Never again. I used to like this quaint little place. I went in an ordered a western omelette and a bagel with butter. The order taker kept asking 1 order or 2 orders. I thought she meant do I want 2 orders of a western omelette and a bagel. So I said no I want only 1 order. So I pay and a few minutes later she hands me a bagel. I then say where’s the omelette? She says well you said you only wanted 1 order. Clearly the staff has communication problems. Maybe an English class or two would be helpful. So the manager comes up just as confused as the order taker. I ended up cancelling and getting my money back. I had even tipped these guys after I paid, which I should have taken back. When I complained to the manager she said«I don’t care.» Well I won’t be back… This place sucks.

This place is a convenient coffee shop located at the intersection of Florida Ave and 28th street. It is a great place to grab snacks, muffins, cookies, and sandwiches. I love their sausage, egg and cheese sandwich on a croissant. Their coffee is decent too. There is seating inside, and a couple tables in a tiny alley(not a sketchy alley) next to the building where the coffee shop is located in. I know they also sell healthy juices and smoothies here too, it’s on my «To Try» list. I recommend checking this place out.

Me: I’d like my sandwich with only a little aioli, please. Girl taking my order: What’s aioli? I understand this isn’t Le Diplomate, but, c’mon.

Good selection of fresh juices, I got carrot, orange and ginger and was tasting good. It’s a bit suffocated inside the place, but the good thing is that they have a garden.

This place is tucked away, the only way I saw it was when I was talking by and noticed people drinking coffee and sitting down. There is a quaint, relaxing patio where people are drinking, reading, and doing work. Inside it’s small, yet organized. There are lovely options for simple breakfast, sandwiches, salads and drinks. I got the frozen Chai drink with skim milk. Its delicious! There is a $ 5 min. for using a card so make sure you bring cash. If I was hungry I would have gotten food. Everything looked clean and delicious. Next time I am in the area, I will definitely be back.

I go to Jolt ‘N Bolt pretty regularly because I love their chai. I do have to echo some of the other reviews in saying that the service isn’t always terrific. I don’t mind if my drink takes a bit longer to make, but sometimes the women behind the register are unbelievably rude.

I adore Jollt n Bolt. I have been a regular customer since 1994. Love the honey lemon tea. The staff is amazing. The quinoa oatmeal in the winter months is soul food for my tummy. Sandwiches are awesome too. Smoothies and desserts are great. Love the space.

Horrible attitude, painfully slow service, unpleasant experience. Darn it. I love local, but this place will not be happening again. Too many other options. PS– they do have almond milk if you care… that’s a plus

I keep hoping that this place will improve because I walk past it every single day on my way to work, but sadly it fails to deliver. The coffee is «meh» and the only food I can speak to are their bagels, which are fine when I’m in a rush and don’t have time to schlep up to So’s Your Mom.(Which is fantastic, btw.) What really makes me give this place 2 stars though is the service: I have never encountered a group of employees who so clearly hate what they’re doing/are all around miserable. Every time I go there the woman behind the counter stares blankly at me, is just short of surly, never smiles, and doesn’t event say«thank you» post-transaction. But what really got to me was the time I went in at about 7:10(they open at 7am) and was told I’d have to wait another 10 minutes before placing my order(it was just a coffee!) because the woman who opened the store«wasn’t ready». Needless to say I took my business elsewhere that morning and don’t plan on returning. Don’t advertise a 7am opening and unlock your doors if you aren’t ready to pour a cup of coffee! Here’s to hoping they get their act together so I can enjoy what should be a great neighborhood spot!

This place has cheap coffee and great ice chai, not to mention a nice alleyway patio that’s shielded from the sun. The cake slices they have here are huge and delicious! Unfortunately, it takes them forever to make drinks, and the inside smells like bleach whenever I go there. Prepare to stand in the bleach smell for a good long while if you order something that requires preparation or if there’s another person in front of you when you come in.

Terrible customer service, because I wasn’t ready to order the second I stepped in the door the worker walked off. It took me thirty seconds to decide on something, and another four minutes for the worker to look up and say, «Are you ready NOW?». This workers demeanor, much like the demeanor of a worker on a previous visit was un-welcoming. They also all tend to look at you like you’re the biggest inconvenience. If only I hadn’t walked up to the counter they would some how magically be one of those girls who married into money and didn’t have to do anything with their life. The first time I went I had a shake and a bagel. The bagel didn’t even taste like it came from a bakery, rather a bag from a grocery store. The second time my $ 4.89 order I had to leave behind because I didn’t meet the $ 5 credit card minimum. Here’s the trick small store owners, you look at your average transaction dollar amount(you SHOULD know this) and you raise the price slightly on the most common items. This should more than make up for your credit card fees. TL;DR: Blah food, Long wait, Terrible service.

Good food, but don’t expect them to really be serving at 7am. May have to wait 20 – 30 for them to be ready to take orders.

The menu said fresh lemonade but when I was walking out, the door to the kitchen was wide open and I saw a massive jar of Countrytime lemonade powder. One taste of my drink confirmed it. What a ripoff. Nice outdoor space but with quality like that I won’t be returning.

This place reminds me of a convenience store without all of the processed foods, maybe a bodega. The service at 8:40 this morning was prompt. The iced tea was very much over-steeped, while the latte was similar to the quality and flavor profile you’d expect from Saxby’s. With that said, they have a lot of items on their menu that pair well with tapioca pearls/boba(torani syrups, juices, teas, smoothies). There really aren’t any boba options in the area, and serving boba could help this place find a niche and stay relevant.

Jolt n bolt is a great place to go for iced coffee. I do not particularly like their hot coffee and have never tried their more fancy drinks. There are a few downsides, such as long wait times at certain hours and that people don’t always stay just one hour they set up shop for like a hundred hours, but if you hit the sweet spot its a great find. They have a cute courtyard area that you can enjoy in the summertime. If you’re like me and try to stay out of the sun, the shade in the courtyard is perfect! Oh and did I mention the amazing ice coffee?!? GETIT:)

Jolt ‘N Bolt is quick and easy. They have a great selection of pastries, ready made meals, and not to mention an extensive list of delicious smoothies and protein shakes. The one downside about the shake menu is that there is only one size and it is way too big for me! My favorite would have to be the Protein pack– they’re all delicious and you should definitely try them. If you are a Belly user, this place accepts Belly! Definite plus. When I have come here for food, I usually get the mozzarella and tomato on flat bread or the chicken florentine. It’s a good snack but usually not that filling. I have come here and gotten the chicken mango salsa salad and it was not good at all. I think it’s a hit or miss with food.

I love Jolt n Bolt. They have delicious breakfast sandwiches, awesome smoothies, and decent espresso based coffee drinks. :) I come here all the time, and I’ve never been disappointed. I don’t know where they get their bagels from, but they are pretty good. Definitely worth a stop on your morning commute!

Review based off smoothie only, It was of good quality. I was very happy with the size and flavor. I got a peach mango, had all the flavor I wanted and did not taste watered down. Its a little small inside but they have seating outside and its close to other places. I would check them out, they seemed like a nice place.

2 stars for poor customer service. I waited at the counter for 5 minutes with no acknowledgement even though the woman at the counter saw me as she left the counter and came back. It wasn’t busy at all, but I had to say«excuse me, may I please order?» The counter girl gave me a rude look. I ordered a drink and a muffin. I got my drink but I had to remind the counter girl about the muffin. My pomegranate lemonade was delicious but the muffin was kind of dry. Disappointing experience, especially since I work in this area and was looking forward to having a local coffee house to go to.
