Everything is absolutely fresh, lots of awesome juice and veggie and spice combos you’d never think of yourself. Super healthy, fairly priced and great service. Do your part to prevent scurvy and get some fresh-squeezed juice! When I was there they did a promotion with Freshii for 10% off your meal which was cool.

**** 3.5 stars **** If you’re looking for a healthy option during lunch it doesn’t get much more genuine than having fruits and vegetables squeezed right in front of you to make a nice vitamin packed juice. This truck preaches the value of fresh squeezed juices over the store-bought kinds that are heated up to the point where they lose so many of their vital nutrients, part of the reason you bought them in the first place. Supposedly they will be offering soups in the future as well, but for now your only options are a rotating list of juice concoctions. With some of these items(beets, kale, etc) it’s naturally a bit difficult to get them tasting«good» for the average consumer, so I guess they’re fortunate the average consumer probably isn’t going to stop here. In fact, I passed up my favorite food truck sandwich in DC, the«pan con lechon» from El Floridano, just to give them a taste. In retrospect, I wish I had spent the $ 7 there instead of the $ 11 for two juices here, but at least I got some much needed vitamin C during this never ending cold season in DC. What Juice Revolution has opted to do is keep the drinks pretty simple, no syrups or sweeteners added, just a bit of ginger which they are nice enough to ask if you want light, medium, or heavy. This does a decent job of mediating the flavors, in a similar way salt ties together a savory dish. I decided to try 2 drinks, just to give them a fair review, and because I knew that one of them would do little in satiating my lunch belly demon. The«Carrotini»($ 5) doesn’t contain alcohol, as the name might suggest, but is a basic combination of carrots, oranges, and ginger. The carrot flavor dominates mostly, and I really didn’t notice the orange except for the twinge of acidity. Overall it was pretty drinkable but not something I would want too much of. The«Green Ohm»($ 6) has kale, cucumber, apple, and ginger, and was a bit more enjoyable than the first drink. It’s designed to be an energy booster according to the sign, and definitely had a pleasant refreshing taste, maybe due to the increased amount of ginger I requested. I’m not quite sure I’m ready to join the Revolution just yet. While these drinks are good(in the«yeah that’s OK» kind of way), the cups size is pretty small for what you pay(for $ 6 I can buy a huge bottle of Bolthouse from Whole Foods), and it really seems like more of a snack or additive than an actual lunch. Hopefully they get the soups in soon. It would be nice if they had just a minor solid item as well just for a textural change, but I don’t really knock them for it since the name has juice right in it. As of right now they aren’t accepting credit cards, although there are plans to possibly start once business picks up.
