Eden DC

This place is the fucking pits. We got tickets for a complimentary open bar from 10:00 to 11:00. We get there at 10:00 not open… fine we wait… 15 minutes later we get in order two drinks and find out the open bar is from 11:00 to 12:00. My wonderful husband pays for the drinks… I would have walked out. So what did I learn this place sucks and falsely advertises promotions. Stay the fuck away.
I will say the bartender offered us two shots, but shit it’s principle.

Do not go without table reservations for NYE. We bought tickets online because Eden stated they’d have champagne toast, photo booth, open bar and food for 2 hours. We did not get any of the above! What a huge scam!
We got there by taxi, walked up to the door and were told to wait in the line that spanned the entire block. Why did we buy tickets in advance if we had to wait in line still? Only people with table reservations didn’t have to wait in line. We were waiting in line by 9pm, did not get in until 10:30pm after the open bar & food ended. Open food and bar was 8−10pm. Fine, did not care too much about food because had dinner before hand which was a good choice. Not happy about waiting in line for 1.5 hours when tickets were purchased in advance. They did not want people in for the promotional food and drinks.
Coat check sign was at the 2^nd/​3^rd floor but actual coat check was on the 1^st floor. So had to walk all the way back down through the masses to get the coats checked. Roof top was covered so we couldn’t see the sky and many people were smoking. They should not allow smoking without proper ventilation.
Looked on all floors for the photo booth but it was no where to be found. None of the employees knew what I was talking about. I bought the tickets online on a dc events website which Eden stated there would be a photo booth. Then midnight rolls around, the tables had champagne but no one else had any. We went to the bar to ask, the bartenders said they ran out. How can a bar run out of champagne for people who purchased tickets in advance?!
We were not at all happy with our experience. It was the worst NYE party ever! Luckily I was with a loved one and in the end, love is what mattered most. Never going to Eden again for an event like this.

I have never had a great time at Eden. Rude staff, tacky décor, overpriced drinks. Honestly I’m not sure why people continue to go here.

I’d leave zero stars if I could.
We went as part of a pub crawl and they decided not to honor the pub crawl ticket and tried to charge us an additional $ 20 on top of the $ 30 we already paid for the crawl. When I tried to show the bouncer the pub crawl ticket, he called me a derogatory name and told me to leave the line before he called the police.
I called to speak to a manager. The manager came down and told me the same thing. That they decided to not honor the pub crawl and to refuse my group entry even if we decided to pay the additional cover because we were «belligerent.»
I admit, I raised my voice with the bouncer after he called me a f***ing b***h as I demanded to speak to his boss. But I was in no means trying to cause a scene in the manner the manager suggested.
Thankfully this happened before I gave this scummy place any of my money. They don’t deserve my business and they don’t deserve to be on pub crawl maps any longer.
I’ll never go here and actually grant them my hard-​earned money because of the way this bouncer and manager treated me. Cursing out a customer is absolutely unacceptable behavior. They should be ashamed of themselves.
I doubt this negative review will change a thing, but I am also contacting the organizers of the pub crawl they refused to honor in the hopes they lose future opportunities to waste people’s time and money by attracting business in this way.
The Bottom Line is a small bar next door. Go there instead.

I’ve been here with my friends a few times. Not worth it.
The place is kind of cool, that it has like 4 floors or whatever many floors they have, but it can be at times a little intolerable, just kidding VERY intolerable.
I’ll put it this way, awkward dance music, OVERPRICED drinks, rude bartenders, digusting men who stand in corners and undress women (or men) with their eyes, stupid 20 $ cover charge.
And lately they have been closing off the two floors of the club, so you only get to dance on the rooftop which is fun, but I’d rather have the option of going to other floors, so I can dance with my friends and not being bombarded by random weirdos.

Scam. Two double Jin and tonic cost me $ 57. wHat the hell. Complete scam. Will never go back. Cocktails were also sick

Horrible place I ever seen in my life, no crowd and Drinks are so expensive and DJ was also horrible. I would recommend all not to go this place. If entry is free still I will never go here.

The garden of Eden only had 2 people in it — which is not far off from Eden DC’s population.

The space is tiny. There are too many steep stairs. The rooftop is way too hot. It is way too crowed because the space is so limited. I feel like I never have fun when I go here :(

First off it’s like a mile to get up to the rooftop so you might as well just wear flats. Then, this place is TERRIBLY overpriced. I don’t mind paying for quality but that’s not what you get here. Their hookah is tiny, 52 $ and the only have 1 flavor to choose from — a mix of gummy bear and orgasm — it was the nastiest flavor I’ve ever tried!!! Cover is $ 20 each, even on a slow Monday night. Thumbs down for this one

This place blows. Went on a Saturday at 4:30pm for a free admission/​open bar event and the organizer had not arrived yet… bouncers tried to rip us off by charging us $ 20 cover — «$ 10 for da ladiez doe» LIKE HE WAS DOING US A FAVOR. Cover… at 4:30pm…on a Saturday… We came back later, got in for free (the previous bouncers were clearly trying to rip us off), the entire place was leaking, and it was COMPLETELY EMPTY minus one lame DJ and idiot bartenders who charged us for the drinks (what open bar???). Avoid this place at all costs.

Fun times on the rooftop. I gotta admit, the hike up to the party was a major turn off. I’m outta shape! However, it was worth it once we regained our normal breathing. Great mixed crowd. Seeing beautiful women sporting flat sandals im such am environment was refreshing coming from what can be considered as a pretentious South Florida. Open bar, professional (and easy on the eyes) bartenders weren’t shabby either!

They are CROOKS!!! Do not buy a table at this establishment because they will not honor their original agreement!!! Eff Nick and their crooked *** owners!!!

Tip: Ladies! (and/​or gents), wear your flats here! You’ll need to climb 4 steep flights of stairs to get to the airy rooftop. It’s a popular place to rent out for groups/​parties, too. Each level of the club has different DJ’s, depending on the weekend.
Low-​lit with neon lights in catchy blues and greens that go with the «eden» theme. It’s a sleek design — though not always the cleanest (watch for spills, so again with the flats or something you can walk in!).
I especially like the music from the DJ’s on the top floor; good beats mixed in with hip-​hop. The rooms are a bit narrow. You’re bound to do some bump and grinding… or moreso, the bumpin. On the night that I went, they were also offering free shots from a «dancing bear.» (see pic). Standard bar drinks; more liquor options than beer.
If you don’t come before midnight, cover is usually high $ 20. Sign up online for free cover!

I went to the «Last Friday Culinary Event,» and I couldn’t agree more with Renise W.‘s review!
There was no communication during the event. It seemed like a bait and switch tactic just to fill the club with a few more people.
For $ 45 (a $ 130 value), the event promised a sushi making class, hookah, BBQ, and 2 drink tickets (for 2).
Sushi making class: chefs behind the bar made some sushi (if u even saw), and then the manager handed out 1 piece to everyone
Hookah: Many tables (incl. us) didn’t even get one b/​c we didn’t know to ask, and when we did, they were «sold out»
BBQ: potstickers & fried balls sat on the edge of one side of the bar (if you happened to see them)
Drinks: 2 tickets each — the only thing advertised that we got!
So we walked away with 2 drinks and 1 piece of sushi each for $ 45. Not happy.

There is a reason this place has been running for so long, it’s a great spot for a night out. I usually bounce around the city but always end up here at the end of the night. Crowd is steady and drinks are priced fair for a club/​lounge in the city.
Five Stars

Probably THE WORST thing you can do is double sell your table when me and 14 of my girlfriends choose to honor your establishment with our presence during one of my girlfriend’s bachelorette parties! Seriously, not only is it embarrassing to me and the other co-​host when you walk over to us in front of out guest of honor and ask us if we want to beat out the other buyer by adding more bottles to our tab… Umm…WHAT? Are you serious? Because there are literally five hundred other venues we could’ve started our night at! My bride to be witnessed the entire conversation and even offered to pay for two extra bottles that we didn’t need. We are a group of beautiful, hard working women and we planned a wonderful evening for our friend. Needless to say, we will never be choosing this venue for a once-​in-​a-​lifetime event ever, ever again.
Aside from that, if your thighs are strong enough to make it up all 42 stairs, then the view is spectacular. But I’ll never recommend their table service ever again.

DC Night Life: Friday night was awesome at Eden night club
DC Night life! Eden has a lot of different spaces and dance floors. There’s an open-​air bar called the rooptop and a dance floor too. The party doesn’t really get started until well after midnight.
The crowd was a dichotomous mix of locals and international partygoers. Culturally, it was interesting to take in. I realy enjoyed my time here and will be back again.

I came here a few months ago. It was ok. The only reason I stayed was because a friend got us in for free and we were a the VIP section upstairs. Eden was over crowed on that night with inconsiderate people and the music is not that good.
Positive are the whiskey sours were tasty, the bathroom is nice with privacy doors, and the bathroom attendance was super awesome. He really made sure the bathroom stayed clean. Oh yes I said a he, because the 2^nd floor bathroom is unisex. i doubt I would come here again.
