The prices are very high but there’s worse outside of the airport. We came here to see my son off. One hour before he needs to board so we are stuck with waiting in the otherwise business empty airport. Of course we can’t enter the gated area. So this is all there is. It is not bad. We were here at 1 pm. There were a few(read 2,) tables occupied and no one at the bar. One woman was taking care of both bar and restaurant. She was doing an excellent job of it too. Most tables are located close to the open area that lead to the South West plane company’s check in stations. The menu is limited: burgers, a few entrees, appetizers, salads, soups and a few desserts. For the most part it’s expensive $ 10+ for burgers, $ 7 for soup. We got an order of nachos and cheese not expecting much but yellow goo and chips. We were surprised when a fresh plate of nachos with green onions, olives, real cheese melted over tortillas arrived with four small plastic cups, two with salsa and two with sour cream arrived. C got a cranberry and vodka drink(make that 3,) and Mom and I got unsweetened teas. The teas were wonderful. Fresh brewed, no hint of moldy taste, no sweetener whatsoever and a generous hunk of lemon on the side. Our stay wasn’t long but we over tipped the waitress(25%). She deserved it. I’d definitely come here again.

Big restaurant in PVD airport. Good things about this place: lots of seating. Clean. Well maintained. Room for improvement: speed of service(incredibly slow. Thank goodness I’m not in a hurry.), quality of food(edible. Not horrible.), background noise(tvs turned up loud to compete with piped-in jazz).

Came there about 3pm. Bartender was very kind. Beer was wicked pricey, and I know that is to be expected, but sheesh. For a tall Blue Moon it was $ 9.75 or so. I didn’t even want a double beer, I must not have been paying attention. I was stuck waiting for someone, and they got a decent bar menu, but if given the freedom and choice(odd words for an airport nowadays), go somewhere else please! Every food item is base priced at $ 9+, btw.

What is there to say about a typical airport bar? I came in here for a few drinks and dessert before my flight. You don’t have to go through security to get here, so it is a nice place to say goodbye before the queue. It looked like the type of place that could easily get crowded. There was construction going on so I didn’t bother looking out of the massive glass wall facing the terminals. The selection on the menu wasn’t too good. There were only two desserts to choose from and one was unavaliable. At least my choice was easier(rolls eyes). The lava cake I had was decent, but not Cheesecake Factory. I sat at the bar with H, which was fine since I was able to watch ESPN and chat with the bartender. Staff here is pretty friendly.
