I just read a previous review on someone having a bad experience with their order — no substitutes even when told the recipient had strawberry allergies — stated corporate policy — ‘if you don’t like it — call corporate’ — she did and they happily agreed to substitution; I wanted delivery in north kingstown ri and believe warwick to be closest so tried them anyway; cyber monday — coupon for $ 15 off until 11:59 today; When I tried to place the order with this store — I was told in order to use the coupon I had to place the order on line and i had 4 minutes to do so … seriously ?? I told her I had just placed a local order in New Hampshire and they were happy to take my order — with coupon code — over the telephone; I did tell her she was very ‘unhelpful’ and hung up. I then called the next suggested store, I believe in Newport RI, asked how far they were from North Kingstown — she said about 20 minutes(which was the same time frame from this post road store) — and she was happy to take my order and honor the cyber coupon. I understand why the store on Post Rd has such a bad ‘well-deserved’ reputation. I would definitely not give them my business.

Horrible first experience working with Edible Arrangements. I had a unique situation where I needed to order something for a birthday that happened to fall on Valentines. When I called this particular store I was told I HAD to buy one of the Valentines selections as they were the only ones that could be made that day per corporate policy. Not exactly my plan but I went with it. I also asked if there was any way I could substitute a fruit out for the strawberries(which are in every Valentines selection) and was told no. The person I was buying the arrangement for has a slight allergy and can do with contact but if she ingests them she breaks out into hives. I was told they could absolutely NOT substitute because everything was limited by corporate and that maybe it might be better if I didn’t order anything at all. When I mentioned that I thought that was a rather unhelpful policy the woman who was helping me told me if I didn’t like it I should call corporate. So I did. After making it through the(rather confusing) queue, I was helped by a woman who, while couldn’t help me DID refer me to the Providence location on Westminster Ave. She told me that my best bet on getting help would be to ask a manager to make the substitution. So I called Providence and spoke to the manager there who was MORETHANHAPPY to accommodate me, substituting strawberries for more pineapple, grapes and chocolate covered apples. I was able to speak with a woman named Beth who made recommendations based on what I wanted and completed my order. All this basically showed me that the excuse about corporate policy was just that, an excuse. They would rather be lazy then make a few simple substitutions and rather deal with the unhappy member by simply referring them to corporate to complain. I work in customer service/member relations as a career and while this usually means I am more empathetic in many situations I tend to take it personally when rebuffed. I have to compromise and make accommodations for people on a daily basis and understand this is the core responsibility in any service driven job. This particular store failed dismally at this and WOULDNEVER recommend anyone go here. Rather, your time is better spent at the Westminster Ave location. Hopefully people will see this and it will deter you. If not, good luck.
