Avoid, avoid, avoid this place! The optometrist is polite and does the job. However, the reminder of the staff is unprofessional and clearly jaded from doing their job… especially Gregory! I’ve never spoken to a more rude, crass and unpleasant person at an eye shop. Could the job be that hectic? The answer to that question is No! I would not recommend this store, this location to no one. Period.

This is the worst location in the DC area. They don’t even answer the phone, nor do they respond to email. Have they closed or are they short staffed? I’ll order my contacts from 1 – 800 contacts from now on and save myself the trouble of terrible customer service.

This place has the worst customer service ever. It is terribly convenient that I have to stop in the store location to submit my prescription and then come back again to pick it up when it’s ready every time. I did not have to at other eye doctors. I called to see if there was a better way and was told to establish an online account and fax over a release form so that they’ll be authorized to release my prescription and fax it back to me. After which, I’d be able to order online. After I did my part, I waited hours for the fax and when I called to inform them that I hadn’t received it, I was told that they were«doing it now.» That was Friday, it is now Monday and still no fax.

Honestly some of the worst service I’ve ever seen. The people working there don’t like dealing with customers which is weird. I had to put my contacts on in the store and it was uncomfortable, since the staff was clearly irritated by how long I was taking and made it known. I paid for the 3 year contacts deal and regret it because I’m going to have to deal with these people for a while now. I made this Unilocal account just to negatively review the Brentwood America’s best. Just don’t go here, unless you want to say hi to the charming young man at the front desk. If someone sends you toward a large sassy man, steer clear of him. Also, the staff makes no sense, and their whole system is jank.

By far, the dirtiest and grossest eye exam place ever! Please wipe down your equipment, tear away obviously already used strips of paper and clean the bathroom… please and thank you.

I went there for their $ 69.95 deal for glasses. I arrived 15 minutes early and I didn’t get seen until 15 minutes after my appointment time(sucks). The staff was nice and helpful. I had my eye exam completed and I later went to look at frames. I WASVERYDISPLEASEDWITHTHESELECTION of frames they had however I found two frames that I found attractive considering my options to choose from. When I got to the desk to make my purchase for the frames(NOHIDDENFEES), the lady assisting me pointed out the eye doctor suggested on my prescription that I should get«poly something» lenses which I was confused about especially since the doctor did not express that to me(tisk tisk) so I politely declined… but I couldn’t help but think if the doctor made a suggestion for a specific lens she should have discussed why and additional information to me so I was a little pissed about that. I left content and I am currently waiting for my frames… TOBECONTINUED… So I got my frames the were bent all crazy I had to reorder one of my frames because it ran super small and my other frame was bent as well I was able to get my issues resolved however I’m not sure if I’ll be returning

Bought two pairs of eyeglasses here that seemed to take longer than usual to come in. When they performed my eye exam, the lady sat me down in the chair, then immediately went on her lunch break… I know she did, because when she came back she smelled of sandwich. Also, I lost one of the little nose-rester thingies from one of those pairs of glasses, and went in to get it replaced. A few days later, went to pick them up, just like the young lady at the front desk told me to do,(SAME young lady), and she looked at me as if she had no clue what I was referring to. They weren’t ready… She found my glasses randomly stashed away somewhere, and promised to fix them right away. You know she replaced the lil nose thingies with two of the largest and most horrendous nose thingies known to man? She also threw the one that wasn’t broken away so I had no clue of knowing how to just find a match for it. Although, I loved the 2 pairs of glasses I received, yeah, my experience there sucked. I was treated like an irrelevant step nephew. I’ll have to do this online next time, since I’ve heard good things about a few of those services.

You get what you pay for at this location. The service is not good, the glasses selection is pretty bad, and they are always trying to selling you WAY more than is necessary. Also, although the frames are cheap, the lenses are actually quite expensive(and again, they will tack on stuff without asking you, like special coatings, etc, and will not even tell you unless you ask why it is so expensive). Also, getting glasses back from them takes 7 – 10 business days – which is ridiculous.

The office staff is very nice and helpful but the doctors are awful. DONOT go here unless you want the doctors to mess up your prescription and sub par service. They hardly answered any of my questions when I asked and did not have the kind of contacts I wear in the store. The doctors are really really awful. I would never go back here!

I give them two stars because I took a perscription there, and it is possible that the perscription might have been the problem, though it was brand new and from a doctor I trust. Suffice to say, I basically threw $ 100 away. They made me a pair of unwearable glasses and wouldn’t remake them, and my doctor swears they made them wrong. Won’t get a perscription filled by anybody other than the optomologist I had the eye exam with ever, ever again.

I got my glasses from America’s Best about 6 or 7 months ago. They were really inexpensive — $ 39 for the frames, and the thinned out lenses were around $ 89, which includes a 1 year warranty on the entire frames and lens package for pretty much anything, accidents included. My glasses are the most comfortable glasses I’ve ever owned, and I’ve gotten glasses from both chains and private offices before. Their selection of frames is somewhat limited, though. I found that many of them were made for very small faces, but there are a couple of gems that can be found if you already know what shapes fit your face. If you happen to find two that are nice, they have good 2-for deals, starting at $ 89, I think. Special lenses will be add-ons. After I got my glasses, I’ve heard that America’s Best is not that great of a place to go for glasses, but I had a really good experience there. I brought my prescription from my regular eye doctor, and just picked out my glasses there, so I don’t know if their eye doctors are good. The staff were helpful and friendly, though. Minus 1 star for limited selection.
