One and a half stars. Stopped in after a zoo stroll but what I found would offend Ron Swanson. I’ve seen liquor stores with the same limited real estate apply better inventory proportions. Polite counter staff. Not a bad source for mainstream clear liquors. Whiskey selection is extremely limited, and I can’t fathom drinking wine that’s been kept in such a warm space for any length of time. Temperature control isn’t something I like to skimp on. I can snag better prices elsewhere from superior storage conditions.

It’s a decent neighborhood(apartment building?) liquor store, but nothing too special as far as I can tell. It’s in a tight space so it’s not a store for browsing or exploring, and I like liquor stores in which I can wander anonymously. All the liquor is behind the counter, and I feel this puts me under too much pressure. The prices are a tick higher here as well. It’s fine for spur-of-the-moment purchases, but for your weekly alcohol shopping there are larger stores in Cleveland Park and Woodley Park.
