Absolutely wonderful food. Completely non-pretentious. Friendly, warm service. Adorable location. Very tiny — make reservations if you have a group and are traveling!

I’ve had 1 meal here and it was really good. Only issue was it was small. The garlic fries were no joke. They were GARLIC. But, even though it was small, it was perfectly cooked. The burger was delicious, it was different than most. Probably from the organic and free range ingredients. They bring out the best in their ingredients, and if the volume of food was smaller id still give them 4 stars. I’d like to see better garlic fries(less garlic, better ratio) but they earned these stars

Can you only order what’s up on the board for dinner, or am I an idiot and could have asked for a menu? We weren’t given menus when seated, so I assumed the«specials» were all we had to choose from. A little disappointed I couldn’t get a burger or brisket sandwich, but everything I did have was fantastic. We started with a cheese plate which was pretty standard. It came with a nice pepper salsa and some bread. We also ordered the cherry pepper poppers. These were interesting. Might’ve been better if the cherry peppers were chopped up, because I would get one bite that was all cherry pepper and one bite that was all cheese. To this point of the meal, I thought The Grange was good but not great. Charming, high-quality, but nothing amazing. That’s when my chili arrived. Since most of my predetermined selections were what’s on(apparently) the lunch menu, I had to «settle» for the chili. The lamb, pork, and beef combination sounded interesting, and I wanted something smaller for my entrée having had two appetizers. The chili was holy crap good. The best chili I’ve ever had. So rich and perfectly seasoned. Each bite just exploded with flavor. The herbed crème fraîche helped brighten things up too. My parents loved their meals as well, but oh my god, that chili…

Absolutely loved this place. Friendly staff, inviting menu and oh-so-quaint. We had the amazing brisket sandwich and a burger. Both were great. A nice place to go before a show at Sugar Loaf Performing Arts Center.

I can’t think of better meal than the one we just enjoyed at The Grange. Phenomenal. The three of us had: burger, brisket sandwich, gyros, greek salad. Amazing place. Excellent service. Lovely people. All the ingredients are local. Normally this kind of meal would cost a small fortune but the three of us ate(with a big pot of coffee and a couple of sangrias and desert for my 5 year old) for about 60 bucks. Incredible.

The place is really nice, very modern farmhouse. Very cool. The food is delicious. But nothing on the menu is vegan, I don’t know why it comes up on Unilocal as vegan food. I had a hard time finding anything to eat — I decided on a salad and asked for it without cheese. I wish they had more vegan options, then we would be back often!

I will cut to the chase: it’s all worth it. Here’s the deal for out-of-towners from the city: The Grange is a small establishment with a very personal touch. Obviously different than NYC restaurants! THEFOOD! Holy crap. We got the brisket sandwich and the burger with provolone cheese, and everything is locally sourced. I have never ever eaten such amazing beef in all of my life. You could tell that cow had a happy life. And all sandwiches are only $ 11! I had eaten a lot of NYC’s best burgers and The Grange’s is beyond compare. You may have to park down the street and/or wait an hour for a table and/or wait another 40 minutes for your entrée once you’ve ordered. This is why I gave 4⁄5 stars. There’s something really special about having a two-hour experience at a restaurant — and luckily we had the time — but it is quite the process. Then again, in the country, the pace can be a little slower. That’s why you escape the city in the first place. But seriously. Get the beef.

This was a very good experience and I would recommend for anyone coming through. I stopped in today and had one of the best burgers I’ve had in my life. The service was great, very friendly.

Great food and atmosphere. Went here for lunch while apple picking in the area. Restaurant is in a quant house away from the busy areas. There are only 7 tables so you really need to book ahead. Inside is cozy, feels like you are in someones kitchen. Corn chowder was excellent, fish tacos were excellent, and the hamburger is amazing. Fish and chips were ok, fish needed a bit more seasoning. Great experience, and absolutely worth a visit.

Drove all the way from NYC to try this place and I was not disappointed. Having fresh, local organic food is always refreshing and this place has it all. The atmosphere is very homely and the service was excellent, great staff! There’s a great selection of farm fresh dishes: We had the cheese plate, veg. egg roll for appetizer and I had the burger and onion rings for entrée. I really enjoyed the cheese plate more than the egg roll, the egg roll is not your traditional egg roll; it has a much healthier twist. The burger was good, really juicy but I felt like there was too much butter on it. I think was the combination of the buttered bun and cheddar cheese. But I will def return to try the rest of the menu!

Excellent farm to table restaurant. Potato Leek Soup is as good as it gets. Cod special was outstanding. Sausage Sandwich needed to be cooked a bit more but was very fresh and tasty. Skip the onion rings, as they were overly battered. Apple crisp was outstanding. Wine was awful. Stick to the Docs Apple Cider in the bottle or the fresh squeezed orange juice. Servers were very nice. Would definately return.

Really, really good food and service, but some questionable decisions kept them from that 5-star rating. We went apple picking in Warwick on a dreary, rainy day. My parents had been to The Grange a couple months before the review in the NY Times and loved it. This place is TINY! You need a reservation because there are so few tables. We didn’t have one, but the overly-accommodating staff sat us anyways, provided we ate before the next reservation came. Apps: Caesar salad and heirloom tomato soup w/strata. I’m not usually a cream-based soup fan, but my god, this was excellent. The tomato flavor was fresh and delicious, and the cheese complemented it perfectly. The salad was really good, too, but standard. For dinner, the four of us got the chip steak, homemade sausage, and pulled pork sandwiches, as well as the salmon tacos. The taco was excellent – really well-flavored and absolutely delicious. Same goes for the country sausage with pesto and aoli(I think?). My only complaints with the meal surrounded the pulled pork and chipsteak – both were topped with cheese, which I think was unnecessary and totally detracted from the food. The pork and steak were great on their own, but the cheeses added a weird texture and flavor that made it not quite right. I know they bake their own buns, but the bread was simply way, way too dense. Regardless of the missteps, I would definitely go back. Calling this place«farm to table» is an understatement. A truly wonderful experience.

Make a reservation! 5 walk-ins turned down and for good reason. Grange salad, eggplant lentil cream soup, sea bass with turnip — all 5 stars. The special flank? ran out and got replaced by a rib steak which was just ok, the accompanying fingerling mash potato and corn was great though.

Organic, fresh ingredients. This place is a serendipitous find. We were out at Tuxedo Park for the Spartan Race when we tried looking for a spot. Unilocal guided us to this beautiful, cozy restaurant. The exterior and interior design is just so beautiful, all vintage. This place is great for a formal dinner. Surrounded by trees, this place really is dreamy. And the fact that they grow their own flowers and herbs too is amazing. I brought some flowers home for my mom. Fell in love with this place, can’t wait to go back.

Cannot emphasize enough how awesome this place is! The food and service here are great! If you’re a burger lover like myself you will not be disappointed with a juicy, delicious, grass fed burger topped with local cheddar and bacon. YUM. Oh– and don’t forget the garlic fries. My mouth is watering just thinking about it. I’ve had a bit of everything on their menu(obsessed much?!) and you really cannot go wrong. The entrees are always great as well as the soups and salads. The corn chowder is my absolute favorite and the grange dressing is so good you want to lick it off the plate when you’re done. Make sure to save room for dessert too. I know that they change them now and again but anything they make(especially with chocolate) is to die for. The coffee is also fantastic and locally roasted nearby. I would recommend The Grange to anyone who loves to eat as much as I do. You can tell that they take pride in their food, as well as in the fact that they give back to the community by buying local meat and produce as well as featuring local artists’ artwork on their walls. A true gem The Grange is and I cannot wait to go back! :)

WARNING: We were excited to try this restaurant for the first time, and even invited our neighbors to join. We drove 45 minutes to get there. While their menu has good variety and organic/local farm ingredients, the service is less than acceptable. To be honest… Poor! They have signs posted in the restaurant that read, «Be nice… Bad attitudes are not welcome at The Grange«. They need to listen to their own advice as two of our waitstaff were very rude, unaccommodating, and just simply lacked customer service skills. The only reason I did not give them a 1 star rating is because the food was good, and again the organic and local farm ingredients is a highlight. Hope that the staff will improve, and because of the menu, we may give them a second chance. If you give this place a try, be on the watch for less than stellar service and hopefully it won’t ruin your good meal.

Ah-mazing! I almost don’t want to write anything else and just leave it at that. Everthing is fresh and grown locally. So fresh its grown on the family farm. Presentation is top notch, edible flowers!!! My mom and I split 3 apps for lunch and left content and happy. Just look at the pictures.

What a cool place to have lunch. My boyfriend found this spot and wasn’t expecting much. Staff greets with a smile and always ask if things are ok. The food is really good and healthy yet has its own flavors. The potato leek soup was delicious. I also enjoyed the wild fish gyro. Great spot to have lunch.

One of my favorite places ever to eat, why couldn’t we have a grange in central jersey! This is the third time eating here, the first 2 were in the same weekend when my bf and I did a small trip to Warwick. Ever since then, this is all we rave about! Can’t remember exactly what I got the first 2 times, I think maybe the cheese board, lemon curd dessert, fish tacos, and I think the beef brisket sandwich? Either way you can’t go wrong with anything on the menu here. This time we did the winter squash soup, chicken wings, and confit duck leg entrée. My bf and friend did the flatiron steak and cod fish. All were the specials on the chalkboard. All AMAZING. The winter squash soup is probably my favorite by far. Idk what it was about the toasted seeds and croutons, but they just paired so beautifully with the squash. Ended with the bread pudding. My god it does not disappoint. We have to go all out every time we come here since there is nothing nearly as good as this place back home. Everything so amazingly fresh and satisfying. Mountain creek isn’t my favorite mountain to go to, but I damn sure as hell am so happy I went today, so I could finally have The Grange again! Can’t wait for the next time I’m in the area.

Make it your mission to stop by The Grange if you’re in the area. The Grange eats will not disappoint. They’re dedicated to local, good food. We picked up beef and pork from Lowland Farm and were looking for a local bite to eat. We’re from the city and on this visit a diner, pizza joint, fast food stop just wasn’t on our list of desirable bites. The Grange hit the spot. It seems like we weren’t the only ones who knew about the Grange on our visit. The restaurant quickly filled up as we finished our meal. Whether it’s a sandwich, soup, or entrée of the day from the colorful chalkboard; every dish out of the kitchen will delight your culinary senses. After we ordered and settled in, a dish of warm rolls and flavored oil arrived. Who serves bread before meals anymore? The Grange and I thank you. I think they make the rolls in-house along with everything else we would come to find out. Having come from Lowland Farm, we placed order for cheese steak sandwiches and the daily soup. The rutabaga soup was hot, smooth, mild, filling and topped with crunchy croutons and sprinkled with chives. Perfect for a rainy day. The cheese steak sandwiches arrived on a thoughtful, shiny, slightly chewy bun; not the overly used brioche or boring hoagie bun. The sandwiches arrived with the choice of french fries or beer battered onion rings. We choose french fries hoping for the best but willing to settle for previously frozen fries. The Grange makes their own golden, wedged, skin-on, french fries. Their french fries are delicious. Service was just as genuine as their food. Our server was knowledgeable and friendly. She manned the whole restaurant herself on a Saturday afternoon. If you’re in a rush, you may want to order takeout or come before the rush. Or take your time, enjoy the charm and delicious, carefully made food at The Grange. The Grange is a diamond in the rough. Love this place.
