP as soon as I’m back in town. Maybe use these guys in a pinch — for the «Urgent» side of things, but absolutely do not use them as your PCP.

Who loves going to doctor?
I don’t. But sometimes we have to do what we need to do. Other than a regular check up I do not wish to come to any primary care, hospital or immediate care.
Getting sick is never fun. I come here the first time when got injured during the snow storm a few years ago. Meet doctor Roscoe who was taking care of me for immediate care assistance at that time. I was avoiding ER, I don’t want to go to ER at any hospital ever again, as the view of the ER room is so devastating. We all know it. :) Great thing is God still love me, I stay whole nothing was broken. :)
The second time I come here, as I was not feeling well during winter time.
Not too bad for getting in and out quickly without being desperate for waiting too long. Flipping those fashion magazine or simply watching the news the flat screen TV on the front waiting room. :)

Working with computers, I’m always online; that’s why I loved that I could make an appointment via this office’s website. They send you confirmation notices and reminders, as well.
Went in for a check-​up, my first check up ever as an adult, really, as I (fairly) recently got insurance through my job. The office was quiet and clean but the girl at the front desk was robotic, at best. I won’t say she was impolite, but she could have been much more courteous and friendly when patients– myself included– came in and addressed her.
The wait time with an appointment was almost nothing, maybe 15 minutes. This is in stark contrast to my wife’s, which was well over 30 minutes. I suspect if you’re seeing a female doctor, you may suffer long wait times.
All other employees (doctors and nurses) were extremely polite and efficient. The young female doctor (in training, I think she said) was a pleasure to deal with, thorough and professional. In less than a week, got blood test results back via a phone call from the office. All in all, a well good experience.

I’ve had great service in the past at this place, and typically go here for convenient location vs my Primary Care Physician. However, if you need anything done that requires any sort of follow up I would highly recommend avoiding this place like the plague. I went in April 4 to have some blood tests run, which normally take about three days. I had to call 5 times to check up on the results and got different answers from the MAs about whether or not the results had even been received, but that «a doctor will review and follow up immediately.» It’s now April 11, a week later, and I haven’t received any sort of communication. I called only to be told that they have the results as of yesterday (I’d previously been told they had them Wednesday, but not Thursday), but there’s no doctor actually in the building, even though they’ve been open for some time this morning.
A really poor experience overall. I won’t ever go back to these guys.

I’m giving 2 stars because of a billing debacle. However, I give 4 – 5 stars for their lounge/​waiting area cleanliness, professional desk check-​in and very attentive doctor, Dr Yin Naing. I went there for what turned out to be a sinus infection. My first in my 48 years. Extreme sinus pain and she solved it with a prescription. I paid my $ 20 co-​pay and from 12÷16÷14 to present day, continue to receive bills from the GWU billing office for the balance. The billing office has an email, which in theory would make contesting bills easy. I emailed. They replied in Jan/​Feb and said, «oops» we’ll correct. And then last night, 3÷19÷15, another bill in the mail for the balance. wtf? good location, clean, good doctors, but billing… please!!!

I don’t have a primary care doctor so whenever I am under the weather I go to DC Immediate and primary care. I have referred my friends and they agree that this is a great facility. (I thought I reviewed them before).

Absolutely horrible front desk, but good doctors and nurses in the back. Please, don’t let such a good team of medical professionals go to waste due to such horrible receptionists. Streamline your front desk service or just get a new team. I’m very tempted not to come back here just because of the terrible experience I had with the front desk and I am usually able to tolerate bad customer service, but this was unacceptable.
1. First call asking how much my copay was: the receptionist made me hold for ten minutes and then HUNG UP on me.
2. Second call asking how much my copay was: the receptionist said they would call me back in ten minutes and never did.
3. Arrived at the office at 2:15 for my 2:30 appointment and was seen by a doctor at 3:30. The doctor (not receptionist) then apologized and notified me that the front desk had forgotten that I had made an appointment despite the fact that I had checked in the moment and confirmed I was here for my appointment at 2:15???

Everything wrong with the American healthcare system is exemplified here. Every time I’ve come here, i feel like I’m no a conveyer belt where each person takes a superficial look at me then passes me on to the next person. At no point do you ever receive any personal care or attention that is the hallmark of preventative care that could save your life.
I had a 1:30 appointment for a routine check up. By 3 pm I still had not been seen by the doctor– or the intern or physicians assistant because you never actually see the one doctor on duty. I had to leave to catch a flight so I asked them to cancel my appointment since it clearly was not a priority for them after making me wait for 2 hours. A few weeks later I get a bill for the doctor’s vista that never happened. Their priorities are clear her and your health is not one of them…

I have been here twice for medical needs. My symptoms were not serious enough for the ER, but I didn’t want to wait until Monday to see my doctor. DC Immediate and Primary Care was the perfect in between.
PROS:
–Right next to Cleveland Park metro. Very easy to get to.
–Open late. I was able to come after work and get treated the same day.
–They take walk ins. I have never made an appointment here.
–Friendly and knowledgeable medical staff. I have always been satisfied by the professionals that have treated me.
CONS:
–Wait time for walk-​ins is usually over an hour. It depends on the time of day (I recommend getting here early on the weekend or during work hours during the week). They stop taking walk-​ins about an hour and a half before closing and you can call and ask how long the wait time is.

Recommended by a friend. Told to go to an urgent care place in DC ASAP for some xrays by my office clinic.
Am I the only DC resident who thinks «urgent care center» and «DC» are not «phrases that win combination competitions»?

Who gets scabies a week before they stay in a hostel in New Orleans? Isn’t that something you’re supposed to contract in New Orleans?
The mysterious nature of my ailment aside, I had «the itch» all over my hands and feet bad last week. Knowing this place was open until 10:00 p.m., I figured they could diagnose me and get me the prescription I needed for sweet relief without waiting for my real doctor!
While the late night nature of this facility is wonderful, I found it lacking some areas. First of all, the intake area is kind of a disaster. Not hospital emergency room chaos, but not exactly a well-​oiled machine either. Since the waiting area was nearly empty, an almost hour wait at 7:45 p.m. for triage was pretty crazy. Also they can not look up your insurance information so if you don’t bring your card, it’s an $ 85 charge for a visit (not a bad price, actually).
Once inside the treatment area, the whole appointment felt rushed (except for the waits). I saw an actual doctor for about two minutes. She was fast and in a relatively good mood but I’m not sure I felt she answered any questions I had. I left not even knowing what scabies was except for a pamphlet. But I did get to watch a private television in my examination suite while I waited so that was a plus.
In a pinch, this place seems sufficient. But I’m not going to use them as «substitute doctors» on a regular basis for sure.
