It’s a Krispy Kreme. The mere fact that I can’t get the goodness of KKD in the greater Baltimore area is enough to give this 5 stars. ;) But really, the staff was friendly and there was a lot of selection when I stopped by. It’s close to a metro stop too… bonus!

I love KK and am sad there aren’t many around. I would give this place five stars if they always had glazed donuts in stock. Went in tonight(Saturday) at 11:00 pm and asked for a couple glazed donuts and they said they wouldn’t have any more until tomorrow late morning. They only had a couple kinds of donuts available. This is at least the third time in a year they haven’t had any glazed donuts and that’s their speciality. A KK not having glazed donuts is like Starbucks telling me they are out of coffee.

I mean, it’s a KK, what on Earth would you complain about except the Hot Now Sign not being on? Get your butt here, eat a few doughnuts, and make your butt bigger. Don’t feel guilty, we all do it. The last time I was here, I had dinner in DuPont first, which came with a donut dessert, but there’s absolutely no way, one, meaning myself, can come to DuPont and not stop at KK. What kind of human being would I be, if I didn’t get a KK? I would judge myself, you don’t even have to. I only get the original glazed, because well… I appreciate the genuine, authentic, the original, the often imitated, but never duplicated, I don’t like fakes, ya feel me? I aint got time for it. Maybe one day I’ll try an apple fritter, to compare it to Shoppers fritters, but for now I’ma just keep getting high off them original glazes. I mean have you ever seen them come down the conveyor belt and glide underneath that glaze waterfall. *thug tear* It’s like watching porn, I’m seeing it all play out in my head now… but in slow motion… oooohhh right there! yep! That’s how I like it. *licks lips* Come to me baby!

I’d been craving(kraving?) a fresh Krispy Kreme doughnuts for months and luckily stumbled upon this gem on a night out in DC. Located right next to the top of escalator steps of the Dupont Circle Metro, this location is small, but serves a large variety of flavors. I went with the original glazed and it was warm, fluffy, and delightful. There’s also some seating for you to sit down and fully enjoy all of the sugary goodness!

Even though I don’t consume KKD, the staff today gets 5 for their customer service of AWESOMENESS! Dion(incase I’m incorrect, he looks like the younger version of Brandon Marshall) gave every last customer an enormous«welcome to KK& if you know what you want come to the counter please«greeting. & when I pose that special Vegan inquiry, he was quick on his dough draw by letting me know they had Kosher, yet no Vegan… Krispy Kudos to him for knowing. His jokingly side came out as he let me know the only Vegan products were the drinks… wise guy! My daughter decided on their signature glazed, hole in the middle treat. I saw the cup of doughnuts that displayed a &.99 sign. Yet again, he was quick to explain the need to purchase a bigger quantity to get the special price, so she copped 1& was very satisfied. We actually saw the doughnuts being made & stacked with precision & watch the infamous sign illuminate to the redness they are so famous for. The store was in immaculate order & very tidy. I dig seeing their patriotic effort with the US Flag inserted in the middle of the lobby. As my daughter delighted in her hole-y than thou deliciousness of decadence, she schooled me on today being Alice Paul, the Women’s Rights Activist birthday. Glad to see she was awake in her history classes LOL. With a slight wit of honoring, I told her due to the suffrage of us women, get another doughnut on her behalf… she hurriedly inclined. Not sure if it was due to the red light getting close to shutting off or the treat of consuming 2 doughnuts in 1 setting. Either course, it was a cool visit with awesome customer service.

It’s almost 7am and the store is dark. Racks of donuts are sitting outside the door waiting to be brought in from the cold. I’m guessing someone’s about to get fired for not showing up this morning.

I have gone in this store twice, Both times early in the morning. Each time there is massive confusion and it was very difficult to order anything. There are other donut shops in the city, with far better customer service.

Oh man, what is up with this Krispy Kreme? When you arrive, you will inevitably see five employees at work. However, using the term«working» is really generous. One works, four stand around. That open cash register that could assist the 10 person line? Sorry, folks! That is décor only! Donut service? Oh, you must have confused this with another Krispy Kreme where they serve the donuts you are salivating over. This place is a great location if you want to stand in line for 20 minutes and then throw up your hands and go on your merry way. I have attempted to buy donuts here three times(that darn«Hot and Ready» sign is ALWAYS on and beaconing). No success yet. Thank you, Krispy Kreme for curbing my donut craving.

Always nice to have hot, fresh doughnuts after a long night out! Open 24 hours! and just a coincidence that they’re always making a new batch every time we go there!

When you’re in the neighborhood and you see a KK, you gots to go! Ordering is a breeze though you may not be able to make up your mind when you get there. We only go to KK when we are out of NJ as it’s not the same. Their doughnuts are soooo good and soooo bad! Haha! But you can’t resist the double K! Just go, they’re calling your name! Give in to temptation! YUM!!!

It’s a krispy kreme and outside of their standard Sugar filling fatty goodness doughnuts. There isn’t much to set this place apart other than the HOTNOW sign that’s lit up on the side of the place. I mean really… that’s the only reason why I am writing this. Otherwise I would have spared myself the time it takes to type this. Have you ever had a fresh and hot glazed doughnuts No? Then you absolutely must. Sure it’s sweet. Sure it’s bad for you. But d@mnit it’s like heaven in your mouth. It literally melts in your mouth and is absolutely delicious. Also great for a drunken spot on a friday or Saturday night :)

After brunch, I wanted something a little sweet. So, I stopped before getting on the metro(DuPont Circle) because how many times can you get fresh off the line donuts. The guy was happy to make me a fresh hot donut and said that it would only take 2 minutes. I patiently waited and paid my 1.09. I got the original glazed. Wow. Soft and pillowy(is that a word). Melt in your mouth. A little too sweet for me but at get it. Get yourself a hot and fresh donut… at least once!

I’ll always love Krispy Kreme til I die especially after tonight! After going to the Big Hunt, I went over to Krispy Kreme for a few donuts. I asked the guy at the donut counter if the apple fritters had cinammon because I love cinammon, but he said they don’t(even though they blatantly look covered in cinammon) so I got the cinammon filled donut! While I already gulfed down two donuts in my drunkeness, the same guy tells me that there is cinammon in the fritters and apologized by giving me a free apple fritter! Even though it was a weird situation to start, they were really nice about me getting my apple fritter donut fill and also let me take as much Krispy Kreme hats as I wanted. Excuse the constant use of cinammon btw, this ain’t the cinammon challenge, but it is my journey to finally eating their Apple fritter – which was really tasty and had a lot of cinammon and apple flavor! The location is small, but hey, they care! HUGE Kudos to them heating my fritter too without me asking. Now, Thats what I call service!!!

This location is open again after a recent renovation. The inside of the store is bright and new, but the setup is still the same as it was pre-renovation. It’s located conveniently next to the Dupont Circle metro exit and is the only store as of now inside the District. A bit too sugary and sweet for my taste, but I’ll have one of their doughnuts if a colleague brings a box to the office.

I don’t normally see the point in writing reviews for chains, but this Krispy Kreme is my jam! They’re open 24hrs on the weekend and there is NOTHING better than ending a night out with two hot, fresh donuts. If you’re out anywhere even remotely close to DuPont(everywhere), you owe it to yourself to get a donut or two before calling it a night(or a dozen, because WHYNOT? and who doesn’t like waking up hungover with breakfast already ready?). It’s conveniently located right across from one of the Metro escalators(ride down the escalators while eating donuts!). Service is quick and friendly and when the bright red«Hot and Fresh» light is on, you can’t miss this place from anywhere inside the Circle.

I just love their donuts! My wife and I prefer their cinnamon bun, regular glazed, and chocolate glazed. However, donuts are all about personal preference. What’s also important is that this location has a friendly staff. Remember though, they’re overworked and often under appreciated! Take a moment to chat with them and show them kindness and patience, and you’ll find that they’re more than happy to run a warm batch of glazed donuts for you. It doesn’t seem there’s ever an hour this location isn’t busy, so their staff is always on the go. They’re quick and efficient even during the busiest of times though. Now, the tables aren’t generally clean, and the floors need to be mopped much of the time, but other than that, I look forward to every single visit. They pay attention to what matters, THEDONUTS!!!

The Fresh Donut light is like the Bat signal to me. When they light it up, I know to come running as there are hot donuts that need to be saved from the Krispy Kreme. Keep it simple, you only need to order the glazed, and they have to be right off the conveyor belt. Wait around until they make more if you have to, it is worth experiencing the melting in your mouth texture of a freshly made Krispy Kreme glazed donut. Truly one of life’s great pleasures. Throw down your kale and embrace Americana with Krispy Kreme.

Okay, it’s hard to get a small, donut shop wrong, but this one is a good one. It’s small, but at a great location just off Dupont Circle and next to a Metro station. Here’s what counts: the donuts are FRESH here. If you know Krispy Kremes, you know they have a short half-life. You don’t want an old one, they«go off» pretty quickly! So get one here and KILLIT while you walk. You won’t be sorry. CAUTION: Do not get a half-dozen glazed KKs and down them in one sitting(or standing, or walking). They are small, light, and easy to devour. Beware — it’s easy to suck down a few too many, which can lead to a «why did I do that» feeling for a couple of hours…

This is a smaller KK location than most but is easily walkable from anywhere in NWDC and right at the metro, which makes it much more convenient than a trek to the burbs. The service is friendly here, even if some of the employees sit and chill while one guy does all the work. He offered me a couple of free donut holes while getting my pumpkin cheesecake donut so he’s a-ok with me. BTW, the pumpkin cheesecake donut is pretty good but doesn’t have a strong pumpkin flavor like I expected so it’s enjoyable but not a must try. I’ve been here before and will be here again, coffee is decent too during the long, arctic DC winters.
