Danny is one of the most skilled craftsmen I have known – he is an artist to be sure! Super pleasurable to work with, his studio is very relaxing yet very conveniently located. And his wonderfully friendly personality makes the time pass just so smoothly.
Highly recommended. Superb skills from an artist at very reasonable prices.

The first time I went to Danny as I sat down in the chair he said «you’ve had an awful cut. It will take me three cuts to make it better.» The first sentence was absolutely true — and I felt such a sense of relief when he said those words. But the second sentence was false: it looked great the moment he was done — although it’s true that nowadays it looks even better. Danny is fabulous. He has clients who have been seeing him for over two decades.

Fellow Unilocalers, just an FYI for y’all who were thinking of trying Tucker Reilly based on the reviews: Tucker is no longer at Danny’s Hair Studio. (He’s now at Last Tangle).
Danny’s Hair Studio is very gracious /​top drawer peeps, because they didn’t hesitate to help me get in contact with Mr. Reilly. Very classy. :)

I would never have found this place except that I was following my long-​time stylist Tucker Reilly, there. Clean and quiet, the salon is pleasant, but it’s Tucker I come here for. He’s awesome and his prices are far, far below other stylists of his caliber in DC. That and he’s a scream – nice to be entertained while being primped!

Danny’s is the best! Courteous, he listened to the look I was hoping accomplish, made a couple of useful suggestions, and away he went. I came away feeling confident that I had a first class hair cut. Didn’t cost me a fortune either. Definitely will be back!

danny is a true artist. he gives the BEST haircuts. the studio is the best kept secret in DC as far as i am concerned. danny cut my hair for years when i lived in dc. he has never advertised, his business is completely word of mouth. he is an award-​winning stylist with a humble presence and a kind heart. and his haircuts are the best.

Tucker is a superstar stylist, but without the pretentious snottiness to be found in so many DC /​Georgetown Salons. His attitude of really caring for his clients is just great. And he does the best blowdrys ever!

This hair salon is a true find, and you really have to look around to find it as it is discreetly tucked away above retail and office space on Connecticut Avenue. Tucker gave me a chic and sophisticated look that rivals any fancy Georgetown salon. Plus, the personal attention is so worth going to him. You can tell he really cares about making his clients look and feel good. I may never go anywhere else.
