Don’s Pizza Restaurant

Great spinach pies and pigs in a blanket! Cash only! My boyfriend also loves their pepperoni and onion pizza.

Ben going here for years since I was little kid. So at least 20 years. It’s my parents favorite place and they don’t mind driving to pick it up. Extra cheese is awesome specially when you get it with that nice cheese crust on the top. If you live in Warwick this place is worth getting in your car to pick up. If you live outside make your way here anyways you will like it.

This place is great! I love how they make even the top of the pizza well done. I always get a mushroom onion pizza well done and a chef salad… They make their own Italian dressing and it’s delish! Nice people… The restaurant itself looks like a time warp (I like that!!) it’s very clean inside. I love that Don’s is so close to home!

Hands down best pizza ever!!! My son is a very picky eater and everytime we order pizza he wants Dons pizza! Everyone is so friendly too! :)

On Saturday I was undecided to know where to eat lunch with my brother. We were going up Warwick Ave and I looked over and saw Don’s. We ordered a large pizza with pepperoni and peppers. We waited a little bit and a steaming pie came out. I asked my brother what he thought. «Good», and I agreed. I would go back and plan to.

I have been getting food here since I was a kid. Their prices are beyond reasonable, maybe too much so. The staff is always friendly and say hello, even if you’re not a «regular». I have tried just about everything on this menu and I have to say my favorites are the salad (the dressing is AWESOME), the spinach pies, the pizza, the spaghetti and sausage, and my favorite grinder/​sub is the chicken parm. So freeken good. The only thing I have always wished for is delivery, but it is okay, they’re worth the ride. This is also probably how they keep their prices down.

I too have not tried many things off the menu but what I do get is so prime!
Their extra cheese is amaze balls! A little well done and the cheese is this thick layer of crispy deliciousness that is my lactose intolerant stomach’s nightmare but my tastebuds greatest joy.
I have a signature pizza I order everytime I come here (no, you can’t have it!) and as soon as I call in I get «Is this Andy?» MY FAVORITE THING in the world!
Yes, the staff can be a bit surly at times but keep prospective. They are a twenty plus year establishment used to serving the same customer base day after day. Economonic times have adjusted this norm a bit. After the financial crisis and flooding many of those old schoolers have moved out of Warwick and impacted their client base. So it’s not that they’re rude or mean, they just need to warm up to you, they’re a family type establishment who rejoice in being a part of the community. If you just walk in with your head down and a frown don’t expect them to cheer up your day or ask what’s wrong, it’s not their style.
My perception of the staff is totally opposite. I’m a very warm, friendly and outgoing person. I don’t give a shit if someone cops an attitude with me, I’ll just be nicer to piss them off. I never had to do this with them. As soon as they saw I was respectful and a regular I got and get the golden treatment.
Don’s is very plain. Pizza, subs, salads, spinach pies. No mozzarella sticks, no french fries… just what I said. The toppings are very plain too — no buffalo chicken etc. So just plan accordingly when ordering… except Monday’s, they’re closed!

Pizza was overcooked to the point that the cheese was tough to chew through. The dark color alone was a tip-​off. Ingredients seemed to be ok but can’t understand how it could be getting such good reviews.

Don’s definitley has the best pizza around town and possibly in RI! Great pizza, good prices.

I haven’t tried many things off the menu but I know for sure, the pizza beats all the other chains in the area. The sauce is good and they brown the cheese just right. My favorite part would probably be the crust, it’s that perfectly crispy outside with that perfectly soft center. I’m also a huge fan of their house salad, their dressing is killer. If you’re in the area wanting pizza I would definitely stop into Dons, they are cheap and yummy!
