Like others have said, I’m very disappointed. I went to Frederich Cleaners this morning on my walk to the metro to drop off two items: a secondhand peacoat(one I paid no more than $ 20!) and a sheath dress. I was absolutely shocked to see the cost estimate(a total of $ 50!). I was in a rush to work, so I just went ahead with it. They charged me $ 15 for just the matching belt with the dress! By far, the best example of a business gouging your wallet. I will be wiser next time and check Unilocal reviews PRIOR to patronizing other dry cleaners. Frederich, shame on you! They should be reported to the BBB, imo.

Sadly, another bad review of this place! I’ve been taking my stuff here for almost 3 years and while it always seemed grossly overpriced, they do a decent enough job, cleaning, tailoring, etc. This time, however, when my husband went to pick the clothes up, they overcharged him $ 32.00. When I complained, they did not want to give me my $ back, although they admitted it was their mistake. I finally got them to give me a credit — the least they could do.

Can easily be twice the price of any other cleaner. Plus the«plant of premise» painted on the building is not true. Do not go here.

Terrible experience. Just moved to Takoma and they lost a pair of my pants that belonged to a suit. I needed the pants hemmed and I called and want back asking them to double check, but they refused. Am never going back.

They charged me $ 50 to get my winter coat cleaned, and to get a new zipper line put on(the zipper broke off last season, and since some of the teeth went with you can’t just slap a new one on). I got the jacket back just as covered with cat hair as when I dropped it off. It’s pretty clear they replaced the zipper as quickly and as cheaply as possible. The zipper of far lower quality than the one originally on the jacket, and it’s not evenly sewed on. Save your cash and support a local business that gives a damn.

Went once and am never going back. They charge ridiculous prices — almost $ 8 apiece for each item that’s dry cleaned. Just not worth it.

Unfortunately this is one of those cleaners where I drop off something and then pay $ 12 to pick up the item in the same condition as when I dropped it off. Very dissapointing and I do not recommend.
