Awful. Don’t be fooled by its name, this is nothing like the actual Providence Oyster Bar. This is airport food served in a filthy restaurant that is completely understaffed by apathetic waitstaff. Oysters on the half shell are $ 3.19 each. I ask you, who would eat oysters on the half she’ll in an airport? Yikes. We got burgers. Low quality beef, cooked incorrectly. Why ask which temperature you’d like your burger, if the kitchen will just churn our greasy hockey pucks? So glad we skipped the raw shellfish before a long flight. p

Oyster bar at the airport also offer good NE oyster and clam chowder. Had a quick lunch here while waiting for flight. Food is great so is the bartender. Floor had some messy while sitting in, seems more afterhour cleaning is needed.

Service was good not great. I stopped for lunch and ordered the fried cod sandwich w/fries. Not a fan of the batter, hard & thick. I needed to take the fish out of it to eat it. I would not order the seasoned fries, the seasoning tasted like a cheap bag of barbecue chips. My mistake, had I read«seasoned», I would have ordered them plain. For airport food, OK

Good food, particularly for airport. Service not great. I kind felt like I was imposing on the waitress. They were a few obvious regulars — the waitress treated them like family, so maybe she needs to get to know you first.

The food was okay but nothing exceptional to be so expensive. The waiter was rude and had no customer service skills. Had to ask for utensils and condiments. Seriously, for the price of the food I’d expect better waiters with better customer service. Disappointed.

Had a quick lunch here the other day. I have fairly low expectations in airport dining — and that doesn’t translate often to ordering riskier seafood(i.e., raw anything, sushi, oysters, clams, mussels) in airports… My only exception has been sushi in JFK /T5 — until now. On the advice of my fellow traveler — I ordered the clams+beans+sausage starter/appetizer(don’t recall the name) as my lunch. Glad I did. It was great and a good portion of little necks(8) and light colored beans(butter beans?) with good sized slices of sausage plus an oversized roll(perfect for soaking up the garlicky, delicious broth that also seemed to have a hint of red pepper and olive oil). As others have mentioned, service can be a little slow(they all seem understaffed in the airport restaurants lately) and I haven’t tried anything else on the menu — but that item was good and I would go out of my way to stop there the next time I’m flying out of PVD.

Microwaved Mac and cheese for my son, not very good for even airport standards. Server never came back to the table to ask how the food was or if we wanted anything else. But on his defense there was only one server and one bartender, can’t fault poor staffing.

I had just went threw security and I love oysters so we went to the oyster bar .I was very excited to have some delicious oysters, before I left Rhode Island .upon sitting at the bar, I Greeted HILARYWITH A SMILE. She didn’t greet me she just turned her head and Gave me a half smile and looked away, she didn’t even speak. So then her. Obviously prejudice self. Comes over with a attitude and says DOYOUWANT A DRINKORSOMETHING ‚”” I said NO. And she turned her back to me and walked away, before I could even reply with a request. So we asked a waitress can we not order food at the bar. SHESAIDYESYOUCAN .I HADSEENSOMEGENTLEMANEATINGATTHEBAR .I GUESSTHEYWERETHEONLYONESALLOWEDTOEAT . Way overpriced but you expect that when eating inside of an airport. For the price you would expect a high level of service but it is not here. The wait staff are the same people that work at the other restaurants in the airport as one company runs them all.

Food was ok; I eat oysters and seafood all the time do just got a burger and buddy got cod sangwich. Service was ok but I guesss my real problem was with the drinks. Got a Bloody Mary and buddy got margi with salt. Bloody and margi both came back barely any ice, no salt, and bloody had just a lemon wedge; no olives or anything. It was pretty weak and no horseradish but mix was ok and tobasco on table. I ordered a second as I had a nipper for airplane to get it going and requested olives. Came back same way, lemon wedge and no olives or anything. I asked server if he had any olives and he brought me over two. Got the bill and bloodys were $ 14.39 as they were apparently doubles! Booo. Come on now…

Providence Oyster Bar is located on the left hand side after security at TF Green airport. I stopped in for a Shock Top and the chili wings. The bartender was friendly and attentive. Traditionally, airport food isn’t the best. It’s usually reheated food that was previously cooked. That is not the case with Providence Oyster Bar. The wings were perfectly fried. The skin was crispy and the sauce tasted like a slightly doctored Frank’s Red Hot. The wings were served with really chunky blue cheese dressing, celery, and fire roasted peppers. I was completely surprised by how good these wings were. I also saw little necks and a few sandwiches. Everything looked great. I will definitely stop at POB the next time I fly out of TF Green. You should too.

I agree with other reviews. It’s pricey and service is lacking just a wee bit. However, I really did enjoy my meal.

The raw bar here is great and so are the bartenders. I always eat here every year when I come out to visit friends and family. I love their chowder and they make a great cape codder

My go to spot when I’m in Providence airport. This time I had a clam chowder and baked clams. Both were tasty and fresh. A much better than fast food option. Nice wine and beer choices too. Service is quick and efficient.

Stopped by for lunch waiting for my flight home; I ordered the Lobster Bisque and a Lobster Roll. I must say for my personal preference the Lobster Roll has way too much celery in it which overpowered the taste of the lobster which I love so much. I know there are different styles of lobster rolls, but this one to me was just okay, not great! The Lobster Bisque was pretty good, I was surprised how many prices of lobster were actually in it. It could have been served hotter, or should I say warmer. One other comment was the timing of the food was off, I just barely got my bisque and the lobster roll was at the table! All in all, not bad for waiting around the airport.

I quite enjoyed this. Not daring enough to have a plate full of raw oysters before a 3 hour flight, I went with the lobster roll. Having had one recently at Legal C, this blew it away… really enjoyed it and the fries that came with. Will eat here again.
