I’m a huge chicken Cesar salad eater! This place has one of the best chicken Caesar warps! It is super cute in the inside and even had a covered outdoor patio! Definitely check it out of you like small family run restaurants!

Ordered 2 smoked salmon wrap and a salad. Paid $ 30 including tip. Wondered if there was any smoked salmon in the sandwiches. It looks like a tomato with seafood sauce wrap. Expected a better quality food.

I work down the street so while on my lunch break I decided to venture in. My chicken caprese melt panini was huge and delicious. Very reasonably priced for the neighborhood and friendly customer service!

Okay I am SERIOUSLY obsessed with Café Tu-O-Tu. A wonderful inexpensive place to get a delicious quick bite in Georgetown, I mean what could be better?! Located at the base of M street on the Georgetown strip(GW end) the café has plenty of seating, friendly staff and some DELICIOUS food! As an ex vegan and a total veg-head I am a salad super snob. Needless to say their salads continue to blow my mind. Their salads are pre-prepared and sit in a refrigerated area near the door entrance so you can easily see your options. Because the salads are pre-prepared you can’t customize them besides adding protein if you wish to do so. Regardless, they have so many choices that you should be able to find something that you like. The best part about their salads is most definitely their salad dressing. Now that is a recipe I would kill to have! It is the best dressing I have ever had! In addition, their salads also come with a roll which is again is somehow extremely good. All in all, Café Tu-O-Tu does fast, affordable meals right.

Pretty decent place if you need somewhere 1. not crowded 2. cheap 3. has a lot of variety on the menu. Any type of café food/sandwiches you want, they’ve got it. They have a good enclosed seating area in the back with outlets to plug in a laptop or charge your phone, as well as tables out front if you’d like to people-watch. It’s situated a little far away from the insanity on M Street in Georgetown, so that’s nice. Service was pretty fast and the restrooms were customers-only but clean and pleasant(they’re downstairs FYI). They did substitutions no problem(ham instead of bacon in my sandwich) and you can take everything to-go. Nice independent business to patronize and a good choice if you’re looking for a quick lunch or a snack in the Georgetown area, certainly cheaper than the Le Pain Quotidien across the street and with more variety, although it has a different aesthetic I guess.

After nearly a decade living in DC, I moved closer to Georgetown which opened up an entire new area of the District to explore from a neighborhood resident perspective. Saying this, I’ve visited Georgetown dozens of times, but never stopped by this business which book-ends what’s officially«M street Georgetown» — But, after stopping by Suit Supply(slick, modern haberdashery) which is on the same block, I decided to stop by Café Tu-o-Tu for a quick bite. This cute, boutique Mediterranean restaurant with outside seating & private rear-seating serves up AMAZING, fresh and delicious Turkish dishes. This place was the perfect lunch stop when my girlfriend & I were looking something healthy & quick to eat. Again, I cannot stess enough how fresh the food is, it’s hard to believe I never visited before, but after experiencing this level of quality, I’ll be visiting more often. For tourists visiting DC, if you’re staying at the Four Seasons, make a stop here before leaving the city. TIP: Highly suggest the Kofte Sandwich. It’s the Turkish equalivlant of a greek Gyro on pita bread, but WAY better. These lamb patties are lean, and less greasy. * Included a picture.

The food is good but incredibly overpriced for what it is. They always skimp out on the good(or more expensive) pieces of the salads or sandwiches. So for instance, I’ve had motz-based salads with 3 motz balls in it total! Or salads where avocado is listed a prime ingredient, I’ll be lucky to see a 1⁄3 of one in the salad. On a more recent trip my friend asked for salmon(as her protein addition). For $ 3 extra dollars she got a single, small slice of smoked salmon. Apparently this is where they make their margin. So if you are on a business trip and on the company dime go for it! If not, go across the street to any number of other places to get more value for your money.

Great place in georgetown that has good fresh food at a great price. The combo was only 10 bucks. I could smell the food from outside the café which is always a good sign. They have fresh pastas and soup everyday and you can get half and half. They have the classic sandwhiches and turkish specialities such as dessert baklava. And they have the most gigantic cookies! Nice seating area outside as well. Great place to people watch and will def visit again!

Amazing köfte sandwich, really tasty and juicy meat with simple condiments such as cucumbers tomatoes and onions. The spinach artichoke salad was not less than the sandwich, but my favourite was the dolmas(stuffed grape leaves). They were just the right amount of over cooked(just like the Turkish way) with some dried kumquat and pine nuts, very traditional yet interesting if you aren’t familiar with the cuisine. The staff is very friendly and the ambiance is casual yet cozy. The owner was so kind and smiley.

Excellent kofte and a real Georgetown gem. Paninis and espresso gives this spot a real good slice of Turkish and Mediterranean feel. The only thing missing from the menu is a delicious doner kebab, which I would order in a heartbeat. Love the back porch but beware it will be full at lunch times! Would for sure recommend.

First time here, first time in DC& I’m glad I walked into this café. It’s definitely mom & pop, family owned. Fast service. I stood in a line behind about 6 people, and it only took about 5 – 7 mins before it got to me. I was also watching them hand other people their orders and they make everything real fast. It’s definitely a perfect place for a pick-me-up-to-go lunch spot. I didn’t order anything fancy. But I got a Vitali: Bagel, creamcheese, smoked salmon & capers. About $ 6. Maybe it’s on the pricey end for a bagel sandwich, but what can you expect in the city.

I work down the street and am an extremely frequent customer of Tu O Tu – I have probably eaten here more than 50 times over the past year. I love it. The line can get a bit long during the lunch rush, so it is best to call ahead. THEBESTTHINGONTHEMENU is by FAR the Mino’s sandwich. Just trust me. Nobody believed me at first, but now my whole office can’t order anything else. You’re welcome.

I just stopped in here one day for a bite before an event I was attending in the area. I ordered the chicken hummus wrap and was pleased by how fresh the vegetables were. Actually, the wrap was great for all of its constituent parts: the chicken was tender(but not overcooked) and well-seasoned, and the hummus tasted as if it may have been made in-house. It’s a nice, quiet place and has a few outdoor tables as well. If I’m in the neighborhood again, I’ll probably go back.

Speedy service; I ordered downstairs and waited upstairs where the tables were. They delivered my food upstairs to me, within 5 – 10 minutes. This place is the size of a shoe box… literally. So finding a seat during lunch hours may be quite a challenge. Came here to grab a quick lunch with a girlfriend, after we read the reviews saying how great this place is. Frankly, neither she or I enjoyed it very much. People are definitely hyping this place up. My panini was very ordinary, nothing special or different, except the bread. The bread was much thinner than any panini bread I’ve had and was also crispy. It just didn’t amaze me… I also tried their Turkish dessert; Baklava. This was actually worth trying– pistachio and honey makes a great combo! however, it was a bit soggy from being soaked in honey. My friend ordered their mango salad– she did not enjoy it at all and basically left the whole bowl untouched. I probably will not be returning… why return for barely average food?

If you are looking for a quick bite to eat, Café Tu-O-Tu is the perfect place for you! They offer good quality food for cheap, considering the prices at other restaurants in the area. Each order(whether it is a panini or wrap or scrambled eggs) is freshly prepared and delivered to your table. As a whole, we ordered a fusion panini, a chicken salad wrap, and a chicken hummus wrap. All of these were DELICIOUS. This may be the hunger talking — we headed straight to Tu-O-Tu after a 2-hour round-trip hike to the National Mall — but I thought all of the combinations were fantastic. What stood out to me the most was definitely the freshness of the ingredients: vegetables, condiments, and meats alike. ALL of them. Thanks, Café Tu-O-Tu! Hope to see you soon. :)

Love Café Tu-O-Tu! Great for take out, and it is a nice little café if you want to sit in as well. They deliver, though there is a $ 20 minimum. Perfect if you have an office that isn’t too far! I always go with the caprese panini, and it is excellent. Would highly recommend it!

Café Tu-O-Tu is a convenient little café located in Georgetown(closer to the Foggy Bottom side of M Street). They have a nice selection of Mediterranean(and other) salads, sandwiches, and wraps. I ordered the chicken salad wrap(grilled Chicken Strips, Avocado, Bacon, Lettuce, Tomato with Sun Dried Tomato Pesto) and though the ingredients were fresh, the chicken was on the very dry side! I paid almost $ 9 for that sandwich. That’s quite a lot for a sandwich. Still, they have a good selection of fresh foods. Some downsides: the hours are a bit inconvenient(open only until 7pm most days and 6pm on Sundays), and there’s limited seating inside. On a nice day, you have the option of sitting outside(they have a couple tables available out there).
