Anointed Hair Styling and Braiding

Katherine did an excellent job on the curly crochet installation! I am definitely pleased with the overall service. I’ll be sure to refer others, as well as visit again in the future.
I like the fact I can pay for the service & tip via credit card. I also like the location. I paid $ 4 total for parking in the retail parking deck (about 3 – 4 hours stay). Great restaurants in the vicinity if you want to grab a bite before or after your appointment.

I really had a hair emergency and was looking frantically for weave stylists in the DC metro area. My old weave had really become tangled and was making me look like a terrible mess. As I am very careful in taking care of my hair, I usually take considerable time in finding a stylist I can trust to not compromise the health of my hair. I randomly chose Anointed Hair and hoped for the best. It turns out, I was NOT disappointed! Katherine is an AMAZING stylist!!! For $ 250, she not only gave me a new full sew-​in, but she took out the old hair too! Although I am a student, her price was reasonable in comparison to the ridiculous amounts that other weave stylists in DC charge. Katherine is patient, hard working, efficient, and respectful; she really takes her time to ensure that you have a style you will love. I love the look of her salon, and after seeing myself today in a variety of settings, I have to say that I am very PLEASED with her work!!! I must admit, I am a natural critic. Yet, Mrs. Katherine’s work was so impressive, I was giving myself double takes all day. Needless to say, I will be back!!!

I requested corn rows. They lasted for almost 3 months in really good condition. Hundreds of compliments. The style was inspired by a picture I saw on the internet and brought to her. As long as you are attentive in what you are looking for, she does a great job delivering what you have in mind.

It has been a veeeery long time since getting my hair braided or twisted. But I am very please with Katherine! She was very patient with me and my tender scalp!!! Lol She even re-​braided my hair based off my preference and for that alone I was truly appreciative. The time passed pretty quickly and I enjoyed the other stylist and client watching Netflix. So the environment is very cozy and immediately I felt very comfortable. I will definitely go back for all of my braiding/​twisting and crotchet needs!!!
I used StyleSeat app to make my appointment. Just keep in mind that it will automatically charge and initially add 20−30% tip… but you can change the amount. Katherine is so humble and honest that she was so upset that it automatically charged that amount… I couldn’t give that much based off my budget, but nonetheless a person like her and her craft are worth it. Again, I will be back in about 2 months!

Mrs Catherine is by far one of the best hair stylist I been to! It was my first time going to her and I do plan on going back because it obvious that she has an anointing on her life. I got the instant dread locks and they came out amazing ! I don’t know any one in the tri state area that does these! They are kind of like faux lock but with out the pain lol. If you come to her you won’t regret it!

This was my first time here, but I’ll be back. Kathrine was great. She was friendly and treated me like a person.
I’m a relaxer girl and it was great to work with a stylist who respects that. That’s been hard to find lately. I also appreciated that she charged me the price that was listed on her Style Seat page. That’s been hard to find too.
Her technique is great and my hair looks wonderful. I’ll be back.

Katherine (the owner) is the rare combination of talent/​creativity and savvy/​conscientious business woman! Do yourself a favor and go to this studio for all your hair needs. Her location is convenient and her work is impeccable. I had small block braids done and I’ve gotten plenty of compliments. I will return for crochet braids in the near future. The studio is comfortable and although braids can take a while to install, Katherine and staff work expertly to get you back into the real world as quickly as possible.
