I am only writing about the automotive department– rude. I called with a simple question and it took 30 minutes to get a half-assed answer. I spoke with several people in this department and every one of them was short with their responses or put me on hold with no warning. It was so unbelievably unprofessional.

If you have a choice, save yourself a lot of time and do not shop here. I’ve stopped in here for one or two items more than once, thinking that I would be able to get in and out quickly. Wrong. There’s usually only 1 or 2 checkout lanes open and they’re excruciatingly slow. Plan on waiting in line for at least 15 – 20 minutes prior to check-out. Most of the employees are rude and the place is dirty. The last time I was here I only wanted to return 2 paper bags of bottles. I walked in and realized only 1 out of 5 machines were working so I spent 20 minutes trying to find someone to help get the machines up and running. I first spoke to the door woman and asked if there was someone who could fix the bottle machines and she replied, «I doubt it» then told me to wait in the customer service line, which had a very long, slow moving line, so I didn’t even try. I went to the other side and asked the other door woman if someone could help and she asked a cashier, who came to the bottle room as soon as he was finished with his customer. He never actually got the machines to work and I ended up going to Kroger down the street. This store is a big waste of time.

The young man, «A», in auto service, had my part ready since I’d called ahead. He was very courteous, and offered additional services. Thanks for the help.

You’d think it would stay clean because they jus built it but I guess not. They’ve been open for like a year and it looks terrible in there. The staff is so rude and it’s easy to believe they don’t understand what good customer service means.

Rude, rude, rude and dirty to boot! Like most of the reviews said, set your expectations low and please just drive the few extra miles and go to Meijjers!!!

Sometimes I see things from Wal-Mart employees that takes a while for me to process. Now, I keep in mind that this is Wal-Mart, and my expectations aren’t sky high to begin with. I have been to Wal-Mart twice in the past month, and was reminded both times why I travel four more miles each way to shop at Meijer. Time 1: At 8am on a Saturday we got a couple of DVDs and whatnot that were on sale. We go to the checkout line, and six employees are having a conversation in the walking aisle. Hey, that’s cool, it’s 8ish and no one is here. But you would think at least one employee would walk to their open register and ring us up. Nope, we just kind of stood there for an awkward 30 seconds until a manager told one of Wal-Mart’s finest to ring us up. I don’t really know what to say in such a situation. I apologize to the employees for interupting their work hours for one of them to, you know… work. Time 2: This takes the cake. We visit Wal-Mart on a Saturday at 11 am, and it is actually not that busy and there were plenty of visible employees. We ordered some photos and we got a text to pick them up, which was the reason of our visit. So, we go to the photo center. Although there were a couple of employees in the area, they were apparently not photo center employees, nor got the photo center employee on duty. The woman did finally come to the photo center. She simply walked past us, didn’t acknowledge us, looked at her phone and started walking back out, again, without acknowledging us. This is pretty awkward. My wife basically said, «Uh?» This got the fine employee’s attention. Instead of, heaven forbid, actually ringing us up, she needed to «do stuff and be right back in a minute». And by a minute, we mean five. This fine employee then proceeded to talk to a coworker the entire time ringing our one item up. To say the entire experience is awkward is an understatement. Just go to Meijer.

The WHOLE store was freezing cold. Even an employee at the register said she was freezing. The ladies restroom was absolutely filthy, I mean every single stall was super nasty. They were out of stock of so many items-small sized black pepper, pure coconut extract, etc. Cashier was nice. Was just a very uncomfortable shopping experience. I would prefer a warmer, cleaner environment that is properly stocked with items besides 500 types of cookies.

Giving 3 stars because it is new and my shopping experience was quiet and relatively clean. Lits of boxes and employees filling shelves. The store you would think being new would be organized. Not so much. Items are thrown on shelves and on racks with no rhyme or reason. I was going through the deli section and heard a patron ask for the deli manager. The rude response she received made me stop and watch. Who are you to question why a patron wants to speak with a manager? It would be nice to have a clean and happy location to go to on the east side. I give this place a couple more months until its filled with local junk!

Well first off I never go into a wallmart with my expectations set to high. This is not the type of establishment where you go. Wow I paid so much I deserve to get exceptional service… no you just paid 97 cents for a pack of 92 forks and 3 bucks for a new shirt get over it. The are so huge they’ll survive off of only 2 star reviews. And you will go back because your saving huge! It was dirty. Employees were rude. It was unorganized. But hey WELCOME to Wal-Mart my friends come again.

They just opened a couple weeks ago, and I had high hopes because it was more convenient for me… let down. I moved here from West Michigan 2 years ago and I’ve never experienced such negative encounters with Wal-marts on the West side of the state. It seems that every Wall-Mart that I go to in the Greater Detroit area is dirty and the staff seem to lack any customer service training or skills. There is never enough lanes open so waiting in line is something NOONE loves doing. There isn’t much organization to the shelf stocking at night, just boxes and carts filling the aisles so patrons have a difficult time maneuvering throughout the facility. I will continue to do my shopping at Meijer on Mound.
